Geez. Yuubari's stunt really caused a bit of trouble this time. The materials she needed were so rare and unheard of, I'm surprised that HQ has access to them. Anyway, putting that aside, the fleet was finally able to break through and brought the Princess down to her halfway point. All we needed to do was sent out support expedition fleets to take out as many small fries as possible so that we can focus on the princess. Hopefully we can sink that snake, or eel, before I run out of buckets and resources.

Back to the 2 little shipgirls, they really don't want to leave my side at all. I had to call Ooyodo and Yuudachi to help me handle them while I take care of personal matters. Since the both of them can't speak, they would either pull on my shirt or make some weird noises to get our attention. Shigure isn't much of a problem. As long as I'm nearby, she would remain silent and play on her own. She also seems fine with Yuudachi entertaining her. Zuihou, on the other hand, is extremely troublesome. She would constantly cry out to get my attention and would flail about when she is not in contact with any part of my body.

I still can't believe they are going to be like this for the next 3 days. Damn it, Yuubari.

"Unyaa! Myaa!" (Zuihou)

"All right all right. I heard you."

Zuihou was making these weird noises and her arms were outstretched. She is begging to be picked up again. I just put the both of them down because my legs were getting numb from them claiming my lap as their chair. Shigure... somehow managed to climb back up on her own. Now she is trying to climb onto the desk.

"Stop it. It's dangerous."

I grabbed Shigure and placed her back onto my lap.

"Just stay here."

"Admiral, we got an update on the operation. Should I summarise it?" (Ooyodo)

"Go ahead."

"As of 1200 hours, we are at the last dance." (Ooyodo)

"So now the hard part. Make sure everyone is fully rest before sortieing again. Adjust the support fleets equipment of necessary."

"Understood. Excuse me." (Ooyodo)

The last dance of a mission is always the hardest part. Like a video game boss, the lower it's health, the stronger it gets. They would usually get tougher to damage or evade most attacks. They can even do more damage than before. Whose idea was it to make them stronger as they get weaker? It's so stupid!

"Enyaa..." (Zuihou)

"Nada?" (Shigure)

Both of them looked at me with concerned eyes. Either they understood my frustration or they are just bewildered.

Zuihou and Shigure proceeded to try and hug me as tightly as possible. A fluffy feeling appeared from within me. It's like all my frustrations were gone instantly.

Okay. Maybe they understood what was going on.

"I'm alright. Thank you."

I pet both of their heads. Since they are going to be like this for a while, might as well enjoy it. At least they are cute.
