Paying The Price
Chapter 38 - She Didn't Want To Stay Behind.
Immediately Diana walked out of the building, she caught sight of a familiar face. A face that made her blood boil. She held the gifts in bags in one hand and pulled Pearl towards Wayne.
"Diana I..."
Pak
Diana released her grip from Pearl and shut Wayne's mouth with a hard earned slap.
Leon shrugged from behind as Pearl's eyes widened with surprise.
"What kind of an animal takes his daughter to a mission and calls it a vacation?!" Fury could be seen in Diana's eyes.
She had had enough, she didn't care if he owned half of the country or anything, her daughter was more important and she was prepared to do worst if something bad had happened to Pearl.
"It's not what you think..." Wayne tried to explain after recovering from his shock. Diana may be a little fragile but her hit wasn't, he could tell she put in a lot of energy in striking him.
"Of course it's not what I think, it's what it is." Diana said stating a fact.
"She didn't want stay behind."
"She didn't want to stay behind cause she was afraid of losing you again."
Diana sighed deeply and continued "Do you think it was easy for her to grow up without a father? She met you and didn't want to let go. If you had left a good impression about yourself in your first meeting, she would at least have a little confidence that you'll come back."
Her words were calm but after remembering something she became agitated once again "You know your problem you sh*t! You always cherish your words like its a golden piece of sh*t! If you had talked to me about it non of this would happen you bag of sh...."
"Um, Diana the kid is still here." Leon had to remind her.
Diana glared at Leon, covered her daughter's eyes while she struggled with the bags on her hand and gave Leon her middle finger.
She turned back to Wayne "We are done, as soon as we get back, get ready to sign the papers. And don't you dare resist."
........
In a large room filled with surveillance monitors.
Martinez walked up to the old man sited on a chair watching the scene outside the hotel live.
"You made me lose a big deal Mr Black."
Martinez wasn't happy when he received an order from this old man to let go of the weapon.
He stood by the old man and he watched the woman leave with her daughter.
"Are you sure it's her?" Martinez Garcia asked Mr Black who had been so engrossed watching the woman's every movement.
Without looking at Martinez the old man replied with a stern face "My blood isn't hard to recognize."
