“Little fella, stop pretending.” Mu Ru Yue lifted up the toddler by his collar, pulling him up to her eye level, before continuing, “Tell me what your origin is. Don’t tell me that you are unsure or that you have lost your memories as I won’t believe it!”

His fine and long palm-leaf fan-like eyelashes trembled slightly. The toddler lowered his gaze, hiding the ray of light in his eyes. He then said pitifully, “Mother, you really don’t recognise me? I’m your son.”

Mu Ru Yue smiled. The smile on her impeccable face subconsciously dazzled the crowd at that instant.

“I won’t force you to answer it since you don’t want to but I will know your true identity eventually. Yet, you currently are only my son no matter what previous identity you had.”

‘This brat is undoubtedly not as innocent as he looks externally. It is especially so since he had helped me a numerous times before. Thus, he must have a great origin.
