Xue Li covered her thoughts by eating her food calmly. Soon…

If she couldn't win grandma Feng's heart, then she'll have to cut the roots. It was soon that all of the misty clouds dispersed from her eyes. When she looked up, her eyes were back to smiling again once again.

She followed Jun Kai and completely ignored Mi Rong. Xue Li took the courage and scooped some herbal soup into Jun Kai's bowl. However, unlike the other times, her offer was not rejected. Jun Kai had even taken a scoop from the soup that was given to him.

His actions were so smooth that if anyone had seen it would have thought that he didn't mind Xue Li presence. Contrasting to Jun Kai's temperament, he did not disregard other's company like unusual.

On the other hand, grandma Feng's eyebrows were crossed. What was this boy doing! Her efforts to get this boy to express his own feelings would just go to waste by this rate, tut tut.

Mi Rong's eyebrows raised. She seemed to be deep in thought. However, her face was rather calm. Not much expression was coming out from her.

On the other hand, Qing Qing called her father, "Papa, when can I go to school?"

Jun Kai finally looked up and took a glance at Mi Rong by accident. Good that she was lost in her thoughts and wasn't looking at him. He was fast to look at his daughter who was sitting beside Mi Rong. "Qing Qing, I believe I have told you why, but if you want I can ask the teacher to come and teach you at home. How does that sound?"

"Papa!" Qing Qing became annoyed at her dad for misunderstanding her. "I didn't mean I want to see my teachers, but I want to see my friends! Hmph! What is wrong with you?" The little girl got up her seat and ran up the stairs into her room.

She hadn't had a fight with her father for a long time and didn't understand what her father was even doing? Was he going to end up with Aunt Xue Li? Why didn't he think about how she felt?

Jun Kai's eyes showed some regret in them. Sigh, he didn't think thoroughly.

Xue Li rested her hand onto Jun Kai's in comfort. Jun Kai indifferently looked at her hand. His mind was lost in thoughts.

On the other side, Mi Rong showed some distaste. She looked at grandma Feng as to take a leave and got up from her seat. She did not look back nor say anything but got up without thinking twice.

Why was he acting like a new father? All he had to do was talk it out to Qing Qing. Mi Rong walked with her good posture like always and went up the stairs to Qing Qing's room. It seemed the young girl had been quite lonely, sigh.

Hearing the sound from the opposite side, his eyes looked up. He watched her quietly leave the dining room. Some mixed emotions were playing in Jun Kai's eyes.

Once the two prominent presence of the table left, the mood seemed to have turned sullen.
