Pokemon: An Adventure

Monferno who was laying down on his face after loosing the last clash began to loose conscious as his eyelids got heavy and strength began to slip away from his body. He tried to keep his eyes open but couldn't muster the strength to do so. Just as he was about to give up a voice entered his ear.

"Monferno!! Are you okay??"

The voice made his conscious clear as he remember the moment he met Saad. The promise that they both made to each other began to echo in his ear as he began to feel more and more agitated.

He trained so much in the forest for this battle, fought so many wild Pokemon, endured so tiring physical exercises, just to come and loose so pathetically here in this arena?

Monferno's eyes began to turned red as he tried to muster all of his strength to stand up. His arms wobbled as he tried to push himself up. His muscles began to tighten and the fire on his tail began to lit up.

Saad who was worried for Monferno after seeing him loose in the last clash with Rampardos, began to think whether he should give up on this round and call Monferno back or not. And after thinking for a second, he opted to call him back.

He took out the Pokeball and just as he was about to call Monferno back, he stopped as he saw the fallen comrade of his began to move slightly. His eyes widened as he saw his Pokemon try to stand up with his wobbly hands. Seeing that movement from his Pokemon he put back the Pokeball as he stared at his Pokemon who was now standing again ready to take his last stance.

Rocky who was on the other side of the arena stared at the determined Pokemon who was now standing on his weak legs muttered in admiration,

"What a stubborn Pokemon….."

Monferno who was now standing on his legs turned his face towards Saad and looked straight into his eyes as he nodded.

Saad looked at the red eyes of his Pokemon and sighed as he said,

"I got it!..."

"Monferno! Use Mach Punch"

Monferno who was waiting for the orders smirked slightly as the fire on his tail began to flicker heavily. He turned his face and locked his eyes on the Rampardos in front of him and dragged his body with all the strength he got. He rushed towards the mini dinosaur with his glowing fist ready to have a go at his hard head.

"Rampardos, Use head butt again"

Rampardos who was just calmly standing there with his red eyes stared at the upcoming monkey who was running towards him with his shaking legs and humphed slightly as he lowered his head to counter the attack from the Monferno.

Saad stared at his Pokemon as he rushed towards his opponent with nearly thirty percent of his top speed. He looked as the distance between them got shorter and shorter and just as the fist and head were about to collide some thing unexpected happened.

Monferno who was charging at Rampardos slipped at the last moment as his fist missed the target and he began to fall down. But at the last moment when nearly all the onlookers thought that Monferno lost, his eyes turned bloodshot as he blindly punched wherever he could.

And under the surprised eyes of Saad and Rocky, his punch landed on the leg of the Rampardos making him loose his balance as he fell sideways with a loud thud.

And so, both the Pokemon fell down on the ground one after another causing the whole arena to turn silent.

After a few seconds went by, Rampardos who fell down earlier stood up steady again as he stared at the Monferno who was lying down with a smirk on his face as if rejoicing that he managed to hit him.

"Monferno!!",

Saad shouted as he rushed towards his Pokemon and tried to pick him up. But as he was about to do so, he stopped his extending arms and looked at the fatigued body of his partner. He worried that he will hurt Monferno if he touched him carelessly and began to closely examine the state Monferno was in.

After checking on his Pokemon, Saad sighed and put him back in his Pokeball.

"Monferno Lost! The battle is tied with the score of 2-2. Whoever wins the next round is the winner!", referee announced.

Saad looked at Rampardos who was standing calmly with a small bruise on his leg and turned towards Rocky as he began to walk back to his position. And after reaching there he took out a Pokeball and he said to Rocky,

"This is the last round and I will make sure to win this"

Rocky who was just standing there silently nodded as he replied,

"I wish you good luck"

Saad looked at the Pokeball in his hand and thought to himself <Its all in your hands now>

"Luxio! I choose you!!"
