Beedrill is a vengeful Pokemon, if a Beedrill is injured by a Pokemon, a swarm of Beedrill will often chase that Pokemon. Pokemon therefore rarely attack a Beedrill. Naturally, strong Pokemon need not be afraid of a Beedrill swarm because a strong attack with a large range defeats the whole swarm.

Alex knows this and quickly runs away with Zubat. Zubat is strong but not strong enough to survive a swarm of Beedrill.

But this move should be practiced because if you can use Haze quickly and effectively it is a great advantage in combat.
