Living in an apartment: Only children make choices.

"Wait, I just remembered something!"

Lu Ziqiao murmured in delight.

"Shouldn't we throw a bachelor party for Teacher Zeng?"

"Do you think this makes sense?"

Lin Yun rolled his eyes.

"There's absolutely no logic to this."

"Teacher Zeng proposed; at most, it's just an engagement now."

"Singles' night parties should at least be held the day before the wedding, right?"

Zhang Wei said, squinting his eyes.

"I have a gut feeling that bachelor/bachelorette parties aren't for me."

"I definitely don't want this done when I get married."

"Otherwise, if something goes wrong at the wedding, it could cost us our lives."

But intuitively, Zhang Wei's intuition was quite accurate; perhaps he had suffered a loss in his past life, and it was ingrained in his bones.

Lu Ziqiao stroked his chin and said.

"How about we throw a proposal party?"

Tang Youyou said helplessly.

"You could have just said you wanted to have a party!"

"You're not busy on set anymore, why do you look so relaxed?"

Lu Ziqiao said with a smile.

"There's an assistant director watching over it."

"Besides, I've found that the movie turned out much better without me interfering on set."

"Some actors are much better than me, a half-baked director."

"I'm just a figurehead director."

"So, let's talk about the party."

Zhang Wei raised his hand in acknowledgment.

"My suggestion is not to have a party!"

Lu Ziqiao said with a smile.

I will not take your suggestion.

"Get out of here now, thank you."

Zhang Wei shrugged and said.

"The main reason is that I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon."

"I can't attend your parties."

Lin Yun turned his head and said in surprise.

"Leaving tomorrow afternoon?"

"Haven't you finished your class yet?"

Zhang Wei put down his wine glass and said with a smile.

"There's nothing I can do, Jian Ning has a time requirement."

"However, Master Huang said he could give me online classes."

"Record a video and send it to me. If there's anything you don't understand, you can call him on video."

Hu Yifei couldn't help but complain.

"Zhang Wei, I really don't understand you idiots."

"He gave up being a good manager to go and work himself to death in combat."

"What are you looking at? I'm talking to you!"

Lu Zhanbo shrank back in fright and picked up his wine glass to cover his embarrassment.

Hu Yifei turned her head and continued speaking.

"And then there's you, giving up a perfectly good lawyer job to go into archaeology?"

Lin Yun teased from the side.

"Lawyers need to be extremely observant, and archaeologists also need to be observant."

"It's not really a crossover."

Nuolan grinned as she spoke.

"What a far-fetched explanation..."

Zhang Wei said slowly and deliberately.

"I've thought about this too."

"Actually, it's quite simple."

"Before, I worked honestly and lived honestly, entirely because I was poor."

"I have to work hard every day to make a living and strive for the future."

"But not now. Even if Jian Ning and I don't work, we can still live a relatively affluent life in Shanghai."

"In this situation, I can certainly pursue other things."

Just then, Lü Ziqiao said with a smile.

"So he chose to go tomb raiding."

Zhang Wei corrected him.

"It's archaeology!"

"And to be honest, I just went there to take a stroll and keep Jian Ning company."

“They’re the professionals; my crash course is no match for them.”

"If you let me go inside and pick out the valuables to move out, I can do that."

"Archaeology? I don't even know what kind of things belong to which dynasty."

Zhang Wei's words were simple, but they made a lot of sense.

If he now has to consider food, clothing, shelter, transportation, rent, and buying a house every day, he wouldn't even consider temporarily putting down his work to go out and do archaeology.

Even when he goes on vacation, he always makes sure to take advantage of a public holiday.

"When people are well-fed and clothed, they start to indulge in lustful desires." It is precisely because people have money that they can begin to have wild thoughts and pursue their own desires.

As I said before, who is born with the dream of buying a house, buying a car, and getting married?

Lu Ziqiao spoke up.

"In that case, how about we take this opportunity to throw a farewell party?!"

Zhang Wei said with a dark face.

"Big brother, he'll be back in a few months."

"It's like a honeymoon, not a one-way trip, so why are you (Zhao) giving us a send-off?"

Lu Ziqiao said in a serious tone.

"Zhang Wei, you don't understand."

"Sometimes, if you want something to happen, you need a glimmer of hope!"

"That's how it works..."

Lin Yun offered some words of advice.

"Alright, let's place the order then."
