Alchemy Techniques (Beginner 0/10)

First-grade pills (beginner level 0/10)

Seeing the sudden appearance of information about alchemy on the system panel, Xiao Yang understood immediately.

He hadn't tried fire control, which requires practical experience, so of course he was still a novice.

As for pharmacology, since I had read through all the first-grade pill formulas, I had memorized almost all the herbs listed.

In addition, there are pharmacological notes from a fourth-grade alchemist's alchemy manual.

His pharmacology proficiency has reached the beginner level, and his proficiency is not low.

After all, a first-grade elixir requires a considerable number of low-grade medicinal materials.

As for alchemy techniques, although he has a fourth-grade alchemist's manual, he has never practiced them, so he is only a beginner and his proficiency is still 0.

As for his proficiency in first-grade pills, it was the same; he only knew the formulas but had never actually practiced them.

This time, he was preparing to refine a kind of pill called blood-clotting powder.

This is a prescription provided by the system.

The ingredients needed for coagulation powder are very few, only four.

They are one blood-clotting flower, one blood-activating herb, one bone-growth flower, and one blood-tonifying herb.

This is the simplest first-grade elixir prescription provided by the system.

It is the easiest to refine and the most suitable for beginners to learn.

Xiao Yang naturally chose this option.

After setting up the task, he took out a sample of coagulation powder.

There just so happens that one of the tasks requires testing the medicinal properties of herbs.

Although he had already memorized the medicinal properties of these herbs.

However, that is all book knowledge.

The purpose of creating the task was to let him experience it for himself.

After thinking for a moment, Xiao Yang took out six more medicinal herbs, just enough to complete one mission.

He took a small piece of each herb and put it in his mouth.

Different medicinal materials can also be used directly, but they don't work as quickly as elixirs.

Its effects are not as good as those of elixirs.

Xiao Yang carefully sensed the effects of these medicinal herbs.

Soon, he had consumed a portion of all ten medicinal herbs.

A system notification sounded in his mind.

[Task: Test the medicinal properties of ten herbs. Reward: Pharmacology Proficiency +1. Completed. Claim reward?]

He accepted it without hesitation.

The next moment, he suddenly felt some specific information about the medicinal herbs appear in his mind.

In particular, the ten medicinal herbs he tasted.

Now he is confident that he can understand the medicinal properties of each of the ten medicinal herbs and their age by observing them once.

He could only roughly identify it, and it wasn't necessarily accurate.

Now, however, we can see the specific details of a medicinal herb.

Of course, the main focus is on these ten medicinal herbs.

As for the others, although I have some information, I cannot accurately tell how effective the medicine is.

Xiao Yang's face was full of joy, as this would be of great help to his alchemy!

After all, there are recipes for alchemy.

However, the prescription can be considered a standard.

To refine a perfect quality elixir, one needs to make subtle adjustments.

Among these, the most important are understanding pharmacology and judging the efficacy of medicinal materials.

Xiao Yang picked up a Blood Clotting Flower and examined it. Although he had plucked a petal, the Blood Clotting Flower was of good quality, and these few petals were enough to be used in medicine.

The same goes for the other medicinal herbs; the batch of herbs that Ya Fei provided were all of relatively good quality.

He was ready to try refining it.

He placed his hand on the medicine cauldron and began to infuse it with battle qi.

"boom!"

In an instant, a red flame appeared inside the medicine cauldron.

The flames were extremely violent.

If you put the medicinal herbs in now, they will most likely turn to ashes.

He began to convert some of his battle qi into wood-attribute battle qi.

If you're an ordinary alchemist, this step will take some time to try.

After all, they only had a trace of wood-attribute battle qi in their bodies.

However, it was incredibly easy for Xiao Yang to switch.

The next moment, he injected a wisp of wood-attribute battle qi into the cauldron.

In an instant, the raging flames calmed down considerably.

This is why alchemists need to have a trace of wood element.

It's not just about experiencing the medicinal properties of the herbs, but also about making the flames more peaceful.

Otherwise, with only the fire attribute, it would be difficult to calm the raging flames.

Xiao Yang did not immediately throw in the medicinal herbs.

He knew that at the beginning, his skill in controlling the fire was low, and it was easy to burn the medicinal herbs.

So he began to try reducing the amount of battle qi he was inputting and turning down the flames.

He discovered it very quickly.

The size of the flame is not only related to the amount of battle qi input, but also to the proportion of wood-attribute battle qi.

He began trying to control the flame temperature.

It keeps adjusting the settings, sometimes raising them and sometimes lowering them.

After practicing for a while, he found that the fire control function on the system panel had become a beginner's skill.

However, the proficiency level is still 0.

He turned down the flame, picked up a blood-clotting flower, and carefully dropped it into the cauldron through the opening in the lid.

Once the Blood Clotting Flower comes into contact with the flame, it begins to slowly lose moisture and wither.

Extracting the blood-clotting flower is very simple; it is just a matter of refining it into a medicinal powder.

He watched the blood clots slowly shrink inside the furnace, without adjusting the temperature of the flames.

Although the temperature is not high enough right now, he is afraid that if he accidentally turns it up, he will burn the blood-clotting grass to ashes.

Soon, the blood-clotting herb turned into a pile of powder.

It worked!

Xiao Yang was very lucky; he succeeded in refining medicinal herbs on his first try.

The main reason is that although the temperature of the flame was slightly low, it was just right for refining the Blood Clotting Flower.

After carefully taking out the powder from the Blood Clotting Flower and setting it aside for later use, Xiao Yang prepared to begin refining the Blood-Activating Grass.

Throughout this time, his fighting spirit never ceased, maintaining the stability of the flames.

The extraction temperature required for the Blood-Activating Herb is even higher than that for the Blood-Coagulating Flower.

He began to carefully channel his fire-attribute fighting spirit.

When he felt it was about time, he threw the blood-activating herb into it.

This time, Xiao Yang wasn't so lucky.

The blood-activating herb was burned directly.

Black residue fell from below the medicine cauldron.

Undeterred, Xiao Yang took out another Blood-Activating Grass and carefully began adjusting the flame temperature.

……

Soon, time passed, and Xiao Yang had extracted a total of ten portions of the blood-clotting powder.

That is, forty plants.

However, only fifteen medicinal herbs were successfully extracted.

Fortunately, while refining the tenth medicinal herb, he completed a fire control proficiency task.
