[3. Not long ago, a human in the arena coveted the power of the Stone Mask and transformed into a vampire. Therefore, before the test began, there was already a vampire undergoing transformation in the arena. Please be careful!]

After reading this long list of rules...

Nanase Tsubasa breathed a sigh of relief and murmured softly:

"That's great... Even if I don't beat the top four in this exam, I won't lose any lives, right?"

"Don't get too excited, Nanase-san."

Katsuragi Kohei touched his bald head and reminded him in a heavy tone:

"As a price... even if we die in this environment, we cannot trigger the protection mechanism to escape. We will respawn on the spot in three seconds..."

"If we're not careful, we could really be doomed here!"

As he spoke, Katsuragi Kohei glanced at Morishita Ai and Karuizawa Megumi, who were standing not far away with slightly stiff postures, and couldn't help but sigh:

"Ah... now it seems that letting Kamuro and Sakayanagi go together was actually the right decision."

"Luckily, the enhanced gun I bought before can be retrieved through the Black Ball Watch, otherwise, relying solely on Ayanokouji, I'm afraid it would have been a long shot..."

"Vampire... Stone Mask?"

Hirata Yosuke murmured to himself, subconsciously turning his gaze toward Ayanokoji.

Kiyotaka Ayanokouji pursed his lips, deep in thought.

The parasitic beast on his right hand suddenly spoke:

"Ayanokouji, I noticed many masks embedded in the wall around us. Are those what you're looking for?"

Upon hearing this, Nanase Tsubasa and the others quickly turned to look at the stone wall beside them.

Sure enough, they found that the walls were covered with a dense array of strange stone masks.

Beneath these masks, one can vaguely see a layer of grayish-white stone figurines.

Recalling the rules, Nanase Tsubasa quickly backed away, afraid of accidentally touching them.

At that moment, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji made his move.

He extended the ripples along the veins and attached them to the parasite's tentacles.

Then, let the tentacles remove a mask from the nearby wall.

The parasite extended its sharp blade and held its mask in the air for a moment.

Seeing that the humanoid stone statue beneath the mask showed no signs of waking up, he handed the mask back to Ayanokouji.

Looking at the stone mask in Ayanokouji Kiyotaka's hand, Amakura Asako suddenly realized:

"It seems... that because parasites aren't defined as human, they perfectly circumvent the vampire awakening mechanism?"

Ayanokouji nodded, offering no further explanation.

He simply took out the [World Compendium] that Su Wei had previously lent him from his pocket and directly scanned the mask in his hand.

"drop--"

【Stone Demon Mask】

[Details: A creation of Kars, the genius Pillar Man (of the Dark Clan). Its initial purpose was to overcome the race's weakness of fearing sunlight and help its people evolve into ultimate life forms.]

[Initially, these flawed products could only be used to stimulate the human brain, turning humans into vampires to serve as their servants or efficient food. Even so, the vampires transformed from humans still possessed the regenerative abilities and superhuman strength of vampires in the broad sense, easily overwhelming ordinary humans.]

[If the 'Aja Red Stone' is embedded in a specially crafted stone face and activated by intense light, the Pillar Man wearing it can evolve into an immortal ultimate life form.]

[How to use: When the mask comes into contact with human blood, several bone spurs will pop out from the back of the mask. The bone spurs precisely pierce the wearer's brain, stimulating their potential and initiating the vampire transformation.]

[Value: Each mask will be sold for 4 S-points after the exam. If handed over to the Mysterious Merchant, it can be directly exchanged for 1000 item points.]

"Four S points?!"

Even Morishita Ai's usually expressionless face showed a hint of surprise at this moment:

"So... this one mask is enough for me to accumulate enough points to redeem the enhanced outfit?"

Baoquan and Chen's eyes also gleamed:

"This place is full of Stone Demon Masks, there are at least dozens! Enough for each of us to easily collect dozens of S points!"

"With these scores, forget about the enhanced armor, getting all the high-level equipment will be a piece of cake!"

"It's not that simple."

At this moment, Yagami Takuya poured cold water on the idea, shaking his head and analyzing:

"First of all, our only way out right now is with Ayanokouji-senpai. We can only get the Stone Mask safely by using his parasite. If anyone else tries to get it, it will easily awaken the vampire and cause the exam to start immediately."

"Secondly... we probably can't just sit here idly and wait until we have a lot of Stone Masks before pursuing the maximum benefit after the exam."

Yagami Takuya pointed to the stone statues beneath the masks, his expression grave:

"The surrounding area is full of stone demon masks, which means that the walls... are filled with sleeping vampires! Once the exam is forcibly started..."

"Faced with hundreds or thousands of vampires, most of us don't even have enhanced suits, let alone the weapons and equipment provided by the black ball. Even if Ayanokouji-senpai is strong, he probably won't have time to take care of all of us."

"Yagami is right."
