In reality, to the Pillar Men and vampires who are considered hostile targets, she is no different from a wisp of air.

It was because of the black ball notification sound that just rang out!

Strei stood still, his brow furrowed.

"The Pillar Men... could they be the relief sculpture in the main hall that absorbed blood?"

"But what did that voice mean by 'test'...?"

The longer a person lives, the more they know how to respect the unknown.

Although nowadays, as a vampire, one is virtually immortal as long as one is not exposed to sunlight.

But what if, as Speedwagon fears, the so-called "pillars" are actually terrifying beings older than vampires, or even feeding on them?

With this thought in mind, the cautious-by-natured Stray decided to change his plans.

We must first find Speedwagon and interrogate him to find out what other secrets his exploration team has discovered in this ruin, besides what's on the surface!

With a gust of wind, Stray vanished in a blur.

Chihiro Hakubo hid in the shadows and waited for several minutes.

Once she was sure the other party had no intention of turning back, she slid to the ground as if all her strength had been drained and let out a long sigh of relief.

'That was close...'

She patted her chest.

She wasn't sure whether the strange man hadn't noticed her because it was too dark, or whether he was a monster who simply didn't care about a nobody like her.

But in any case, you should always consider the worst-case scenario!

Therefore, Chihiro Shirami decisively chose to run away in the opposite direction from where Stray had left.

then.

As expected, Chihiro Shiraha, who was running wildly along the passage, plunged headlong into the main hall of the ruins where Stray had originally been.

The main hall was empty.

Chihiro Shirami cautiously looked around.

She happened to witness—

On the massive stone wall in the center of the main hall, among the four male reliefs carved in different poses, one of them suddenly shattered with a "crack"!

Immediately afterwards, the stone skin peeled off at a speed visible to the naked eye, and the man's skin, which was originally as lifeless as stone, quickly came to life the moment it came into contact with the air.

"Crack... Boom!"

The muscular man, his body bulging with muscles, twisted his neck and stepped out from the stone wall!

Chihiro Shiraha felt a chill run down her spine and quickly fell silent, blending herself into the shadows at the entrance.

Santana, who awoke from the stone wall, did not notice Chihiro Shiraha hiding in the corner.

But as a Pillar Man, he heard everything that was happening in the entire ruin the moment he awoke.

Ayanokouji and the others gathered together, collecting the Stone Mask;

Stray is searching for Speedwagon in the tunnel...

Santana ignored these small, weak creatures.

Instead, he turned his head and looked at the stone demon masks hanging on the surrounding walls, and the humanoid stone statues covered by the masks.

petrochemicals...

This is a possibility unique to Pillar Men, possessed in order to avoid sunlight.

How could a lowly creature like a vampire, who is merely worthy of being our food, possibly possess such power?

He turned his head again and looked at the three bas-reliefs sleeping on the stone pillar behind him.

Lord Kaz, Lord Wamuu, Lord Esdis...

And why are they here?

Since we did not perceive Lord Kars' will from it.

Santana hesitated for a moment, then walked to the nearest stone statue.

He reached out and ripped off the stone mask, pulling the petrified vampire below out like a radish.

Then, he carried the still bewildered vampire to Kaz's stone sculpture and tried to feed it.

Watching it gradually being devoured by Kaz.

"Is Lord Kars's delayed response due to lack of food and depleted energy...?"

Santana breathed a sigh of relief and turned to look at the surrounding stone sculptures:

"It's alright, Lord Kaz. One isn't enough, there are plenty more here."

Meanwhile, Chihiro Shiraha was hiding in the shadows.

My legs were trembling involuntarily, and I instinctively wanted to back away.
