Mo Fan stood aside, silently watching this scene.

After a moment, he nodded.

"That makes sense."

Just four words.

There were no overwhelming praises like Fang Xu's, nor any unnecessary embellishments.

But Murong Jiao's eyes lit up as if those four words had triggered something.

She turned her head sharply, staring wide-eyed at Mo Fan.

"What—what did you just say? Say it again?"

Mo Fan was taken aback, then repeated, "That makes sense?"

Murong Jiao took a deep breath.

Then--

"Did you hear that, little sister!" She jumped to Murong Sha's side, grabbed Murong Sha's arm, and shook it hard. "He said I was right! He admitted it! He admitted my analysis was correct!"

Murong Sha was shaken by her and felt helpless. She turned slightly to the side to regain her balance.

He said helplessly:

"Yes, I heard you."

"Do you know what this means!" Murong Jiao's voice rose several decibels. "It means my strategic vision has been recognized by professionals—"

"When did he become a professional?"

Murong Sha asked a question indifferently.

Murong Jiao choked for a moment, but quickly regained her composure and said, "If I say he is, then he is!"

Mo Fan: "......"

Fang Xu watched this scene from the side, his mouth slightly open, his face full of complicated emotions.

He just spent so long flattering me, with great emotion and a variety of techniques.

As a result, Mo Fan simply said four words: "That makes sense."

The effect completely crushed his entire set of flattery, leaving not a trace.

Fang Xu silently shut his mouth.

A feeling of loss suddenly welled up in his heart.

However, he quickly regained his smile.

Murong Sha waited until her sister finished being excited before bringing the topic back on track.

"Therefore, our current strategy is to focus on exploration and not to consume too much of our stats by farming pets."

"If you come across a pet area along the way, you can try a few matches to test the waters. But don't get carried away or fight to the death."

"Conserve our strength and prioritize discovering the deeper secrets of this realm."

Her gaze swept over everyone present.

Mo Fan nodded slightly.

This line of thinking coincided with his own ideas.

This secret realm is far larger than the Ancient Cocoa Tree Secret Realm, and its gameplay and resources are significantly richer. Focusing all your energy on farming rare pets from the start would undoubtedly be short-sighted.

The safest approach is to first get a general understanding of the entire secret realm, and then formulate a subsequent plan based on the information.

Of course, we can't be too absolute, especially when it comes to weaker players.

Instead of gambling on other things, you might get eliminated from the secret realm by other players during the process.

In that case, it would indeed be more practical to get a rare pet.

Chapter 160 Locke's Bumper Cards

The four walked for a while longer.

Just when Mo Fan thought that what followed was just a long exploration, Murong Jiao suddenly stopped and cleared her throat.

"Cough cough."

She turned around, put her hands behind her back, and her expression clearly showed that she had been holding back for a long time and was finally going to get down to business.

"There's one more thing I need to tell you."

She held up one finger and tapped it back and forth between Mo Fan and Fang Xu.

"Actually, we discovered a special little game on our way here."

Fang Xu's eyes lit up: "What? A special little game!"

Murong Jiao nodded, then looked at Mo Fan with a hint of smugness in her voice.

"That's why we're asking you to be our helper."

Mo Fan asked, "What kind of special mini-game?"

Murong Jiao put her hands on her hips and curled her lips into a smile.

"You'll see when you get there."

They kept the secret in suspense with a perfectly justified air.

Fang Xu, standing to the side, wrung his hands anxiously: "Big Sister, stop keeping me in suspense—"

"Shut up and follow me."

Murong Jiao left after saying that. Fang Xu immediately shut up and jogged after her.

Mo Fan and Murong Sha exchanged a glance.

Murong Sha shook her head slightly, her meaning clear—don't ask her, no one can stop her sister from keeping it a secret.

We walked for about ten more minutes.

Murong Jiao led the group through a maze of winding paths, and finally stopped in front of a cliff covered with vines.

From the outside, it looks like an ordinary rock wall, with layers upon layers of dense vines hanging down, and waist-high wild grass growing underneath.

Unless you're specifically looking for it, you wouldn't notice anything special about this location.

Murong Jiao reached out and parted a clump of vines.

Behind the vines was a cave.

The opening was small, just big enough for an adult to bend over and pass through.

Fang Xu peeked inside, but it was pitch black and he couldn't see anything.

"Inside here—"

Murong Jiao didn't answer, and bent down and crawled inside.

The other three followed them in.

The cave was more spacious than I had imagined.

After passing through a short passageway, the view suddenly opened up—it turned out to be a natural stone chamber, with light filtering through several cracks in the ceiling, creating a play of light and shadow in the chamber.

And in the very center of the stone chamber.

A card table was prominently displayed.

The tabletop was a dark blue stone slab, its surface engraved with intricate patterns, emitting a faint magical glow. Several stone stools of the same material were placed around the table.

It's as if someone specially set up a card room in this cave.

Fang Xu's expression changed from curiosity to confusion, and then from confusion to bewilderment.

"What...what's going on here? Who set up a card table in this cave?"

Before he could finish speaking, a notification popped up on the panel.

[Rock Bumper Card Game]

【Game Rules:】

[This challenge can be played solo or in a team. Each player will receive 24 cards.]

Players can choose 1-3 of their own pets to participate. The selected pets' attributes will be converted into attribute cards, with three cards for each attribute. The remaining cards will be randomly assigned.

[Note: Randomly assigned cards will not contain attribute cards that match the attribute of your pet.]

[Attribute Card Rules: Each attribute card has an element that it counters and an element that it is countered by. If the opponent plays two cards of the same attribute, you must play three cards of the same attribute, or two cards of the element that counters yours, to respond.]

[Special Rule: Electric cards are wild cards and can be combined with any other attribute.]

This game consists of five levels. In single-player mode, your opponent also has 24 cards. In multiplayer mode, the number of cards your opponent has is adjusted based on the number of players on your team.

Each player has only one chance to play the game.

The final reward is calculated as a total of points, which can be redeemed for rewards in the points shop.

(PS: The game is located in the pet training room, opposite the gashapon machine.)

The rules contain a significant amount of information.

After reading it, Fang Xu's expression could be described in four words—utterly bewildered.

"What does this mean? Attribute cards? Counter? Transformation? Three against two, two against two? I recognize all the individual words, but I just can't understand them when they're put together?"

Mo Fan ignored him, his gaze fixed on the panel, quickly reviewing the rules in his mind.

He quickly figured out the logic behind it.

Each player receives 24 cards.

If you choose one pet to participate, that pet's attributes will be converted into three corresponding attribute cards. The remaining 21 cards are random.

Choose two pets, which means you get six attribute cards, and 18 cards are randomized.

Choose three, nine attribute cards, and 15 random cards.
