Is the closed beta test of King of Loque over? The official release is here!

As for that rusty brass lock—

Yan Liang gently touched it, and the copper lock clicked off and fell to the ground.

Upon seeing this, Yan Liang's breathing became more rapid.

It really is a treasure chest that can be opened.

He gripped the edge of the box lid with both hands.

"Let me see what good stuff is inside..."

As he spoke, he suddenly lifted the lid of the box.

next moment--

click!

A crisp click of a mechanism came from inside the treasure chest.

The excitement on Yan Liang's face hadn't even fully blossomed before it froze instantly.

Suddenly, a thick spring, compressed to its maximum, popped out from inside the box.

At the very front of the spring was a red boxing glove, about the size of an adult's head.

The gauntlets are extremely fast.

Yan Liang didn't even have time to make any dodging movements.

boom!

A dull thud was heard.

The red boxing gloves slammed solidly into Yan Liang's face.

Yan Liang's entire face was twisted and deformed by that punch.

His head snapped back, his feet left the ground, and he flew backward as if he had been struck head-on by a charging bull.

boom!

His back slammed heavily onto the ground.

"Uh-"

Yan Liang covered his face and let out a painful scream.

But this is not the end.

After the mechanical gauntlets retracted back into the box, a wisp of grayish-green gas slowly drifted out of the treasure chest again.

The gas appears thin, but it diffuses at an astonishing speed.

Before Yan Liang could even get up from the ground, the grayish-green gas seemed to come alive, rushing straight into his body and flowing into his mouth and nose.

"Well......"

Yan Liang had just managed to prop himself up halfway when he collapsed again.

"Holy crap, what the hell is that?"

Yan Liang lay on the ground, groaning in pain.

Mo Fan and Zhuang Xiao quickly walked back.

At this moment, Yan Liang was still lying on the ground, his hands tightly covering his nose, his body curled up in a ball.

"Yan Liang, are you alright?" Zhuang Xiao asked.

Do I look like I'm alright?

Yan Liang replied in a muffled voice.

That punch came too suddenly.

He was completely unprepared and took the hit squarely in the face. Even now, his head is still buzzing, and he feels a piercing pain in the bridge of his nose.

He lay on the ground for a while before using his hands to support himself and struggling to get up.

Bright red blood flowed down his nostrils.

Yan Liang reached out and wiped his hand, seeing the bloodstains on the back of his hand; his expression immediately turned even more grim.

"Oh shit......"

He gritted his teeth and cursed.

Who would have thought that a treasure chest that looks like it contains rewards would actually hide such a treacherous mechanism?

Chapter 251 It should be.

First came a punch with a boxing glove.

Then came another burst of grayish-green gas, the nature of which was unknown.

Yan Liang was about to continue complaining.

But just then—

His movements suddenly froze.

The personal panel in front of me had popped up automatically at some point, and a gray-green icon was slowly flashing in the status bar.

"and many more!"

Yan Liang's eyes widened instantly.

"What is this thing?"

His voice suddenly rose several decibels, and he even temporarily forgot about the pain in his nose.

Mo Fan and Zhuang Xiao looked over at the same time.

Suddenly, a negative status that Yan Liang had never seen before appeared in his status bar.

[Poisonous Miasma Buff]

[Effect: Reduces the maximum HP of all your pets by 10%.]

[Duration: Until you leave the current instance.]

After reading the introduction, Yan Liang was completely stunned.

"All pets' maximum health points will be reduced by 10%?"

"Will this continue until we leave the secret realm?"

He looked at it again from beginning to end, as if he couldn't believe it.

However, the information on the panel did not change as a result.

Ten percent of maximum health doesn't seem particularly outrageous.

But this is a little-known secret realm where the situation is unknown.

No one knows what dangers they will encounter next.

In such places, a pet's maximum health is reduced by 10%, which could very well be the key to victory or defeat.

more importantly--

It wasn't just one pet that was affected.

Rather, it refers to all the pets he owns.

"That grayish-green gas was poisonous!"

Yan Liang hurriedly showed the status on the panel to the two of them.

"All my pets' maximum health has been reduced by 10%!"

Zhuang Xiao glanced at it and frowned.

"Continue until you leave the secret realm..."

This means that Yan Liang will have to maintain this negative state throughout the upcoming exploration.

Mo Fan also clearly saw the effect of the buff.

"This treasure chest even has a trap?"

His gaze fell on the open wooden box beside him, and his expression darkened slightly.

At the same time, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

If Yan Liang hadn't made that move—

So the person who was hit by the mechanical gauntlets and had their pet's maximum health reduced by the poisonous miasma is very likely Zhuang Xiao.

From this perspective, Yan Liang actually shielded Zhuang Xiao from a disaster.

of course.

He stole all of this himself.

Mo Fan didn't say anything more, but instead turned his gaze back to the inside of the treasure chest.

After the mechanical gauntlets retracted, the box lid was completely open.

The grayish-green gas had completely dissipated.

Only then can it be clearly seen that the treasure chest is not empty.

At the bottom of the box, there was a layer of golden stuff.

Rock Bay.

The rock biscuits were stacked on top of each other, gleaming brilliantly in the pale golden light surrounding them.

Zhuang Xiao noticed it too.

"There are also rewards inside."

Mo Fan did not approach immediately.

He stood there for a moment, observing the scene, and then used his magic to briefly sense the contents of the chest. After confirming that there were no other abnormalities inside, he walked over to the chest and squatted down.
