However, judging from the current logic, there is a high possibility that Gu Tinglan is Guanyin.
Regardless of whether Gu Tinglan is Guanyin or not, the fact remains that Zhang Jiao attacked Gu Tinglan.
From the surface, Lin Yiguang couldn't analyze much useful information from her move.
But Lin Yi thinks in reverse.
I will do what the enemy doesn't want me to do!
As long as you don't follow the enemy's wishes, you'll naturally find a way to break the deadlock.
Lin Yi believed that Zhang Jiao definitely didn't know about his demon-slaying manual, otherwise she wouldn't have come to him to show off her skills.
This isn't showing off your skills, this is feeding kills.
However, whether she appeared or not, the outcome would be the same when she made a move against Gu Tinglan.
Because every action leaves a trace, Lin Yi will naturally follow these clues and keep investigating until he finds her.
Now, Lin Yi pretended not to notice and casually said, "Guanyin has changed her name to Guanyin today, so I came to find you to find some clues."
What I really want to know is the location of this Guanyin. Is she experiencing trials on earth like you, or is she in heaven?
Zhang Jiao, quick-witted as lightning, replied, "I don't know."
If she were not Guanyin, she naturally wouldn't know where Guanyin Bodhisattva was.
That makes sense.
Lin Yi nodded and didn't press the matter further, seemingly letting the matter drop.
Before leaving, he reassured them, "The situation is still tense. In order not to disrupt our plans, you will have to stay here for a while longer."
I will compensate you after the war ends.
After saying that, he left.
Seeing Lin Yi disappear, Zhang Jiao finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Lin Yi was very perceptive and vigilant, but in the end, she was still one step ahead.
If Lin Yi fails to meet Gu Tinglan in time, Gu Tinglan will be summoned back to the celestial realm by Buddha.
Because immortals can travel from the underworld to the celestial realm, and from the human world to the underworld, but they cannot return directly from the underworld to the human world.
Since Gu Tinglan has become a Bodhisattva, she can only return to the celestial realm for now.
However, she and Lin Yi have not yet overcome the tribulation of love, which means that although she has become a Bodhisattva, her spiritual heart is not yet perfect, and the karmic ties between her and Lin Yi have not yet ended.
This kind of Bodhisattva with inner flaws is her best prey.
Once Gu Tinglan arrives in the Immortal Realm, the demonic seed lurking within her will activate. At that time, she can replace Gu Tinglan without anyone noticing, and use Gu Tinglan as a starting point to continuously establish herself within the Buddhist community.
Now that the position of the Ziwei Emperor is vacant, the Buddhist sect has been envious of the Taoist sect for many years. Now that they have this opportunity, it is impossible for them not to keep their eyes on this position.
However, the Buddhist community could not find a suitable candidate to fill the position at the moment.
But at this time, Gu Tinglan suddenly appeared, and the Buddhist sect will definitely do its best to help Gu Tinglan take this position.
It can be said that Zhang Jiao had been planning for a long time, all to lay the groundwork for this step. Therefore, Gu Tinglan's return to the Immortal Realm in an imperfect state was the most crucial link.
Lin Yi is the only variable; once Lin Yi is dealt with, things will be basically settled.
Zhang Jiao smiled slightly, withdrew her supernatural powers, and returned to Wu Yun's body.
Little did they know, Lin Yi had already swiftly opened the gates to the underworld and sent a paper doll inside.
Previously, after he crossed over to another realm, the connection between his clones became sluggish, like a network lag. Ultimately, it was because his strength was insufficient.
Now that he controls a large number of underworld deities and his own strength has reached a new level, it is no longer difficult for him to create clones and cross realms.
Of course, the clone's strength and reaction speed will indeed be affected. For example, in the human world, the clone can exert three-tenths of Lin Yi's strength without considering the strength of his physical body.
In the underworld, at most one-tenth remains.
However, Lin Yi didn't go to the underworld to fight; he only went to see Gu Tinglan. So, whether he was strong or weak was naturally unimportant.
Perhaps it was fate, but part of Zhang Jiao's original plan was to send Lin Yi to the Immortal Realm.
While using Lin Yi as a pawn, they also granted him the ability to enter the underworld at any time.
Lin Yi is now using this ability to sabotage Zhang Jiao's plans.
The gates of the underworld opened, and Lin Yi slipped in silently.
Having learned from his first experience, Lin Yi cast a hidden supernatural power on himself before even entering the gates this time. He wielded more power than any emperor in the underworld, so he easily passed through the gates of hell, which were not suppressed by any emperor.
The Demon-Slaying Manual revealed the locations of Lan Yu and Jueying; both were still unconscious, and their positions remained unchanged.
Lin Yi headed straight for the marked spot without alerting anyone.
At this moment, Gu Tinglan was discussing Buddhist teachings with Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
At their level, discussing philosophy is still a very meaningful thing.
Only by discussing the Dao with people at the same level can one's cultivation be considered meaningful. When people reach the same level, their perspectives on the world may differ, but they all see things at the same level.
If you discuss this with someone of a lower level, then it's called preaching or spreading the doctrine, not discussing the doctrine itself.
The two Buddhist bodhisattvas, who rarely meet, each spoke of their own profound teachings and insights. The area around the Abyss of Exile was bathed in brilliant Buddhist light, and much of the resentment dissipated.
Their path to enlightenment must not be overheard by others, so Lan Yu and Jueying fainted.
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva spoke of his great path, vowing not to become a Buddha until hell is emptied; this was his grand vow.
In fact, this grand ambition was not only made for the souls of the dead in the underworld, but also had a certain ulterior motive.
If he were to become a Buddha, he would have to return to the Buddha's command and obey his orders. At that time, who knows how many conflicts he would be drawn into.
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is compassionate and does not like to fight with others.
It would be better to hide in the underworld and diligently cultivate one's Buddhist practice.
We are doing things to save all living beings, but hell can never be empty.
As long as injustice exists in the world, people will experience suffering and resentment.
As long as the resentment of sentient beings persists, hell will never be empty.
In other words, if all sentient beings were free from resentment, then at that time, they could naturally attain Buddhahood in peace.
The underworld is a good place, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva does not want to leave.
The philosophy he shared with Gu Tinglan was precisely this: to guard one's own little world as a pure land and to act within one's means.
Protect the area within your means and safeguard the pure land.
It's like drawing a circle; those who enter this circle will receive the blessings of the Bodhisattva.
He can't control anything outside of this circle.
There are no requirements to join the circle; it's fate that brings you in.
This is also a way of cultivating the Great Way of Cause and Effect: plant good causes and reap good results; plant bad causes and reap bad results.
Over the years, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva has been like someone playing a farming game, constantly sowing good seeds and reaping good fruits.
The greatest act of kindness was thanks to Lin Yi.
He helped Lin Yi once, but he doesn't know how much he will gain in return.
Now, another promising talent has arrived.
He planted a seed of kindness in Gu Tinglan, and he will probably receive a good return in return.
The teachings of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva were naturally very inspiring to Gu Tinglan.
She strongly agrees with the idea of keeping one's mind to oneself and acting within one's capabilities.
Hold onto your compassion, but do everything within your means.
She then spoke of her own great principles.
Unlike Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, who guards a pure land, her path is to listen to the suffering of people and actively guide them to enlightenment.
The difference between the two is that one waits for others to enter the industry, while the other goes out to find work on his own.
It was difficult to say who was better or worse at the moment, so the two did not engage in any debate.
This discussion was a success, with both host and guests enjoying themselves.
However, after the event ended, Gu Tinglan received a decree from Buddha.
Now that the training is complete, it's time to return to the Immortal Realm to cultivate.
Gu Tinglan had also anticipated this outcome. She became a deity in the underworld, so naturally she could no longer travel freely like Lin Yi.
Lin Yi is certainly different from ordinary immortals and gods.
Other deities who pass through the gates of hell can only return to the celestial realm.
Lin Yi, however, could return once he opened the gates of hell.
Gu Tinglan had no choice; fate was the only way out.
Moreover, she had no reason not to return to the celestial realm. After her success, the Buddhist sect would pay even more attention to her, and it wouldn't be good for her to stay in the mortal world forever.
Zhang Jiao had considered everything.
At this moment, Gu Tinglan suddenly felt a sense of melancholy.
Lin Yi was on her mind.
After this parting, I don't know when we'll meet again.
If we meet again, we might not be friends, but enemies.
Their love tribulations were not yet over, yet they were to part ways; this was the death script Zhang Jiao had prepared for Gu Tinglan.
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva vaguely felt that Gu Tinglan's departure might be somewhat dangerous, but he didn't know how to break the deadlock, so he could only let nature take its course.
Besides, it was Buddha himself who issued the decree summoning Gu Tinglan, so he couldn't refuse.
Upon receiving the imperial decree, Gu Tinglan, though feeling conflicted, still chose to obey the order.
Of course, before leaving, he had to say goodbye to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva before waking up Jueying and Lanyu.
"I know you listened to Lin Yi and wanted to kill me, but you still showed some mercy, so I won't kill you now."
