"That's all. Do you have any other questions?"
"Uh, no, that's all! I'll take my leave now."
Ezekiel fled as if escaping, which Komi found amusing.
A gust of wind rustled the storybook on the table, flipping through the seemingly harmless pages, and finally stopping at the pages where Komi arranged the original texts. These were things that even if Komi tried to explain them, Ezekiel would be furious and chop off his head.
After all, this Ryan, with his shy and timid yet arrogant demeanor denying his desire to become a Warmaster, is a strange creature that even the demon Slaanesh couldn't draw.
"Should we tell them where Ryan is?" Koji tapped the table, feeling it was too early. These Primarchs were the gunpowder that would set off chaos in the galaxy. As soon as one appeared, the rest of the Primarchs would come out as soon as they smelled it.
After closing the "Collection of Stories Against Heaven" and putting it into the Holy Box, Koji calculated how many days' journey they still had to travel to reach the coordinates given by the fart spirits. If these fart spirits kept their promise, Koji would be happy to bring them into the Eye of the Farthest Fortress and then let them pass through the net tunnel gate located in the center of the fortress to poke Abaddon's asshole.
"Abaddon...are you ready?"
Chapter 576: The Fart Who Embraces a New Life
Upon reaching the location given by the fart spirits, Komi saw more than a dozen asteroids floating in the void. These things were the fart spirits' space transportation vehicles. They looked ordinary, but when you got close to the asteroids, many cannons would emerge from their cratered surfaces.
Ezekiel had encountered the ancients and orcs before, so he remained silent, directing the Dark Angels' strike cruisers and Spyr to protect the Exterminator in the center. This frigate lacked the ability to protect itself from attacks, and the shortage of personnel and equipment was extremely fatal. Some deck areas were even temporarily abandoned due to lack of maintenance.
Komi could certainly draw manpower from Fris's army, but he really didn't want to trust the Child family anymore. He would rather go through the trouble of recruiting death row inmates himself than let the Child family infiltrate his legion.
"What are you going to do next?" Ezekiel and Spyr were both curious about this question, and Komi simply answered.
"Of course we'll go in in the shuttle. Do you two want to chat with me and the fart devils?"
"Just operating a shuttle?" Ezekiel was shocked by Komi's audacity. If the orcs chose to betray Komi, he would be utterly annihilated.
"Why don't we take the Thunderhawk over? At least its armor is thicker."
I appreciate your kindness.
Komi's reply made Ezekiel realize that he couldn't change Komi's mind, so he said, "Then at least let me go with you to meet the orcs. I can open the Gate of Infinity and send us back."
“That’s fine, but you can come alone. If there are too many people, the bastards will be hesitant. Oh, and Ezekiel, you’d better cooperate with my performance from now on, and don’t let these bastards notice anything unusual.”
Ezekiel nodded and then shook his head. He really didn't understand why Gu Jian cared so much about the orcs' farts. Those poor little creatures didn't even deserve to be counted in their kill count, just like people don't care how many ants they step on.
Finally, the shuttle took Komi and Ezekiel closer to those asteroids. Once they were within 800 kilometers, the shuttle was immediately captured by the Fargo's magnetic device and flew toward a crater. Then the Fargo opened a disguised door and invited Komi to enter.
Ezekiel remained vigilant, using his psychic powers to scan the asteroid's structure and pinpoint the most threatening weapons in order to devise countermeasures.
Koji acted as if he were back in his hometown, and he even contacted the fart spirit's communication channel when the shuttle landed.
The shuttle was parked on a makeshift platform, surrounded by busy parasites who moved around in the cramped corners, carrying nails and hammers to patch up what they could.
Their small, sinister gazes weren't fixed on the shuttle, but rather on their work, which was quite unusual for the disorganized and undisciplined orcs. Even Ezekiel, who disdained the fart spirits, glanced at them a couple more times.
“These farts… are they a strange breed? Is it a new one?” Ezekiel murmured. He had a feeling that these overly disciplined farts would become another great enemy of the human empire. This time, coming with Komi was the right choice. He had to analyze the behavioral logic of these farts and then write a tactical manual for them.
However, Ezekiel was completely unaware that the culprit who led these bastards to break free from orcish oppression and choose to forge a new Waaagh path was standing right beside him.
As soon as the shuttle opened, Komi heard Lusni's lewd voice.
"Welcome! Welcome! You're not the first shrimp to approach us alive, nor will you be the last!"
Lusni rubbed his hands together, hunched over, and trotted over with a sly smile on his face.
Koji looked Lusni up and down and found that the fart-spirit's attire was quite impressive. He was wearing a tight-fitting coat made of Skug leather, a peaked cap in the style of an Imperial commissar, and a red armband on his arm decorated with a rusty red fart-spirit metallic face, which seemed to be a tribute to the fart-spirit master.
The thugs beside Lusni were no ordinary men either. They wore uniform military attire and carried weapons, each with a belt capable of holding dozens of throwing knives. Black masks and dark green goggles concealed their faces, making these thugs appear elite and fierce.
Although Ezekiel was wearing a helmet, Komi could still sense his existential unease.
Komi cleared his throat and, adopting the arrogant demeanor common among imperial officials, said to Lusni, "Alien, this conversation was merely a reluctant act forced by circumstances. Don't interpret the Empire's choice as leniency."
Lusni chuckled, completely ignoring Komi's threat. In his eyes, this was Agent 005 hiding his identity under the watchful eye of the big canned food.
"Hehehe... You shrimps just love to talk the talk! You never change your tiny brains based on the changing situation. We've embraced emergency opening-up policy in order to better Waaagh. You shrimps should learn from us, otherwise how can you better Waaagh the Emperor?"
crunch...
Upon hearing the sound of Ezekiel's fist clenching, Koji quickly interrupted Lusni's incessant chatter. He gave a cold shout, drawing curious glances from the other idiots who were focused on their work.
"Stop talking nonsense, alien! Take me to your leader. You're not qualified to talk to me!"
Lusny pursed his lips, inwardly marveling at Agent 005's acting skills. If he were in that position, he could be chatting away with the other person in under five seconds.
"Then come with me."
As soon as Lusni turned around, the elite Pssies surrounded Gujian and Ezekiel, standing on either side of them. If either of them showed the slightest abnormality, their weapons would immediately open fire. No one could be sure how much damage these weapons would do to Ezekiel.
Orc weapons are like the Howler shotguns of Komi; you might think they kill enemies based on the performance of the weapon itself, but actually, those bullets carry some incomprehensible mystical substances.
Watching Koji follow Lusni away, Ezekiel reluctantly moved his feet as well. Only the Emperor knew how much hatred and murderous intent he was suppressing towards the Xenomorphs at that moment.
The further Koken went, the more astonished he became by the new society built by the farts. He believed that he could see these things intentionally by the fart leader, Redhead, who seemed to want him, the so-called great fart mentor, to comment on his cause.
For the Orcs, nothing is more important than making bizarre inventions. Walking on this bridge suspended in mid-air, Komi can see the Orcs' chaotic but orderly production area. They separate the production of weapons and armor, instead of piling them all together like ordinary Orcs, forming a huge garbage mountain for the Orcs to rummage through.
Chapter 577: As long as the scrap metal remains, there's no fear of not having a good Waaagh experience.
Komi even saw some firefighters carrying fire extinguishers moving around the production area, responding to the calls of the bells and announcing their arrival with loud shouts.
As Lusni wore a proud expression, Komi saw an even larger and more professional production workshop where the Pisces were building their mechs, using the power of technology to compensate for their physical shortcomings.
Komi saw the skinny and fat mechs from the Sage of the Sem report freshly produced and then assigned to qualified fart pilots. Compared to the atonement-type combat suits that were connected to the mech via neural interfaces, the connection between these fart pilots and the mechs was more extreme. They cut off their limbs, leaving only their torsos inside the canister-like cockpit, and only death could release them from the mechs.
Ezekiel squinted at the filthy mechs, believing that these filthy creatures were using their filthy hands to imitate the Atonement-type combat suits, which was undoubtedly a blasphemy against the truth of the Omniscient God.
If Koji knew this idea, he would definitely blush. Most of the equipment in his Savior Army was either obtained from demons or related to the second brother of the Mao clan. The only things that truly belonged to humanity were the genetic technologies he learned from the memories of the Primarch, Bai Yuheng. However, these genetic technologies were not promoted in the Savior Army, but were instead tested by Markus.
Crack! Crack! Several whip cracks made Gu Jian peek out and see a large number of strong orcs pouring into a workshop that had lost power. Behind them was a one-eyed butt spirit piloting an overseer mech. He took a sip of fungal wine and cursed the orcs. This was truly going against the natural order.
"Hey! You lazybones, get to work! If you don't do a good job, you won't get any food today!"
The orcs dared not speak out in their anger, but they thought to themselves, "If you little brat were to come down and fight us, we'd shove your head up your ass!"
However, they could only dream about it. Lusni knew the cowardice of these orcs, and he told Komi about the origins of these orcs with great enthusiasm.
"We're tolerant, but we don't take just anyone! We've slaughtered countless idiots who want to oppose us but don't want to cooperate! These orcs are at least sensible; the truly idiotic ones have been turned into spare parts." Lusni pointed into the distance, and Komi saw a group of orcs with half their bodies cut off replacing the automated mechanical arms on the assembly line. They numbly and stiffly repeated the same unchanging work. Their inability to engage in combat made them look very unhealthy, but the orcs didn't care about that. They just waited for the orcs to die on their posts, and then transported them to Yangshiguge's ranch in small carts.
These scoundrels are learning, learning very quickly.
After observing the fart spirits up close, Komi felt a chill. These fart spirits, who had vowed to break free from the oppression of the orcs, were learning from every force they could come into contact with, so that they could survive in the war-torn universe.
The idea of welding orcs to work to death on the assembly line must have come from Redhead after seeing the factories controlled by the Cult of Machines. It ensured that disobedient orcs contributed their strength and also served as a deterrent form of punishment.
As bored orcs passed by those pounding iron plates, these orcs, who still had a modicum of freedom, shuddered. Pounding iron with a sledgehammer wasn't a good job, but it was much better than wasting their lives on an assembly line.
"Truly... amazing." Koji shook his head in admiration. Lusni was even happier after hearing this. If it weren't for Redhead's orders, he really wanted to take Koji to their military camp to see just how powerful the Pit Demons' army was.
Komi walked to the room of the red-headed man. He asked Ezekiel to wait outside the door while he went in to have a good talk with the red-headed man.
Pushing open the door, the room with the red forehead was surprisingly simple. As the leader of the farts, he was not like an orc warlord who liked to use the biggest machete, the biggest gun, and the thickest armor to show his authority. His attire was not even as exaggerated and complicated as Lusni's.
Koken thought this might be determined by the different effects of Waaagh's stance on orcs and farts. Orcs would become stronger as Waaagh's stance strengthened, while farts would not change in size.
Perhaps the Farlings' minds are made smarter by Waaagh's stance? Komi wasn't sure about this; even in books about orcs, Farlings were rarely the main characters, often just cannon fodder mentioned in passing.
"Ah, you've come, shrimp." The red-headed man raised his head, and his forehead was indeed wrapped in red cloth, just like his name.
His eyes were quite sharp and cunning. Koji compared him to the red-cloaked figure from Red Mining World and felt that he was more dangerous than the red-cloaked figure.
“Yes, the Xenomorphs, I’m here.” Koji found a place to sit down. “You’ve seen how the Chaos Army has ravaged this sector. They’re a good target for Waaagh, aren’t they?”
“Yes, it’s a good candidate.” Redhead nodded. “But a Waaagh shouldn’t just be about how fun it is, but also about whether we can win. The principle of enjoying it once versus every time is important, but few idiots think about that. They’re satisfied with a single Waaagh and forget about a long-term Waaagh. Those treacherous ships are big and sturdy, and their cannons are incredibly powerful. We’ll be torn to shreds before we even get close. Your suggestion is unreliable.”
"Didn't those bastards tell you I have a way to make you appear from behind them?"
“If I don’t see it, I won’t believe these words.”
"Okay, then I'll take a look for you."
Without saying a word, Gu Jian took out a Soul Path Beacon in front of Red Head, threw it on the ground to establish a connection with the Eye of the Distant Fortress, and then stretched out his hand towards Red Head, "Do you dare to come with me?"
Redhead glanced at Gu Jian, his eyes clearly asking, "Is this an invitation from a human, or from Agent 005?"
Koji replied with a look, "Of course it's an invitation from Agent 005. I swear on the name of the Great Master of Farting."
Redhead was a wary guy. Instead of directly touching Komi's hand, he lightly tapped the table, and his chair instantly transformed into a well-made power suit of armor, encasing him inside.
"This thing can't be a copy of the Terminator armor, can it?" Komi wondered, looking at the red-headed power armor. The brat then took Komi's hand, and the two passed through the rift towards the Far Eye Fortress.
After a while, the rift opened again, and Komi and Redhead emerged.
"So?" Komi asked, "Did it pique your interest?"
“That’s really good…” Redhead replied excitedly, “So when do we start fighting?”
Gu Jian calculated the time and then said to the red-headed man, "Come to the Tarantis system in three weeks. I have a way to make the Chaos Fleet fight us there. When he activates the Black Rock Fortress, that's when you enter the fray and give him a good beating."
“I like to ambush,” the red-browed man replied with a smile.
Chapter 578: If Abaddon doesn't attack here, I'll just eat it.
In the Tarantis system, if the Ancients had never appeared, the Gothic War would have ended here. Abaddon assembled three Black Rock Fortresses in this system, attempting to destroy the Imperial fleet that came to its aid to ensure that he could maintain absolute superiority in the Gothic Sector.
His plan was also discovered by the Imperial soldiers, and a fierce battle ensued, which brought together the main warships of both sides. In the end, the Blackrock Fortress, which was connected to Abaddon, was disrupted by the Pure Flame. The mortal captain mustered up great courage and rammed the intersection of the three Blackrock Fortress energy cannons. The huge explosion destroyed by the warp engine paralyzed the operation of the Blackrock Fortress.
When Abaddon could no longer rely on these ancient and powerful creations, his defeat was inevitable. He eventually fled in a sorry state to the edge of the Sindelgate system, forcibly jumping into the warp when his ship was in danger of being torn apart by the gravity well.
Abaddon took some Blackrock Fortresses with him on his escape, and left some behind. Before the Empire's technicians could conduct further research on the awakened Blackrock Fortresses, these fortresses disintegrated into countless fragments, becoming an eternal mystery that has plagued the Cult of Asclepius.
However, the situation in the Tarantis system is quite different now. The subspace storms that have been besieging the Gothic sector have not weakened, and the Imperial Navy cannot risk destroying its entire fleet in the subspace to support the Gothic fleet, which is fighting alone.
While the destruction of the Planet Killer was a great victory, it also forced Abaddon to form a dark alliance with the Eldar. Without the deterrent effect of the Planet Killer, the local governments throughout the Gothic Sector did not choose to surrender to Abaddon, but instead resisted to the bitter end under the combined attack of the Chaos Fleet and the Eldar.
This is why Abaddon's offensive was slightly slower than in the original timeline, but the brutality of the war was no less. Large numbers of Imperial citizens were either enslaved, reduced to human form, on Chaos warships or transported to Comoros on Eldar slave ships.
Besides these, there is another force in the Gothic Sector that has yet to emerge: the Eldar, who call themselves enemies of Chaos.
While the Gothic fleet was being harassed by pirates in the rear, these Ark Eldar were also attacking the Chaos fleet's supply lines. They used the speed of their ships and the convenience of the network to bleed the Chaos fleet dry, but so far, Gu Jian has not received any evidence of the Ark Eldar's participation in the war.
Koken believes this is not because he killed too many Eldar pirates, but because the Ark Eldar are wary of their kin. The Chaos Fleet's inability to locate Ark Eldar warships does not mean that the Dark Eldar are not capable of doing so. It should be noted that in the Comoros, a single Ark Eldar slave who has lost their freedom is worth more than an entire ship of human slaves. Both the Conspiracy Council's governor and the Blood-Loving Master are quite interested in the Ark Eldar.
If the captured Ark Eldar is of high status, the Dark Eldar can even extort money from them, demanding Soul Stones to enrich their own coffers.
Given the circumstances described above, the Tarantis system could no longer be the battlefield for the final battle between the Empire and Chaos. However, Koji still chose this place and had Ezekiel send a letter to Chapter Master Azrael, instructing him to tell Admiral Luvansberg to lead the Gothic fleet to this location.
Komi did not choose the Tarantis system out of a desire to replicate history; he had his own reasons.
