Warhammer 40k: Melee Warriors

They were basically the same as the orc clans; some dynasties were good at long-range firepower, while others were good at hyperspace warp.
From this perspective, the technology that this dynasty excelled at was probably the ability to block and influence technology.
However, this is just Komi's unfounded conjecture. Perhaps it was only because some advanced defensive facilities were installed at the entrance of this tomb that it was able to achieve this.
"So what do we do now? Can we contact the sages and the others?"
Felicia and Tarasin both shook their heads at Kane's question.
"It's so deep here that the signal can barely get through."
"For now, all we can do is wander around these ruins. Hopefully, we can find the culprit that cursed my sacred artifact, so I can think of a solution."
“Alright, it seems that’s the only way.” Kane picked up his sidearm and chainsaw sword, and called out to Komi, “Let’s go, Da Hang, we have work to do.”
You're right, we do have work to do.
Komi gripped his club tightly, his gaze fixed on a corner of their space, where spatial tearing fluctuations were emanating—a sign of the approaching space undead warriors.
"I see something coming!"
Komi shouted a reminder and rushed over in one stride.
He didn't want to get hit by the necromancer weapon; it would be best to catch them off guard the moment they stepped out of the space.
The Necromancer's body is made of living metal, and it can heal itself from injuries. Its weapons are incredibly powerful; a single Gaussian disintegration ray is enough to kill even a Space Marine.
Despite their excellent equipment, their combat skills are pitifully low, especially without a dominant leader to direct them.
The only tactic the Necromancer possesses is to advance steadily, raise his gun and fire, relying solely on his stats to break through the enemy's defenses.
As long as an Astronaut soldier doesn't lose his composure and has a decent weapon, he might be able to kill a Necromancer in close combat.
Green rifts appeared out of thin air, and rows of cold, undead warriors emerged from them in perfect unison. Before they could even pick up their Gauss rifles to dismantle the intruders, Komi's club swept across them.
Oglin's terrifying power was once again demonstrated; the necromancer, whose body was made of living metal, couldn't even withstand a single blow from Komi.
With a clang, his head flew off, and he lay on the ground convulsing, his chest caved in.
The sudden outbreak of battle startled Kane, but seeing Komi's fierce rampage, he quickly regained his composure.
"Well done! I'll definitely reward you with a can of Ant Cow food when we get back."
"Thank you, Second Boss!" Gu Jian replied, taking a moment from his busy schedule.
Kane and Felicia rushed forward and used their respective weapons to kill the undead warriors who were still able to move on the ground one by one.
Tarachin stood in a safe place, looking around. It seemed that since he couldn't use necromancy to protect himself, his actions became more conservative.
The first batch of necromancers who crossed over consisted of forty people. Before long, they were all destroyed and became the parts under Koji's feet. Before he could catch his breath, an even more violent spatial fluctuation came from right behind Tarasin.
What's coming?
Hearing Tarasin's piercing scream of terror, Komi, who had just gathered a critical hit, turned around and saw a three-legged, scorpion-shaped Destroyer emerge from the rift, its green Hyperphase Razor slashing down at Tarasin's head.
Tarahim's life is mine.
Komi gave a shout and threw the club in his hand like a spear. The blow, imbued with a critical strike, became even more terrifying with the added strength of the Oglin, making it comparable to the armor-piercing main cannon of the Leman Rustank.
With just one strike, a huge crater appeared on the scorpion-shaped destroyer's body, and the loss of balance caused the strike to miss its mark.
Having narrowly escaped death, Tarasin scrambled and ran away from the Scorpion Destroyer's attack range. Komi strode forward, and before the Scorpion Destroyer could recover, he grabbed its head with both hands and ripped it off with a single pull.
Beneath the cold skull was a mechanical spine, the green light in its eye sockets quickly faded, and the scorpion-shaped destroyer collapsed, leaving behind a corpse for the still-shaken crowd, proving that everything that had just happened was not an illusion.
"Uh...are you alright, Father Tara?" Kane asked about Tara's condition, since the priest was hiding behind him, intending to use him as a shield.
Felicia crushed a piece of living metal with her mechanical pliers, carefully examining the material's structure as she asked, "By the way, what exactly are these things? Did the ancients hate intelligence?"
Realizing his performance had been rather embarrassing, Tarasin coughed awkwardly and stepped out from behind Kane, saying, "According to my research, these are not abominations, but a magnificent civilization that has completed biological transformation."
"Biotransformation?"
“That’s right.” Tarasin’s tone became somewhat heavy when he said this word. “They were once living people with flesh and blood. After the bio-transformation was completed, their flesh and blood were replaced by metal.”
The entire body is made of metal, a level that many mechanical priests have never achieved in their entire lives.
Even the most learned sages must at least preserve their brains, whether it's left inside their skull with many electrodes inserted or soaked in a jar alongside other people's brains; this piece of flesh must remain connected to their body.
If the so-called biotransformation research can be understood and the first fully mechanized mechanical priest can be successfully produced, this achievement will surely make the researcher a great sage of the Mechanicocracy, admired by many.
However, Felicia had little interest in this. She and her teacher studied genetic theory and were disgusted by the idea of a completely metallic body.
Why do you despise our physical bodies so much? Isn't this body the supreme gift that the God of Machines has given us to explore the world?
While they were talking, Koji picked up his stick and, in Oglin's tone, pulled the Hyperphase Razor from the Scorpion Destroyer's hand with great surprise, saying to the others.
"Second boss, look, I found a big cleaver that can glow. I feel like this thing is destined for me."
Kane said with some helplessness, "Put that thing down and slam it down. We don't know how that thing works, and you might get hurt."
Tarasin also tried to dissuade him, but he wasn't worried that Komi would be injured by the Hyperphase Razor; rather, he was worried that more samurai would use it as a coordinate to track him down.
Koji didn't care about any of that. Whether the Hyperphase Razor could be used or not was irrelevant. The most important thing was whether it could be possessed by a machine spirit to seize control, or even crack the design principles so that he could also make a few.
With a soft shout in his mind, the mechanical spirit in the pure white hall flowed into the Hyperphase Razor through his fingertips.
Even though its working principle is no different from magic, Hyperphase Razor is still a weapon that works based on the rules of real-world physics.
Razor, which has no subspace resistance, quickly succumbed to the Machine Soul's offensive, and its dim blade began to glow with a green light again.
What? This Oglin actually passed the security protocol test?
Koji's move nearly dislocated Tarasin's jaw.
While living his life in the human empire and collecting artifacts, Tarachin had seen many humans secretly use the weapons of the space necromancers. However, each of them had undergone long and careful research by the mechanical priests before the security protocols were temporarily lifted, making them secret weapons used only in emergencies.
Now, this Hyperphase Razor has become his weapon after Da Hang has only held it in his hand and played with it for a while.
How did they manage to do that? Could the weapon have been asleep for so long and gotten confused?
Tarasin was completely baffled, and seeing his confused state, Felicia remarked with a touch of emotion, "The Emperor still likes Da Hang so much."
Favored by the Emperor? Could it be a spiritual blessing?
Philia's casual remark opened a new world for Tarasin. As a witness to the Great Crusade and the Horus Rebellion, he knew all too well what kind of creature the current emperor had become.
If I can grasp this somewhat strange Oglin, could I be able to study the Emperor himself from the opposite perspective?
Once this idea pops into your head, it can never be stopped.
However, the matter of arresting them needs to be planned carefully; at least we need to escape from this hellish place first.
That damn physical blockade tower ruined most of my equipment.
Komi was very satisfied with the work done by the machine spirit. He waved the Hyperphase Razor a couple of times, and then took a look at the scorpion-shaped Destroyer that was lying motionless on the ground.
Is it possible to control this thing?
Komi squatted down, stroked the scorpion-shaped Destroyer, and infused it with his machine spirit.
"So, Machine Soul, can you control this mechanical body?"
"This isn't working. Something is resisting my control."
"What is it? The Overlord's Control Protocol?"
"It's not that thing, it's something more mysterious, I can't explain it either."
Hearing the machine spirit's reply, Komi was somewhat disappointed.
If the machine spirit can control the actions of the undead, then the space undead will have to call him "father" whenever they see him.
However, being able to use necromancer weapons is pretty good.
Komi picked up two more Gauss rifles, used the Machine Soul to resolve the security protocol, and then handed them to Kane and Felicia. These things were much better than their weapons.
But Kane shook his head; he still preferred his own explosive pistol. So Felicia took two, one in her hand and the other in her engineering backpack covered in mechanical tentacles.
The group wandered through the tomb, searching for the mechanical cursed tower that Tarasin had mentioned. If they could destroy it, they would have a way to contact the sage Betasion.
They didn't encounter any new necromancers along the way, but killed quite a few scarabs and tomb servants who were guarding the tomb.
Climbing up a secondary pyramid, Komi used his Hyperphase Razor to break open the sealed door, revealing a mysterious structure with nine nested rings, suspended and rotating in mid-air. Tarasin pointed and shouted.
"That's it! The energy it's emitting has cursed the sacred machinery on my body. Destroy it!"
Just then, the broken door suddenly reconstructed and sealed itself, and the mysterious structure also suddenly disappeared. The hall was empty, and hundreds of rifts opened up around it. Hundreds of necromancers emerged, led by a necromancer overlord.
Now, even a fool could see they'd fallen into a trap.
Koji sighed. The necromancer's hyperspace warp technology was too overpowered, practically impossible to defend against, and he had no way to counter it.
Are we just going to have to grit our teeth and fight like this?
Gu Jian put his hands in his pockets, ready to pull out all the powerful weapons in the pure white hall if things went wrong.
In particular, the Thousand Profound Shield, which Demas developed using the Profound-style defensive armor, is the only thing that can offer some defense against the bombardment of Gaussian decomposition rays.
If we can withstand the first few Gaussian beams and rush to the necromancer overlord to kill him, then we still have a chance of winning.
While Komi was trying to figure out a way to break the deadlock, Kane and Felicia turned pale when they saw a large group of undead warriors suddenly appear around them. In their view, even if the Emperor himself appeared, he couldn't save them from the chaos of battle.
However, the Necromancer did not order the warriors to fire. He stepped forward, stared at Tarasin, and spoke coldly.
"How long are you going to keep wearing that pathetic mask, Tarasin?"
Knowing he couldn't escape it, Tarachin sighed and gently brushed his hand across his face. In a flash of distorted light, his image underwent a complete transformation.
“Father Tara, you!” Kane stared wide-eyed in surprise at the turn of events, while Felicia immediately aimed her gun at Tarasin’s head, her voice filled with disgust.
"No wonder you know so much about the structure of this tomb. At first, I thought it was because of your research, but I never expected that you were one of them!"
Tarachin ignored these questions, simply holding his scepter, and slowly walked toward the Necromancer.
"It's been such a long time, my old friend."
“Friend? I remember before I fell into a deep sleep, all I wanted was to take your head off as retaliation for stealing my property.”
"Sixty million years have passed, and you still haven't forgotten?"
"That's my father's urn, how can you expect me to forget that?"
"Didn't your father successfully undergo biological transformation? What's the point of having that urn of ashes?"
"That's no excuse for your crime of theft!"
