Seeing Antoine's ecstatic expression, Komi finally lost his temper and smashed the empty-bullet pistol into his face, this time hitting him squarely.
After stepping over the whining Antoine, the battle was nearing its end. Faeren even had time to grab a succubus and feed him something Komi didn't want to think about.
Sharon was overjoyed that he hadn't made a single mistake while casting his psionic spells. He shouted to Komi, "Brother Markus! You're right! The gods love what we've done! They've lowered their gaze upon my lowly body!"
Too lazy to pay attention to Sharon's blind fanaticism, Komi turned his gaze to the main hall at the end of the road.
The master of the Demon Palace is there, and the secret treasures that would make even Space Marines smile are kept there.
Komi casually picked up the remaining remains of the illusion dancer and threw them into the luxurious and dazzling glass of the main hall.
Disturbed by the noise outside the Sharjah Palace, he began to question the competence of his steward.
Why waste so much time dealing with six living people? Shouldn't he have captured them long ago and brought them to me?
Shaka hissed like a venomous snake, suddenly remembering the ever-changing demon lord whom he had tricked.
Surely it couldn't be a thug that scoundrel hired? He's carrying the magical artifacts that scoundrel provided.
When Shaka thought it was very likely and decided to go out and check the situation herself, her glass was shattered by the dancer's remains, which rolled in front of her.
Recalling the happy times she had spent with the dancers, Sharjah screamed as the door swung open.
Chapter 119: Screams, screams, and more screams
When people mention Nurgle, they immediately think of plague and decay; when they mention Khorne, they think of blood and skulls; and when they mention Tzeentch, they think of all sorts of abstract deception and traps.
So, what about Slaanesh? Is it more about unspeakable things?
After fighting for so long, whenever Komi thought of the word "Slaanesh," his mind was filled with that increasingly irritating scream.
Screaming with joy, screaming with pain, screaming with surprise, screaming with boredom...
These sounds bombarded Komi's ears, making him feel like he was going to have a nervous breakdown. This made him understand even more why the Noise Warriors had become a unique unit of the Slaanesh Chaos Warband.
However, they were not the only ones to endure Shaka's screams. Sharon, the confident spellcaster, stood beside Komi and countered Shaka's screams with equally loud praise.
Komi, caught in the middle, grew increasingly furious.
"Quiet!" Komi slapped Sharon across the face, sending him sprawling to the ground. Sharon covered his face, looking at Komi with a wronged and confused expression.
Komi felt his mind resonating with the sounds echoing in the palace. He pointed his chainsaw axe directly at Shaka, who had a snake's body and six arms, and ordered Feren to fire a few explosive bombs at the madwoman.
“It’s my pleasure to serve you, my brother.” Ferren didn’t waste any words. After his inexplicable friendliness was put aside, Ferren was actually the quietest and most silent one among them.
The explosive bomb, capable of easily killing a succubus, was fired at Shaka. This six-armed demon summoned all sorts of weapons as if by magic.
A large net to grab people, a sickle to chop off legs, a long needle to pierce the bone, a peeling knife to peel skin, a small hammer to grind meat, and a small round shield to deflect attacks.
Compared to the demons of Khorne, the demons of Slaanesh are characterized by their versatility, using various methods to torture and kill their enemies.
Khorne's demons, however, preferred to use brute force to overpower their enemies and chop them into mincemeat.
The small round shield has a mocking face painted on it; as long as it is placed in front of Shaka, it will draw the attacks to it.
One by one, the bombs exploded, leaving only foul-smelling plumes of smoke on the round shield.
"You've ruined this wonderful atmosphere! You'll pay the price! Do you know how expensive these incense sticks are?!" Driven to madness by all the unpleasantness, Shaka charged straight at Faerûn. The Plague Warrior, undaunted by the great demon's fierce attack, stood firm, holding up his shield, and fired his bomb gun through the gap in the shield at Shaka.
"The dark gods watch over the warriors who fight in their name! They bestow their blessings, turning even the most fortified castles to ashes under siege!" Sharon recited the Chaos Bible written by Loka, thus providing his comrades with psionic enhancements.
The dual triggers make it possible to switch between the firing modes of the bomb gun flexibly. When Feren pulls the trigger all the way down, the ammo-saving single shot immediately becomes a rapid-fire shot that sends the bombs flying in a line.
It was fortunate that Ferren's explosive magazine had been expanded, otherwise he would have had to replace it with a new one after just one click.
The bombs struck Shaka like a long whip. Some were blocked by her small round shield, some were dodged by her ghostly figure, and others hit her unarmored body.
Even though Slaanesh archdemons don't like wearing armor and clothes, their defensive capabilities are only weaker compared to archdemons from other pantheons.
The smooth, sand-like skin taut and formed fine snake scales before the bomb hit, and even with Sharon's psionic support, Faerun's attack could not effectively break through Shaga's defenses.
This pain, this trauma, only excited Shaja more, making his attacks on Faerun even more ferocious.
The Plague Boarding Shield, which could not be breached by succubi and had even caused great losses to the rampaging Skinner Chariot, was dented by a single blow from Shaga.
All Feren could do was activate his magnetic boots, causing them to secrete a sticky liquid, and then press his bloated body against the shield to resist Shaka's fierce attack.
The six-hit combo was as fast as lightning; the shield was about to be destroyed before the jump shield even had a chance to groan.
However, without a moment's grief over the severe damage to Faerûn's boarding shield, Antoine and Komi immediately rushed to Shaka's side to launch an attack.
The longsword and chainsaw axe attacked from the left and right, one cunning and agile, the other swift and heavy.
Shajah's head sprouted six eyes, taking in everything that was happening.
The large net was thrown at Komi, trapping him and his chainsaw axe together. Spikes also grew inward from the intersections of the net ropes, attempting to kill Komi directly within them.
The needle, longer than the longsword, struck Antoine's chest first, pinning his leaping body to the ground.
In the first round of combat, Koji and his companions were clearly losing ground. Sharon was chanting a complex and lengthy spell in order to break through the great demon's defenses, and he was unable to stop the spell to help his brothers.
Shaka chuckled, "Is this all the strength you have? Isn't it a bit too weak? This amount of time is enough for me to kill you six times over!"
"Really? I don't believe it." Ferren answered in a muffled voice, and at some point he produced a spray gun, the ammunition tubes of which were clearly a section of his intestines.
Shaja's smile froze and vanished after Faerun sprayed a large amount of filth on her. She gritted her teeth and toyed with Faerun, tearing off his boarding shield and the armor that was fused to his flesh.
"I'm going to tear you limb from limb, you bastard! I'm going to turn you into my toilet! I'm going to make you deal with my filth every single day!"
At this moment, Feren displayed an amazing talent for sarcasm, even making Koji suspect that this guy was Chagatai's son. If Bennett were here, he would have cheered loudly for his words.
Feren looked at Shaka with his yellowish, cloudy eyes, and then replied calmly, "Believe me, I will spit on your butt after I finish eating all your food. What you spit out will eventually go back to you."
"Ah ah ah ah ah!"
Shajah grew increasingly furious, completely disregarding everyone else.
The attraction of hatred by Feren finally allowed Antoine and Komi to break free from the shackles of the long needle and the large net.
Komi broke free first and swung his axe at Shaka's bare back. The chainsaw's teeth struggled against the scales that had grown on her back, but the damage was more severe to the serrated blades that the chainsaw always managed to grow.
Antoine took a few steps forward, dragging his body out of the barbed needles. He ignored the large amount of flesh and blood wrapped around the barbs and thrust his sword into the gaps in Shakan's scales.
"Enough! You ants!"
Annoyed by the fly-like attacks, Shaka gathered his demonic power in his throat and roared it out through his mouth.
The sound waves were even more terrifying than dozens of Noiseless mechs equipped with speakers playing in unison, or thousands of rock 'n' roll kids firing cannons and singing. They sent Komi, Antoine, and Feren flying hundreds of meters and crashing them hard against the wall.
Even Sharon, who was far away, had his spells disrupted by the screams, making it even harder for him to severely injure the Guardian Demon with psionic magic before Shaka could launch his attack.
Chapter 120:
Komi coughed up a mouthful of blood and barely managed to prop himself up with his trembling arms.
He felt like he had gone deaf, and tinnitus seemed to be becoming a permanent ailment plaguing his ears.
The armor and the flesh and bones protected within trembled, no longer heeding Komi's call, like a frenzied audience cheering for Shaka at the center of the stage.
It seems I overestimated myself...
Gu Jian coughed a few times. Although this great demon was not a powerful or influential figure, he didn't need to exert too much effort to defeat these few nameless nobodies.
A shadow loomed over Komi. He looked up and saw that Shaka was staring intently at him, clearly having realized from the earlier probing that Komi was the strongest warrior.
Faerun was gutted by Sharjah and fished out using a standing barbecue grill.
Sharon was engulfed by the demonic sound, frozen in place along with his magic, foaming at the mouth.
Antoine was impaled in the chest by the snake's tail and swayed as Shaka moved.
The sharp blade was aimed at Komi's head, about to take his life in the next second. At that critical moment, a thin black lightning bolt scorched a few of Shaka's eyebrows.
It was Elaine who did it. The navigator had mustered all her courage to face the terrible devil before her, while her dog, who had always been with her, had long since found a safe place to hide.
"Hehehe..." Shaka stopped what he was doing, and instead used his thick snake tail to whip Komi hard, slamming him against the wall and sending him sliding down.
Shaka moved closer to the trembling Elaine, her gaze being ten times more terrifying and direct to Elaine than Bennett's.
Elaine was unable to muster any power, not even to cry, and could only stand there blankly, waiting for Shaka to torment her.
The unusual roar grew louder and louder, and Komi couldn't help but look up at the palace dome. A dark shadow crashed through the palace and slammed down toward Shaka's location.
It's HeLa!
Koji couldn't help but shout in his heart.
The Hela drop pod, capable of carrying an entire squad of Space Marines, possessed an exaggerated impact force propelled by fuel. Even Shaka dared not withstand the impact of this ferocious machine head-on.
Shaka leaped away from Elaine, and Hela landed, unleashing all her weapons. The red lasers were Hela's hateful gaze, and every rocket and bomb she fired was a loud curse.
Hela is not good-tempered when dealing with people other than Bennett. If given permission, she could kill Sharon, Fayen, and the others without hesitation.
Rockets kept exploding on Shaka's body, the explosives hitting him so hard he couldn't even open his eyes. He could only barely use his arms to protect his face and retreat step by step.
The airdrop hatch opened, and a dark blue warrior flipped over and crouched on Hela's spikes. His arrogant gaze shot out from his crimson goggles, first landing on the somewhat disheveled Komi.
"Looks like you need covering fire." Bennett's deep, magnetic voice was so pleasant to hear at that moment. If Komi didn't have to maintain the persona of a World Devourer veteran, he would have really wanted to stand up and give Bennett's cold face a good kiss.
Shaka screamed, but she was no longer as powerful as before. It seemed that even a hellish scream of that level was not something she could use casually.
Bennett patted Hela's armor and leaped to Komi's side. The syringes containing armor-piercing spikes were injected into Komi's body. The combat serum was calming the spasms of flesh and the trembling of bones, allowing Komi to regain control of his body once again.
“This medicine has severe side effects; we must act quickly,” Bennett warned.
"How did you land so accurately?" Komi asked, tilting his head up. Bennett chuckled and turned his gaze to Elaine.
She was completely exhausted, and the duck knelt on the ground, taking deep breaths. She couldn't even perceive Bennett's admiring gaze upon her.
“I must say, you have excellent judgment. She is intelligent and brave, creating a dazzling psionic coordinate in this palace filled with nothing but debauchery and sin.” Bennett finished his pleasantries, ignited his lightning claws, and rushed towards Shaka to buy Komi time to recover.
Hela and Bennett's teamwork was so perfect that even Shaja, who was attacked by the two of them, wanted to praise their rare chemistry.
However, Bennett was ultimately just an ordinary Space Marine. He could only gain an advantage during the brief moment when Shaja was staggered by the attack. Once Shaja recovered from the surprise attack, his defeat was inevitable.
Komi stood up, clearly remembering that he had already struck Shaka three times in the previous attack. Now, he only needed to strike once more to let this demon taste the feeling of his skin being torn apart.
He reached into the spear sack; only one spear remained. The others had been used up when the Skinner's Chariot was destroyed.
The five-times-one-critical-hit combo helped Koga a lot, but in a way, it made his ammo consumption rate astonishingly fast.
In order to ensure that fifth critical hit, Komi would often subconsciously use the first four throws to harass the enemy, creating an opportunity for the fifth throw to hit.
A javelin was thrown, and Komi followed closely behind, giving Shaka no time to react.
