This is a cultivation game, but its operation is terrible.

When Jiang Liu saw the mid-grade spells and magical artifacts in the exchange shop, he couldn't help but feel annoyed and cursed the official for being stingy.

However, his attention was soon drawn to the first two limited-edition special effects items.

"It's actually a light effect..."

Jiang Liu was slightly surprised. He remembered that when he upgraded to VIP2, he unlocked the Flowing Light Effect Slot, but he never knew how to obtain it, so the Slot remained empty.

Unexpectedly, this special effect appeared in the redemption shop for this event.

Yes, we can take it.

He roughly calculated that all he needed were these two special effects and upgrade stones, which would require a total of 4997 spirit crystals to exchange for.

Although the exact yield of spiritual crystals is still unclear, it should be fine.

I've even bought the compass, positioning stone, and auto-pickup privilege. If I still can't clear out the exchange shop after all that, then the official team is really disrespecting paying players.

Jiang Liu scanned the exchange shop several times, and after confirming that there were no other good items worth paying attention to, he was just about to close the shop when his gaze inadvertently fell on the last item in the shop, and he was instantly stunned.

Selling unit... Spirit Stones?

Could it be that a temporary worker wrote the wrong code?

Jiang Liu was filled with doubt, and subconsciously clicked on the item that was sold in spirit stones.

[Spiritual Crystal Gift Pack]: Opening this gift pack will grant you 1999 Spiritual Crystals at once. Limited to 1 purchase per person. Price: 3888 Spirit Stones.

Jiang Liu stared at the screen, speechless for a long time, his mind filled with questions.

He thought he was seeing things, so he rubbed his eyes and looked again carefully.

1999 spiritual crystals, priced at 3888 spirit stones.

Holy crap, damn it!

So the items you can redeem during events can be sold directly!

You're such a beast!

Chapter 100: After spending money on in-game purchases, it became utterly boring.

It's all right to criticize and it's all right to be disgusting.

But I have to say, 1999 spirit crystals for 3888 spirit stones, this stuff is really cheap.

buy.

Jiang Liu grumbled as he bought the Spirit Crystal Gift Pack. Now he only needs to collect 2998 Spirit Crystals to exchange for everything he wants in the exchange shop.

Damn it, if you're so capable, try selling two more gift packs and see if I'll still sell them.

[The spiritual energy tides on Moon Spirit Island have officially entered a state of disorder. A spiritual energy storm and the chaos of the five elements have descended. Players, please be careful.]

As a system notification sounded, Jiang Liu could clearly sense a change in the surrounding spiritual energy.

The originally gentle spiritual energy that flowed smoothly around his body now became unruly. The invisible spiritual energy sometimes felt like a sharp blade, mercilessly scraping his skin and causing waves of stinging pain.

He glanced at the spiritual energy concentration value below the minimap. One second it was 750%, the next it became 200%, and the next second it became 1000%.

With prices fluctuating like this, is it even possible to cultivate these next couple of days?

Looking around, five miles away from where he was, a semi-transparent tornado was raging wildly. It was a tornado storm formed entirely of spiritual energy, like a runaway prehistoric beast, slowly moving in one direction, leaving nothing but desolation in its wake.

As the spiritual energy storm moved, it was like a greedy glutton, constantly devouring the spiritual energy within its radius. As it absorbed more and more spiritual energy, its size grew larger and larger, as if it wanted to take the entire Moon Spirit Island into its grasp.

Jiang Liu glanced ahead, then turned to look around. Within his field of vision, he could see three storms of spiritual energy sweeping across most of his field of vision.

If the spiritual energy storm continues to grow, it will probably cover the entire Moon Spirit Island in no time.

In other words... players who don't buy the Storm Charm have nowhere to go on the entire Moonspirit Isle.

The plan was ruthless.

But I just won't buy it.

Jiang Liu ignored the continuous howling spiritual energy storm, refusing to believe that the spiritual energy storm he had planned and designed couldn't even stop a Foundation Establishment cultivator.

If even Foundation Establishment stage players can't hold them off, then wouldn't all Qi Refining stage players be doomed?

Impossible, absolutely impossible.

Even if the game designers are ruthless, they still have to leave a way out for ordinary players. Otherwise, if they drive away ordinary players, who will still play this game?

Therefore, the spiritual energy storm in this event is at most at the Qi Refining stage level, and it's impossible for it to harm a Foundation Establishment player like him.

Jiang Liu silently guessed what was going on, a confident smile appearing on his face. He casually took out the Space Warp Compass he had purchased and activated it directly.

Compass, teleport me to the center of the aura storm!

The moment it was activated, the Space Warp Compass flashed a white light, enveloping Jiang Liu's body and causing him to disappear from the spot.

As the white light that had been obscuring his vision gradually dissipated, Jiang Liu found himself in the center of a storm of spiritual energy.

The almost solidified spiritual energy roared and surged around him like a raging tide, carrying an extremely strong yet refreshing aura. The howling wind made it difficult for him to breathe.

The spiritual energy carried by the gale was like a series of sharp knives, constantly slicing across his skin, causing a slight sting that he scoffed at.

Is that all the aura storm is?

It's just a superficial injury!

As expected, the aura storm was not strong enough to cause much damage to him, a Foundation Establishment stage player.

In other words... he can cross the spiritual energy storm!

Jiang Liu smiled confidently, looking at the hundred-meter-high spiritual energy storm. Amidst the raging spiritual energy, he could clearly see one crystalline point of light after another, scattered like stars throughout the storm.

These must be crystals of spiritual energy, right?

Jiang Liu glanced at the numerous points of light in his field of vision and couldn't help but curse the planner in his heart. "Damn it, the spiritual energy crystals are so obvious. What's the point of having spiritual energy crystal positioning stones?"

This is a rip-off, I bought it for nothing!

He was in the midst of a storm of spiritual energy, enduring the tearing and scraping of the spiritual energy every second. He stretched out his Cloud Wings and was about to fly to the vicinity of the spiritual energy crystal to automatically pick it up when the system voice suddenly sounded in his mind.

[You are now caught in a spiritual energy storm, and the effects of the rampant spiritual energy have caused a reversal in the state of your cultivation technique.]

The spiritual energy within you has reversed.

[Under the state of reversed spiritual energy, all your spells and magical artifacts will lose control.]

Your spells and artifacts have lost their effectiveness. Please leave the area affected by the aura storm as soon as possible.

Jiang Liu: "??????"

Hey, what does this mean?

Upon hearing the system's voice in his mind, Jiang Liu was filled with astonishment. The Cloud Wings, which had just flapped twice, instantly malfunctioned, and his flying body plummeted from mid-air.

Reversal of spiritual energy?

My spiritual energy circulation has been running smoothly and automatically, so why are you saying it's flowing backwards...?

Jiang Liu was filled with doubt. He subconsciously sensed the circulation of spiritual energy in his body and was shocked to find that the spiritual energy, which was originally flowing clockwise, was now surging wildly in a counterclockwise direction.

"They've really gone against the tide?"

He hurriedly activated the Three Revolutions Profound Technique, trying to guide the reversed spiritual energy back onto the right track. However, no matter how hard he tried, the spiritual energy in his body was like a wild horse that had broken free of its reins, completely out of control, still flowing in a counterclockwise direction, as if controlled by a mysterious force.

Damn, I see.

So they were just waiting for me, huh?

Jiang Liu was so angry he laughed. He thought he could ignore the spiritual energy storm with his own strength, but unfortunately, the authorities were even more ruthless.

You're strong because you're in the Foundation Establishment stage, so you can ignore my Qi Refining stage spiritual energy storm.

Very well, then I'll seal you away directly!

This isn't directed at him, but at all players who have the ability to withstand the aura storm.

The Storm Charm won't appeal to casual players because they can't afford it.

Most players who can afford the Storm Amulet are pay-to-win players, but pay-to-win players also have the strength to withstand the Spirit Storm.

What should I do?

Then we'll have to seal your power.

A single move reverses the flow of spiritual energy, rendering all spells and magical artifacts ineffective, forcing you to purchase the Storm Amulet.

This strike was delivered with remarkable precision.

"Okay, okay, I'll buy it, alright?"

Jiang Liu sighed deeply, feeling utterly helpless in the face of the official tactics.

[Should I spend 188 spirit stones to purchase the Storm Amulet?]

【Yes】

Storm Amulet, priced at 188 spirit stones, actually paid for at 1.88 spirit stones.

This money is for you to earn.

The moment he put on the Storm Charm, the whole world fell silent.

The howling winds of spiritual energy in my ears disappeared, the sharp blades of spiritual energy tearing at my skin vanished, the counter-clockwise flow of spiritual energy returned to clockwise, and all negative effects disappeared.

"Now that the money's spent, we should be able to collect spirit crystals, right?"

Jiang Liu muttered to himself, then spread his wings and flew once more toward the spiritual crystal swirling in the spiritual energy storm.

But before he could even get within ten meters of the spiritual energy crystal, the system's voice rang in his mind once again.

[The Five Elements are in disarray in this area; you have been affected by this disarray.]

[You are being eroded by the chaotic fire element, suffering a burning effect equal to 1% of your maximum health per second.]

[You are being eroded by the disordered water element, causing your spiritual energy circulation speed to decrease by 100%.]

[You are affected by the chaotic influence of the Earth element, your movement speed has decreased by 100%.]

You have received...

A series of system notifications rang in Jiang Liu's mind, and in the blink of an eye, he was covered in a bunch of debuffs, his face instantly turning dark.
