He suddenly began chanting profound dragon script. Before this, he and Lu Mingfei had been manipulating the elements directly with their minds.

A new realm was awakened. Metal shavings around Norton seemed to be drawn by an invisible vortex, swirling and dancing around him. At the same time, bright "stars" flew up from the surface of the lava longsword—drops of molten metal. The surrounding metal converged, the "stars" of the longsword flew away, and the blade was being reborn. The rough old blank and impurities were shed, and the newly formed blade was smooth and round, with beautiful flame-like patterns hidden beneath the mirror-like surface.

Norton was not worried about Lu Mingfei's sneak attack.

Now that the two have stopped moving at high speed, the Royal Domain and the Elemental Domain have stabilized. The clear boundary is like a semi-transparent wall standing in front of them. The chaotic elemental storm is squeezed by the domain and all of it is crammed into that thin boundary, where lightning and flames rage.

During their final clash, both were at their last gasp, and now they were racing against time to recover from their injuries. If Lu Mingfei were to risk his remaining strength to disrupt the forging process, Norton was confident he could deliver a fatal blow within the domain.

Lu Mingfei watched quietly as Norton forged the knife.

That was completely different from the method he learned at the Kassel College. The smelting process involved not only fire and spirit, but also the intertwining and transformation of the five elements, gradually approaching the material's ultimate balance point, while also incorporating a certain alchemical realm.

Lu Mingfei admitted that he was no match for Norton in this regard.

Instead of interrupting the other party's "refining," he closed his eyes and breathed more calmly.

He was surrounded by a raging wind, a heart pounding like a drum, the crackling of exploding sparks, the booming of electric arcs piercing the air, the dense, fine sounds of iron filings colliding like waves, and the chilling writhing and grinding within his bones and flesh—everything was so clear it was as if the domain of the Word-Spell Weasel had been unleashed.

Then everything quieted down.

He entered a state similar to meditation.

In the darkness of the heart, another self shines forth.

Norton kept a close eye on Lu Mingfei while refining the alchemical weapon in his hand, elevating it to a higher level. However, as a certain time approached, the quieter Lu Mingfei became, the more uneasy Norton grew. Logically, both of them should have recovered sufficiently, and the anticipated moment for Lu Mingfei to launch his attack was almost here.

But Lu Mingfei remained as quiet as ever.

Just then, Norton sensed an anomaly in the fire element behind him. There was a hazy spherical area with weak fluctuations in the fire element, but it was crystal clear to the Dragon King.

Realizing it had been discovered, the thing immediately became active, attempting to "squeeze" into Norton's domain. It was pure fire and destruction, a "fierce god's flame" dozens of times more powerful than when Lu Mingfei had just unleashed it, so powerful that even the supreme king of fire elements' domain could not dismantle it in a short time.

Norton then realized that he wasn't the only one who wanted to end the fight.

The new god infused something beyond the spiritual into that Word of Power. It was beyond the new god's control, yet it could conceal its fire elemental fluctuations, automatically track enemies, and absorb energy to strengthen itself—all because it had transformed into a living "natural will." It lingered on the edge of the king's battlefield until Norton discovered it, at which point it unleashed its will without concealment: destruction.

Some of these "Words of Power" are not based on ancient authority, yet they possess similar destructive power.

Ultimate Word Power!

The new god created his own ultimate flame spell!

Norton no longer wanted to reforge his sword, even if it could decide the outcome when it was finished.

He activated all the defensive spells he could stack on himself, while frantically flapping his bone wings in an attempt to escape.

However, the "Evil God's Flame" was activated.

The singularity vanished, and the confined energy broke through the event horizon. The intense heat caused the central matter to emit light radiation powerful enough to burn the eyes of a dragon, and the surrounding gas was instantly pushed to hundreds of thousands of atmospheres of pressure—theoretically, a piece of charcoal placed inside would be crushed into a diamond. In the next stage, high-energy particle beams escaped at ultra-high speeds, followed by the formation of a shock wave.

At this point, Norton's feet had just left the ground, and his body was layered at the distance from the singularity, with scales, skin, flesh, and bones collapsing and turning to ashes layer by layer.

It wasn't the flames that killed him, but the shockwave.

Chapter 64 BUG

Time stood still once again.

Norton's body was mostly charred. Of the thousands of bones in his humanoid form, less than a fifth remained intact. His limbs were torn off, and his chest and cranial cavities were completely burned away. The dried and charred internal organs and soft tissues clung tightly to the remaining skeleton like withered black vines.

However, the flames could not go any further.

The world is completely still at the microscopic level; under normal circumstances, all matter would have reached the concept of absolute zero. However, in a world devoid of the dimension of time, human scientific concepts are meaningless.

At the last moment, Norton used his remaining will to open a portal in the spacetime dimension.

In simple terms, the world as seen by dragons is an indescribable, curved dimension. They can leave "beacons" at spacetime coordinates with the right curvature, and then use ultimate alchemy to achieve miracles—opening up passages to dimensions beyond the world.

When he traverses this passage, it is essentially a time reversal that does not produce spacetime paradoxes. When he, as an observer, arrives at the end of the passage, a new historical line will be opened. Therefore, in the worldview of dragons, the universe does not have a single history; it has multiple possible histories, each with its own probability.

In this new "history," Norton learned in advance of Lu Mingfei's killer move.

The power unleashed by that unknown ultimate flame incantation comes from the "natural will" within the ultimate alchemical domain of [Life Creation]. It is the manifestation of destruction, and its essence is the opposite of the dustless realm of incantations—"collapse"—applying a Dragon King-level collapse to the fire element.

Its own energy level has not reached a disruptive level.

Therefore, after it erupts, its energy decays extremely quickly, and apart from the shockwave it has already generated, the remaining force cannot cause long-range damage. In the bronze city of Nibelungen, what is not lacking is the infinitely overlapping bronze passageways and cavities that can weaken the shockwave. On a macroscopic scale, the tortuous and interconnected cavities are like the structure of a human firearm's silencer.

Norton only needs to avoid this surprise attack and then finish forging the longsword imbued with part of the concept of "the sin of greed," and victory will be decided!

Having a "human heart" yet wanting to exercise divine power, this greed will be repaid with blood and bones!

The silent drama of time reversal on the Panhandle Plateau is being staged once again.

The world embarks on a brief journey of entropy reversal, and the "future" unfolding is the "past" as remembered by the observers. The rapidly expanding shockwave of the "Evil God's Flame" slowly contracts, and wherever its boundary passes, charred debris dances against the wind pressure, landing on Norton's mutilated body, piecing itself back together, cells regenerating, tissues coagulating, organs recovering, and complex biological systems being rebuilt.

Norton was fully resurrected when the last scale closed and merged into his streamlined body surface amidst the vibrations.

At this point, the "evil god's flames" had shrunk to a miniature light source and were going out.

The speed at which time flows backward becomes much slower.

Norton was unconcerned. In truth, while he could use alchemy to create passages to other dimensions, he didn't fully understand the things between spacetime beacons. To beings living in other dimensions, those things couldn't even be described in terms of spacetime; all rules would break down there, like a terrifying bug.

Each passage through the passage is different, and sometimes observers may see and hear terrifying illusions, so the "uneven speed of time reversal" is not a situation that should cause unease.

However, this time is different.

When time flowed backward to its slowest possible speed, it actually stopped.

Norton was trapped halfway through the passage, something that had never happened before. Here, both the power of words and elemental forces were rendered ineffective, meaning he might be lost forever.

Aside from his clear mind, he had no other ability to move.

In this silence that transcends timelines, Norton noticed Lu Mingfei's unusual behavior.

The boy's eyelashes trembled slightly, and his tightly closed eyes suddenly opened! They were eyes devoid of emotion and reason, flowing with a chilling, golden lava-like aura, filled only with pure hostility, like those of a wild beast.

The time reversal takes place along the history as remembered by the observer, and with Norton's memory, it is impossible for him to have misremembered the details of history.

There is only one possibility: Lu Mingfei changed the course of history!

The boy, covered in bluish-black scales, struggled slowly, as if being pulled by some powerful force, his movements like a still frame in a movie.

A strange emotion called fear exploded in Norton's heart.

The ultimate alchemy technique, "Time Reversal," merely alters the timeline by creating new historical lines. What kind of thing could change history within the world's own dimension? Theoretically, at every smallest unit of time, the world's historical line is jumping!

For a moment, he thought he was witnessing Ragnarok.

Who but that supreme being of supreme power and supreme virtue could do such a thing?

Norton tried to struggle, to break free, but he couldn't even shout out, "What are you?"

He then realized that the true outcome of the battle had been decided the moment Lu Mingfei closed his eyes. His opponent was a bug-level entity in the world, capable of killing him simultaneously in the past and future.

Some people watched from a distance, sneering contemptuously.

"What a stupid dragon! How could my brother possibly suffer a second loss?"

......

Lu Mingfei had never faced a powerful enemy who used time as a weapon in the border area, but he encountered one for the first time in the small building that the Executive Department had converted.

No one in this world could understand Lu Mingfei's method of learning extraordinary powers. He had studied magic and prayer on countless scrolls, memorizing the profound process of manipulating power with his mind. This process could not be described in words, yet it was imprinted in his instincts. When he received the power of words, alchemy, and elemental forces, he continued to memorize them without ceasing.

During that time reversal, he observed Norton's actions from the perspective of the first-generation supreme being. This was by no means enough for him to immediately master the pinnacle of dragon alchemy, but it was enough for him to become familiar with the signs, mental sensations, and physical reactions when it was released.

What he captured was "loosening".

It was a "loosening" lurking in the most minute moments, which even Lu Mingfei could sense but could hardly catch.

Unless another version of yourself comes.

If we were to pinpoint Lu Mingfei's most difficult battle, it wouldn't be against demigods, gods, deities, or the beasts of Elden, but rather against the bionic teardrop—a product left behind by the civilization of the Eternal City when it attempted to create a king.

It can mimic everything about its enemies, including the power of artifacts and laws.

Chapter 65 Kill

Lu Mingfei's first transformation in combat skills and fighting spirit occurred during his battle with the "Bio-Teardrop".

Against an enemy with exactly the same strength, skills, weapons, and armor as him, Lu Mingfei gained no advantage and was even beaten helplessly.

That is not an enemy that can be defeated by trickery; the only way to win is to find a sliver of hope in countless battles.

For a long time, Lu Mingfei repeatedly challenged the "teardrop imitation", but he was unable to figure out the opponent's moves as he had in previous battles.

The battle was like looking in a mirror; the enemy's attacks were his familiar combat techniques, magic, and prayers, and he had to surpass that familiarity until he reached the pinnacle in order to have a chance of victory.

He couldn't remember how many times he had fallen, but he felt that those familiar yet unfamiliar cold eyes were like a nightmare, something he could see whenever he closed his eyes.

Once, while sitting cross-legged, he actually fell asleep from exhaustion.

His body was not tired, but his mind was extremely fragile. Under these circumstances, he entered a real lucid dream.

In his dream, a "teardrop-like figure" walked towards him and attacked him, and he was able to subconsciously block or dodge each of its attacks.

It was a collection of fragments and microcosms pieced together from every previous confrontation, and he endlessly repeated this stitched-together battle in his dreams.

Upon waking, Lu Mingfei gained some insight and challenged the Tear of Imitation once again. That was the last and longest battle. Towards the end, Lu Mingfei's mind began to wander. With each swing of his sword, each dodge, each release of magic, and each prayer, fatigue accumulated in his body like trickles of water until it became an overwhelming tidal wave of exhaustion.

The sounds of swords clashing and sparks flashing illuminated those familiar yet unfamiliar, indifferent eyes.

Since arriving at the border, the pain, confusion, and despair I've experienced, which I usually keep buried deep inside, are now surfacing one after another.

"I'm so tired..."

"It hurts..."

"Why……"

"It's definitely impossible..."

He had never said these words, yet they appeared as if he were hallucinating during a break in the battle, filling Lu Mingfei with a sense of frustrated anger.

He was not only angry at the cowardice of those who lamented, but also angry at his own inability to control his inner self.

So he simply gave up thinking, along with his mental exhaustion, his aversion to fighting, his desires and fears, until his mind was devoid of past and future, leaving only the reflection of the blade in his eyes. He was still being suppressed by his opponent, each move still subtly controlled by him, but his eyes were gradually becoming similar to his opponent's.

Until it becomes cold and pure.

Until one moment, he began to gain the upper hand.
