"Okay, I understand." Itari stretched his body and nodded.
After getting out of bed, I felt I recovered faster than when I was lying down, and now I feel much better.
"Where is that tent?" Huzhang stretched out his arms. "I'm going there now."
Youyou glanced at him but didn't try to persuade him further.
"Go straight ahead for two intersections, next to the blue road sign, it's easy to spot."
"Okay." Itachi nodded and turned to leave.
Not far from the medical team, a jade dog ran out from around the corner.
The white fur was covered in dust and dried blood, and its paws crunched on the broken glass.
The jade dog stopped at the feet of the tiger staff and looked back.
Fushiguro Megumi emerged from the shadows.
The clothes were torn in several places, and a piece of the cuff was ripped off.
There was a little dust on his usually indifferent face, but there were no obvious wounds.
He paused when he saw Itadori, his gaze sweeping from the bruises on Itadori's face to the bandages on his arm.
"You look like you've been beaten up badly."
“You’re not much better off.” Itadori shrugged, glancing at Fushiguro Megumi’s torn sleeve.
Fukuro Megumi glanced down, chuckled softly, and said nothing.
The two stared at each other for a second. The jade dog rubbed against Tiger Staff, then sat down at his feet, its tail swishing back and forth on the ground.
Just as they were about to say something, a muffled explosion suddenly came from afar, and the ground trembled slightly.
“There’s a battle going on underground at Shibuya Station,” Fushiguro Megumi said. “The magical energy fluctuations are huge and ongoing, but we don’t know exactly who’s fighting whom.”
He took his hand out of his pocket and flexed his fingers.
"After Gojo-sensei was sealed away, the battle over there never stopped. Cyborgs are still pouring out from all the exits. The assistant supervisor is sealing off the perimeter, but it won't last long."
"What about communications?" Itachi asked, rubbing his forehead.
"There's no response. It must have been damaged during the battle," Fushiguro Megumi replied. "Previously, Mashiro was down there, but now it's unclear, and we don't have the manpower to investigate."
"There's nothing we can do about it. Just trust Mashiro-nee." Itadori was silent for a moment. "What about the others?"
"Who?"
"Oh, it's the Nine Phases of the Cursed Embryo Diagram, and now two of them are in human form," Tiger Rod explained.
“Oh, them,” Fukuguro Megumi nodded and said, “They can’t get in from outside the tent; that new tent refuses entry to spirits.”
"So now it's just the two of us?" Itadori glanced at Fushiguro Megumi. "What's the situation with Kugizaki and Junpei?"
“They just encountered a curse master, not particularly strong but just impossible to kill.” Fushiguro Megumi shrugged. “They’re stuck there.”
"Um, are you alright?"
"It should be alright." Fushiguro Megumi thought for a moment and said with a subtle expression, "When Junpei's communications came in, all I heard from over there were that person's screams and Kugizaki's curses."
"Hesitant, as expected of Kugizaki..."
He gripped and released his hand, his knuckles making a cracking sound.
He and Fushiguro Megumi are the only people available right now, and they have to go no matter how difficult it is.
Tiger Staff hardened his resolve, strode forward toward the tent, and said, "Let's go."
Fushiguro Megumi followed, and the Jade Dog stood up from the ground, shook the dust off its fur, and followed at Fushiguro Megumi's feet.
The two walked through a dimly lit street, where most of the streetlights were broken, and the shards of glass crunched under their shoes.
The wreckage of a burned car was still smoking by the roadside, and the air was filled with the smell of gunpowder and burning rubber.
After turning a corner, a tent appeared ahead.
Tiger Staff reached out and touched the surface of the tent; his palm passed right through it without any resistance.
“I can go in.”
Fushiguro Megumi also reached out and tried it; his palm also went right through.
Just as they were about to enter the tent, footsteps came from behind them.
Zhang Xiang walked over from the other end of the street, followed by Huai Xiang and Xue Tu.
His swollen face was very stiff, and the blood vessels at the corners of his eyes were slightly bulging.
His gaze fell on Tiger Staff, and he stared at him for a few seconds.
After a long while, he let out a long sigh of relief and patted Huzhang's shoulder: "It's good that you're alright."
The villain stood half a step to the side of the bloated one, with wounds on his arm from the previous battle.
He patted Hu Zhang on the shoulder, then fixed his gaze on the tent.
“There’s the aura of a cursed spirit inside,” Bad Face said gravely. “Its power is immense.”
Zhang Xiang stepped forward and placed his hand on the surface of the tent.
The moment the palm touched the tent, a burst of red light erupted.
The swollen hand was bounced back, and the skin on the palm was scorched, the sizzling sound being particularly clear on the quiet street.
Zhang Xiang looked down at his hands; blood beads were seeping from the edges of the scorch marks.
His expression remained unchanged as he clenched and unclenched his fists, drops of blood dripping from between his fingers onto the ground.
The villain stepped forward, his hand already raised, but the bloated one blocked him with his other hand.
“It’s no use,” said Zhang Xiang. “This tent refuses entry to cursed spirits, so we half-cursed spirits can’t get in.”
He let his burned hand hang by his side, blood dripping down his fingers and falling drop by drop onto the broken glass.
Zhang Xiang ignored it and turned to look at Hu Zhang. "Logically speaking, you shouldn't be able to get in either."
"In other words..." Itadori was silent for a moment.
"In other words, this account is specially opened for you." Zhang Xiang nodded. "We're just waiting for you to go in."
Chapter 131 Tuogen
Huzhang and Zhang looked at each other.
His swollen pupils glowed faintly in the night, and he didn't need to repeat what he had said to Itajō before.
"The contents inside are now in your hands," said Zhang Xiang. "Youren, be careful."
Tiger Stick looked at his still-bleeding hand, and at the silent, blood-stained figure standing on the broken glass behind him.
"Wait for us to come out." Tiger Staff raised his fist and stretched it out in front of Zhang Xiang.
Zhang Xiang smiled, said nothing, and silently raised his fists to touch.
"Don't forget us!" Badface and Bloodstained also bumped fists.
After exchanging fist bumps, Zhang Xiang took a step back, making way for the two of them.
The villain also took a step back, and the three brothers stood side by side outside the tent.
Itachi turned around. Fukuro had already placed a hand on the head of the jade dog.
"Jade Dog".
The black one also leaped out of his shadow, its ears standing straight up and its nose twitching in the air.
Two jade dogs stood in front of them, poised to pounce.
"Walk."
The two men passed through the tent.
Inside the tent was a passageway to an underground shopping street. The passageway was wide, and most of the tiles on the walls were broken.
The sharp edges of the shattered tiles reflected the light.
A few streetlights were still on, flickering and illuminating the ground intermittently.
There was water on the ground, very shallow, just covering the soles of my shoes.
The color was dark, making it difficult to tell whether it was ordinary water or stained with blood.
The sound of their footsteps echoed through the passageway.
"Be careful." Fukuro Megumi waved his hand, signaling the Jade Dog to go ahead and scout the way.
The jade dog brought its nose close to the water's surface, then raised its head and began to bare its teeth.
"There is the aura of a cursed spirit."
Itadori and Fushiguro Megumi exchanged a glance, nodded, and slowly moved forward.
The further they went, the more polluted the air became, and a fishy smell gradually filled their noses.
The smell was bloody, rotten, and an even more unpleasant fishy stench.
It was like countless fish and shrimp being washed ashore, left unattended for days, leaving behind the smell of massive death and decay.
"It smells awful," said Itarō, rubbing his nose with the back of his hand and looking uncomfortable.
As the two walked forward, the water became increasingly deep, rising from their ankles to their calves.
The reflection on the water's surface shattered into fragments on the ceiling.
Turn a corner.
At the end of the passageway was a damaged commercial plaza.
The square was originally supposed to be a semi-circular food street, but now half of the ceiling has collapsed, and exposed steel bars are sticking out from the ruins.
Overturned tables and chairs and charred signs were scattered on the ground.
In the center of the square, there was a large pile of human remains, forming a small hill. Arms, legs, and torsos were mixed together, with rough and uneven cuts.
Some were gnawed down to bones, with bits of meat still clinging to the broken bones.
