The shop assistant looked up and his professional smile turned warm the moment he saw Gojo Satoru.
"Mr. Gojo, your private room is always available. May I ask how many people are in your party?"
"Gentlemen," Gojo Satoru said, leading Mashiro inside into a small private room.
Although it's not large, the interior decoration is quite unique, with Japanese-style private rooms overlooking the Tokyo night view.
Soft background music was playing in the corner of the private room, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
Gojo Satoru took his coat off his shoulder and draped it over the back of the chair, and Mashiro sat down opposite him.
The clerk placed the menu on the table, and Gojo Satoru flipped through it, tapping between a few lines with his finger.
"Tiramisu, strawberry parfait, and a latte with sugar." He closed the menu and handed it to her, tilting his chin slightly towards Mashiro. "What would you like?"
Mashiro looked at the menu, flipped through a couple of pages, and looked at the various desserts without prices. After hesitating for a while, she ordered two familiar ones.
"Matcha parfait and mango pudding."
The clerk nodded, took the menu, and left.
"It's quite upscale. Do you come here often?" Mashiro looked around.
“Yes, you can just mention my name if you want to eat it next time.” Gojo Satoru nodded.
"Won't it be too sweet?"
Gojo Satoru looked at Mashiro, who seemed a little hesitant, and said, "They'll make it with the normal sweetness level for you. The taste here is more than just worth the price."
While they were talking, dessert was served.
The cocoa powder in the tiramisu was sprinkled evenly, and a thin layer of frosting had formed on the glass of the strawberry parfait.
Gojo Satoru picked up a spoon and scooped up a bite of parfait. After the cream melted in his mouth, he nodded.
"You should try it too, my judgment is never wrong."
Mashiro picked up her spoon.
She scooped up the red bean from the top of the pudding and put it in her mouth, then cut off a small piece of pudding.
The mango had a rich flavor and a smooth texture, so she ate another spoonful.
Gojo Satoru wiped his mouth; he had already eaten half of the parfait.
"Tomorrow morning, Leyan Temple will give a public announcement about the situation in the conference room," said Gojo Satoru.
What kind of excuse will you use?
"The entire senior management was attacked by a cursed spirit during the meeting, but he escaped because he didn't attend."
"It's more reliable than him being the only one who survives in the end."
"Telling the truth always carries more weight."
Mashiro nodded. "You can arrange it."
After saying that, she became engrossed in the dessert again, taking small bites.
......
By the time they finished eating and returned to the college, it was almost ten o'clock.
The office of Moth was lit, and the door was unlocked.
Gojo Satoru reached out and pushed open the door, leading Mashiro inside.
He had already arrived at Leyan Temple. He sat on the sofa and gently picked up a teacup to drink tea.
Moth stood beside the desk, the tea completely cooled down, but he held it in his palm without drinking it. They were waiting for the two men to return.
When the door opened, Moth raised his head, his gaze first falling on Gojo Satoru, then shifting to Mashiro.
He looked the two of them over from head to toe; they were unharmed and even had a faint, sweet scent.
What time is the agreed time?
"Nine o'clock." Gojo Satoru smiled without any embarrassment. "I was worried you wouldn't arrive yet, so I went to treat Mashiro to some dessert first. You don't mind, do you?"
"Cough cough."
“Those trivial matters are irrelevant.” Leyan Temple coughed twice, steer the conversation back on track, “How many high-ranking members are left in the council chamber?”
“Not one left.” Gojo Satoru walked over and sat down on a chair opposite Rakuganji Temple.
He leaned back in the chair, pressing his entire back against it, and stretched his legs out, crossing them at his ankles.
"What should we say to the outside world?"
"A cursed spirit attack! The entire leadership was attacked by a top-tier cursed spirit during the meeting, and no one survived," Mashiro nodded and said.
“The headmaster of Rakuganji Temple is the only survivor. He will report this to the outside world tomorrow.” Gojo Satoru placed his fingers on his abdomen, speaking in the same tone as usual.
Leyan Temple lifted his hands off his knees and placed them on the armrest of the sofa.
He pondered how to mitigate the impact of this incident.
"There can't be no follow-up after the notification; the operation of branches in various regions needs to be resumed immediately. If all the vacancies in senior management and branch heads are not filled within two days, there will be loopholes in the monitoring of cursed spirits and the scheduling of tasks in various regions."
He paused for a moment, then said, "Two of the branch managers are the names you received last time. The rest aren't on the list, but we still need to screen them."
Moth picked up a notebook from her desk and opened it. Two rows of words were listed on the page, some with checkmarks, some with question marks, and some were blank.
He turned the notebook slightly towards Leyan Temple.
“These are the candidates we can nominate from within the Sorcerer's Guild.” Moth placed her pen next to her notebook. “But we don’t have enough nominees to fill all the vacancies, so we need to fill them from other sources.”
"First, we'll screen all the guild members. If we don't have enough, we'll recruit from the existing level one mages," said Gojo Satoru.
“Nominations require review. There are more than twenty vacancies in total, and Leyan Temple cannot review them all by one person.”
Mashiro spoke up, "Then let Gojo Satoru screen the nomination list."

I went out to a banquet today and really didn't have time to write. I'm taking a day off and will only be able to update one chapter. I'll make up for it tomorrow.
Chapter 85 Departure
Gojo Satoru was slightly taken aback by Mashiro's words. "Huh? I'm going too?"
“Don’t be upset, it’ll be quick.” Mashiro looked at him and said, “Just sit there and use your six eyes to see who’s lying.”
Leyan Temple tapped his fingers lightly on the armrest and remained silent for a while.
Six Eyes can efficiently screen out whether someone is lying, and Gojo Satoru is perfect for being on the scene.
"What are the selection criteria?" Moth put down her teacup and asked.
"The primary condition is that they cannot be associated with cursed spirits or curse masters." Mashiro thought for a while, "Let's set the other conditions based on normal values and non-radical thinking."
Seeing the three of them ignoring him and moving on to the next topic, Gojo Satoru sighed.
"Okay, okay, I'll help with the interviews. I can just sit there and watch, right?"
Mashiro walked slowly around the room, thinking for a while.
"While I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to attend an interview if they have problems, if there are special circumstances, you have to protect the other participants."
"Alright, the workload has increased again." Gojo Satoru stretched and yawned. "My rest time is getting even less."
"After the higher-ups have cleaned things up, you won't be as tired as before."
Mashiro walked over, intending to pat his arm, but her hand was blocked by Wuxia, and she slightly raised the corner of her mouth.
When Gojo saw the wheel spinning around Masashiro's head, he smirked and quickly deactivated the "No Limits" mode.
"Oh dear." Mashiro's hand landed smoothly on his arm. She paused for a moment, then said, "Anyway, don't complain anymore. Just consider it the final step in the end."
Seeing Gojo Satoru nod, Rakuganji stood up. "Is it enough to just ask a few questions?"
“That’s enough. Liars can’t hide from Six Eyes,” Gojo Satoru said confidently.
Leyan Temple was silent for a while, then nodded. Night Moth closed the notebook and placed it on the table.
"You can think about the specifics of what to ask in private." After saying that, Mashiro left the office and walked towards her home. "You'll start the screening tomorrow. That's all for today."
"That's right, you two do your best~" Gojo Satoru took his jacket off the back of the chair, draped it over his shoulder, and walked out.
Leyan Temple and Ye'e looked at each other, sighed, and continued to stay up all night to formulate detailed rules and regulations.
……
The next morning, the students from the Kyoto campus gathered downstairs at the dormitory building.
The exchange program is over, and they have to go back to their own schools.
The bus stopped at the door, and the driver had already stuffed the suitcases into the luggage compartment under the bus.
Kamo Kenki stood casually by the car door, Nishimiya Momo leaned against the door with a broom in her arms, yawning, while Sanlun counted the number of people beside them.
People from the Tokyo campus also came to see them off in front of the dormitory building.
Tiger Stick ran down the steps, clutching something in his hand.
He ran up to the tricycle and handed it over, saying, "This is the ball that scored in the last baseball game. Here it is as a souvenir for you."
The tricycle took the wheelchair, paused for a moment, then smiled, "Thank you, we'll win it back at the next exchange meeting."
"Oh! We'll give it our all too, we won't lose!" Itajima grinned.
"You're full of energy! You're a true brother!" Dongtang appeared out of nowhere and patted Huzhang on the shoulder.
"Keep up the same effort you did at the school festival as before!"
"We weren't in the same school before, were we?"
"This kind of thing is completely irrelevant!"
……
"Hahaha." Miwa looked at the two big guys in front of him, silently left, and came to the side of the mechanical ball.
"Is there something you need?" Mechanical Maru asked hesitantly as he looked at the approaching tricycle.
"Oh, I'm sorry to bother you?" The tricycle driver seemed a little flustered and waved his hands repeatedly. "Then I'll go somewhere else."
