"Isn't it because of you?"

Manatsu smiled, her eyes crinkling, and tugged at Yuuki's sleeve.

Seeing Manatsu's expression, Yuuki sighed, swallowed the words of lecture he had intended to give, and changed the subject:

"Why did you rush over to find me in such a hurry?"

He closed the door and went inside first.

"This is the sketchbook I gave you. Didn't you say you lost it?"

Just as Manatsu was about to go in with Yuuki, she spotted the picture book on the counter.

She picked up the picture book and looked at it in front of her.

Yuuki paused, quickly turned back, snatched the picture book from Manatsu's hands, and looked somewhat unnatural.

"This was just an accident."

He coughed lightly, hugged the picture book to his chest, and walked inside: "What's the matter? Come in and we'll talk."

The two entered the main house from the entrance hall; one sat on a chair, and the other on a sofa.

"Why did you suddenly decide to come find me?"

Yu Xing was somewhat puzzled.

"Of course it's because Mr. Guihu said you were in a bad mood."

Manatsu swung her legs and casually patted Yuuki's head.

"What could possibly make me feel bad?"

Yuuki cursed Wu Daogui in his heart, but still smiled on his face.

"You don't need to pretend like this in front of me. I know Yuuki is very vulnerable."

Although Manatsu spent less than a year with Yuuki, she was able to keenly perceive some of Yuuki's thoughts based on the things they went through together.

"I think Yuuki must be struggling with some things right now, not knowing whether she should do them or not."

Manatsu moved closer to Yuuki, taking in all the changes in Yuuki's expression.

So she gently patted Youxing's head reassuringly: "Actually, you don't need to worry about it so much. Just do what you want to do."

"Just like when I first met Youxing."

Manatsu still remembers the day she met Yuuki.

Looking at Yuuki all alone, she didn't think of Yuuki as a lonely evil dragon, but rather as a lapdog forced to leave the pack.

So she warmly extended an invitation to Yuuki.

"No one has ever demanded that Yuuki become a certain way, has they?"

"Can......"

Yuuki lowered her head and stared at her palm.

As Guihu said, he now possesses a different kind of power, a power that could potentially save others, even if that power is an unfortunate one.

He remembered the bloody tears that dripped from the woman's eyes; those tears should never have appeared in this world.

"Yu-shun, things are never absolute in terms of good or bad; they are defined by people."

Manatsu lifted Yuuki's face and looked him in the eye: "Just as I see it, Yuuki has always been amazing and has always worked hard to fight against his fate."

"To me, you have never been the embodiment of calamity that others speak of."

Manatsu had known about Yuuki's unfortunate past for a long time, but she always believed that since they were friends, they should stay together and not be swayed by a few rumors.

That doesn't count as friendship.

"Isn't it precisely because I firmly believe this that Yuuki chose to help me?"

Manatsu took the picture book, and the evil dragon appeared on the paper, its ugly-cute face seemingly raising a slight smile.

"So, Yuuki will definitely continue to fight in the future, right? How could she be a coward?"

If you've chosen to fight, why run away?

Manatsu's words were like a wake-up call. Yuuki stood up and looked at Manatsu with eyes as bright as torches.

"I see!"

He took a deep breath and strode towards the door; he was going to find Wu Daoguihu.

Resisting the use of force won't solve the problem; perhaps only by actively venturing into the vortex can one resolve their own issues.

The door slammed shut, and Manatsu, inside, smiled and flipped through the sketchbook: "It's finally back to how it was before, Yuuki."

The Yuuki who always exudes confidence, who seems invincible, and who always has the courage to fight to the end, is the Yuuki she knows.

Chapter 30 Special Advisor!

Knowing his purpose, Yuuki hurried along. He did not intend to go directly to the old teaching building, but instead went to the World Tree Foundation first.

Upon arriving at the World Tree Foundation, he went straight to the first floor, where he already had the access card in his hand.

"Sir..."

The receptionist asked politely, and Youxing didn't waste any words, showing off her access card.

The row of gilded lettering at the top startled the receptionist, but then her smile became even more genuine.

"Mr. Yu-Xing, please come with me."

She led Youxing quickly inside, where another receptionist took over her duties.

Once inside the conglomerate, Yuuki revealed his destination: "To the conglomerate's special weapons depot."

"Mr. Yuuki, according to regulations, unless there is a mission, under normal circumstances..."

Before the receptionist could finish speaking, Youxing interrupted her directly: "I think no one knows my identity better than you."

Yu Xing's firm attitude caused the receptionist's expression to change slightly, but after remembering the instructions from her superiors, her expression became even more respectful: "Please come with me."

With his privileged identity card, Youxing followed the others to the armory without incident. He glanced at the entire armory, picked up a heavy machine gun with one hand, and took a few grenades with him.

Such immense force filled the receptionist waiting outside with awe; she lowered her head and dared not peek inside again.

"Send a car to take me to the old teaching building."

With a change in mindset, Yuuki is no longer as timid as before when giving orders.

Soon, a car drove out of the World Tree Foundation and quickly headed towards the old teaching building.

Meanwhile, things weren't going well for Wu Daogui and others in the old teaching building.

"Commander, we can no longer break through upwards."

Sitting in the command vehicle, Wu Daogui heard the voices of the frontline personnel through his earpiece. The surveillance footage showed that they were blocked at the entrance of the second-floor corridor of the teaching building.

Compared to before, the cracks expanded even more rapidly after they were discovered. In just a few days, they spread from the fifth floor all the way to the second floor, and countless vines even blocked the stairwell completely.

These new vines are stronger than ordinary ropes, and cannot be cut by a normal blade.

Seeing the difficulties at the front lines, Wu Daogui looked at the belt beside him but still couldn't make up his mind, so he tried a different approach.

"Use fire."

The prepared Molotov cocktails were thrown, and large flames spread throughout the corridor. The intense heat forced all frontline personnel to retreat outside the building.

But the fire had only been spreading for a short time when it quietly went out on its own.

When the people went back in, a small section of the vines had been burned.

Looking at the small patch of ashes, Wu Daogui's face was extremely grim.

He had no idea these vines would be so difficult to deal with; it seemed something new was causing trouble inside the building.

"No way……"

He shuddered as he thought of the high-ranking aliens he had slaughtered within the conglomerate last time.

"That kind of monster, only using this might give us a chance to defeat it..."

Guihu grabbed his belt, while in his other hand he held the melon seed lock he had used last time.

He had some understanding of the power of this armor, and only such power was enough to rival a superior alien.

"Hopefully, such a monster won't appear."

The belt is not yet fully stable, and once he uses it, it may not be able to support him through the entire battle.

If the organization were to disintegrate prematurely, he would probably be finished.

"Continue to use fire attacks and advance repeatedly."

Shaking off the terrifying thoughts in his mind, Guihu gave the order.

As time passed, the path to the third floor was cleared, and a small team quickly poured in.

Like the fifth floor, this place has also been occupied by all kinds of plants from the underworld of Hel.

All light sources were completely blocked by plants, and the dark stairwell inevitably inspired fear.

"Report: No biological traces found."

The team advanced in a triangular formation. The team leader had just finished his report when he discovered that vines had somehow gotten tangled around his feet.

He was about to squat down to examine it more closely when a tremendous force suddenly pulled him down.

"team leader!"

The others only had time to utter a shout before the captain screamed and disappeared into the depths of the corridor.

"Squad one, report!"

Gui Hu naturally heard the scream, and he suddenly stood up from inside the command vehicle, calling out urgently.

But soon, screams rang out one after another, accompanied by sporadic gunshots, and then the earpiece went silent.

"Commander, should we move in?"

When no more messages were received from the first squad through the headset, the second squad leader gripped his gun tightly and spoke slowly.
