Chapter 43 4 Ling Meng Er Leng Wu San Ba (H Ying San sings the song of the lost star)
"Ms. Minato, many people say that Rose Garden's songs can touch people's hearts. What is Rose Garden's creative philosophy?"
On the television, in front of the backdrop of an interview program, a young reporter is passing the question to Nana Minato, who is still a teenager, sitting on the other side of the seat.
Minato scratched her head, revealing a slightly silly, but very sunny and touching smile.
"Is it really appropriate for me to answer this question? Haha, although I am the lead singer, every song we sing is the result of everyone's hard work and is a record of the little things in our lives."
The reporter's lips twitched slightly at Nana Minato's somewhat off-key remarks: "Could you please elaborate, Ms. Minato?"
"Then let my teammates answer? Kuriko, you go first?" Minato Nana turned to her teammates sitting next to her.
"I think the main thing about creating is to convey your own voice. No matter how small your voice is, as long as you can convey it well to your audience, that's enough," Hanzawa Kuriko replied after a moment's thought.
“I think so too. What a song needs isn’t a fancy performance or beautiful lyrics, but the voice that can move them the most.” Platinum Rai raised her hand and shook it.
"Of course, this doesn't mean that the performance and lyrics aren't important to us. Everyone can see our performance level. Although we're not quite mature yet, we're always working hard. The best thing we can do is convey that effort to our audience." Sakura Aiko nodded with her arms crossed.
"Our music is ultimately meant for our listeners. So, when we're creating, we focus on what we want to say and what the audience wants to hear," Tamaki Yuki added.
“That’s it!” Minato Nana squinted her eyes with a smug look on her face. “Every song we sing is about conveying our voices to the audience. To sum it up, it’s about making our voices loud enough for everyone who wants to hear them, everyone we want to reach, to hear them.”
Young Helica blinked, her eyes glued to the television screen, watching the band that seemed to never end.
For some reason, that memory has resurfaced today, even though it's so far in the past.
……
To convey one's own voice, to convey it to the person one wants to convey it to...?
Such things are never that easy.
If this world were a pitch-black night sky, then each person would be an insignificant star in that night sky.
Helica felt that she was just like a star, rushing into this world and then extinguishing just as quickly.
The star is isolated and helpless.
A lone star hangs in the night sky.
One day in the future, the faint light of a star will travel tens of millions of light-years, silently proclaiming its existence before it fades away.
Perhaps this is the cruelty of the starry sky, or perhaps this is its romance.
Perhaps this is why Helica, the Thunder Goddess, gazes at the stars.
The starry sky above Moonsea City was also dim.
Looking at the sparse starry sky, Helica would always think of the last time the two of them sat knee to knee under the stars in another city that wasn't too far away.
I also think back to that not-so-distant past, to the last argument between the two of us.
Connecting the stars in the sky with lines creates constellations.
But Helica could never connect with the person she thought of when she looked up at the stars.
The hand that wants to be reached out cannot be reached, nor can the talisman of destiny that entwines the fingers of the person one longs for.
When gazing at the starry sky, Helica would often think: if she had been more honest and more patient back then, would things have turned out differently?
In truth, everything was preordained; it was a knot that Helica, the Thunder God, could never escape.
It was a knot she tied herself, a knot called fate.
But a knot doesn't necessarily need to be untied.
Cutting it all off with scissors is also a viable option.
Helica had made that choice, but the girl named Fate, whom she wanted to cut ties with, personally tied the same knot, also named Fate, back to her fingertips.
Even these emotions were ones that Helica had once had, gradually forgotten, and now recalled again.
As the two gazed at the starry sky together once more, a unique emotion burst forth from their hearts, transforming into their own voices—a song belonging only to Helica, a song unique to her alone.
"I've finally found the song I want to sing."
Herika's palm was so hot, burning as if it were the passion burning in her heart, making Yuuki Yuuki feel as if all her distracting thoughts had been burned away in that instant.
Herika's words seemed to possess a special magic; from the moment she uttered those words, Yuuki Yuuki's eyes were glued to her.
"So, you have to keep a close eye on me, okay?"
The two faces were so close, so close that they could almost touch each other, so close that if Yuuki Yuki lowered her head slightly, her lips could touch Tenrai Herika's forehead.
But Yuuki Yui didn't want to think about anything else; she just wanted to keep her eyes fixed on the other person, just as Tenrai Herika had said.
Helica's hand was quietly removed, and Yuuki Eri's cheeks began to feel the coolness of water droplets evaporating in the night wind.
Helica's wet hair brushed against Yuuki's knees, and the back of her head, which had been resting on Yuuki's legs, was moved away. Only the marks and water droplets on her legs remained, showing where the girl had lain.
Yuuki Yukino slowly raised her eyes as she watched Tenrai Herika slowly rise from the water.
Amidst the rising steam of the hot spring, Helica slowly rose, seemingly becoming one with the steaming mist, taking one step, two steps, towards the center of the hot spring.
Water droplets slid silently down the curve of Tenrai Herika's body, returning to the hot spring water that only reached above her knees. The subtle sounds of each drop falling into the water seemed to stir the softest part of Yuuki Yuuki's heart along with the night breeze.
Helica, with her back to herself, had her long hair, tied behind her head, cascading down like a golden waterfall, concealing the girl's slender waist.
Although Tenrai Herika was still completely naked, the water droplets on her skin shimmered like stars under the lamplight and moonlight, and her body was partially visible beneath her long hair, which was being tossed by the wind, Yuuki Yuuki was unable to have any extra thoughts about her.
Yuuki Yui simply watched Helica, watching Helica tilt her head back to face the starry sky, take a deep breath of the air carrying the scent of sulfur and the evening breeze, and let out a clear syllable.
The girl's singing voice was simple and pure, without any complicated embellishment, only the most sincere emotions rippling above the hot spring with the water.
"Time flies and cannot be retrieved, but that is not something to be sad about, because I am living in every moment of the present."
"To record every minute and every second, and to chart the path for tomorrow and the future."
“From one place to another, from one story to another, we have spent thousands of nights.”
"Every time before dawn, I would search alone for the direction of the lost stars, and the words that I couldn't help but blurt out were born with tears in my eyes."
"I will keep searching and keep singing until I reach you, who are trembling."
"If it could reach your heart, it could fill the empty space."
Even someone like me, trembling before you, will shout that I am with you.
"Singing the song of the lost star."
Steam from the hot spring swirled among the girls, and their soft singing echoed in the small space.
There were no fancy words, no exaggerated performances, not even any accompaniment; all that existed was Helica's heartfelt, shouting voice.
The singing was completely different from the Heavenly Thunder Helica that Yuuki knew; it was not intense, but even somewhat gentle.
Yuuki Yuuki seemed to see a starry sky, a shooting star streaking across the night sky, blooming in the darkness and pointing the way for her.
It is clearly a song of confusion, clearly a star that has lost its way, yet it has the power to guide lost people out of their confusion.
After the notes faded, everything fell silent again, leaving only the sound of the hot spring water flowing gently in my ears.
However, Yuuki Yuuki could still hear Tenrai Herika's clear singing voice.
Only after Helica finished singing did she slowly turn around, holding the towel in front of her.
"How was my singing?"
Yuuki Yukino was momentarily at a loss for words.
Helica's voice has a unique magic, but that magic and the emotions conveyed in her songs are indescribable.
But Yuuki Yuki guessed that she might never forget this night for the rest of her life.
"Is this the song Helika wrote for everyone?"
“No, that’s not it.” Tenrai Herika shook her head gently, her sparkling eyes reflecting Yuuki Yuuki’s image.
"This is a song I wrote for you, a song that exists only for you."
Chapter 44 The hot spring exploded again!
"First question: What comes to mind when you think of red fruit?"
Wearing a bathrobe provided by the hot spring, Herika knelt barefoot on the tatami mat in the room and began asking questions of everyone.
Upon hearing the question, the girls immediately lay down on the ground and began writing furiously on the whiteboard in front of them with markers.
"Alright! Time's up!" Helica tapped the ground, then held up the whiteboard in her hand: "Apple!"
“Mine is cherry,” Sakura Hanako then raised her sign.
Next was Lin Jiezi: "Grass, strawberry."
“Cherry tomatoes.” Mizuno Yu also raised her whiteboard.
Nishio Reki held up the whiteboard with both hands: "Dragon Fruit."
"Watermelon." Inuyama Tomoe shook the sign, then whispered to Yuuki Yukino, who was sitting next to her and hadn't raised her sign yet, "What's going on this time?"
"Everyone was very tired after soaking in the hot spring, so we planned to play some games to relax before resting. Apparently, this method can help everyone connect their thoughts," Yuuki Yukino explained to Baqi with a smile.
"Then why is that short, blond guy hosting?" Baqi pouted.
"Who knows?" Yuuki Yuuki answered softly.
"Hey! No whispering or comparing answers! And watermelons aren't red, are they?" Helica tapped the whiteboard.
Baqi pouted: "Isn't it red after it's cut open?"
“Alright, even so! Yuuki Yukino! You haven’t answered yet.” Helica pointed at Yuuki Yukino with the pen in her hand.
“My answer is bell pepper.” Only then did Yuuki Yui, whose name had been called, raise the board in her hand.
"Then it's not even fruit anymore!" Helica kicked the ground twice in dissatisfaction. "Never mind! Next question! What comes to mind when Nijisanji is mentioned?"
The girls hurriedly took back the whiteboard, erased the writing on it, and started writing on it again.
Helica was the first to hold up the sign: "Magical Girl!"
Yuuki Yukino followed closely behind: "The band."
Sakura Hanako: "The seniors are all very amazing."
Lin Jiezi: "Lunch."
Mizuno Yu: "Volunteer club".
