Lawson knew this.
He was committed to the main combat force.
Forty-six White Tiger powered armored vehicles. Eight thousand platoon-level soldiers. One thousand company-level soldiers.
More than 9,000 elite combatants, transformed into dozens of steel torrents, advanced synchronously from various anchor points of the warships.
"Blood sacrifice to the Blood God! Skull offering to the skull seat!"
On the mid-deck of the Tyrant-class cruiser, the roar of the World Eater drowned out the rumble of the ship's engines.
Company Commander Kargos went completely berserk.
He ordered the tens of thousands of mutated warriors and subterranean slaves on the ship to be driven to the front of the passage. He didn't expect these cannon fodder to kill the enemy. He wanted to use the flesh and bones of these 90,000 men to block the gun barrels of the suicide squads, to deplete the enemy's ammunition, and to pave a path to bloodshed.
Driven by the bombs fired by the supervisory team, countless mutated warriors surged toward the suicide squad's line like a tidal wave.
The suicide squad has transformed into the most ruthless and violent driving force.
Ahead of the passage, a wall of shields stood tall. Behind them, platoon-level assassins, armed with heavy explosive rifles, maintained a constant firing rate.
The bomb exploded in the crowd, creating flowers of blood and flesh. Limbs and entrails littered the metal floor, and blood pooled into ankle-deep rivers of blood.
The corpses of the mutated warriors were piled up like mountains, almost blocking the passage.
The suicide squad continued their advance, stepping over mountains of corpses.
Footsteps and the roar of exploding bombs mingled together. Slaughtering the mutated warriors was as easy as slicing melons and chopping vegetables.
The attrition of cannon fodder finally created an opportunity for the veteran Devourer to engage in close combat.
Dozens of enormous, scarlet figures burst forth from the top of the passage, the side ventilation ducts, and behind the pile of corpses.
The World Devourer Veteran.
Wielding chainsaw axes and drawing upon millennia of killing experience, they pounced on the ranks of assassins like mad dogs unleashed from their cages.
They were greeted by forty-five White Tiger Power Armored Tanks.
Jia Yi stood at the very front. The master-level power sword in his hand emitted a bright blue force field.
A veteran of the World Eater class leaped out from the side, his chainsaw axe whistling as it cleaved at Jia Yi's neck at a tricky angle.
This powerful strike was enough to cut through the terracotta armor of a regular Space Marine.
A's actions defied common sense.
He didn't raise his sword to block, nor did he even retreat.
He shifted slightly to the side, taking a half-step to the left front. His body grazed the edge of the chainsaw axe's serrated edge.
In that fraction of a second when the veteran Devourer had exhausted his old strength and had not yet generated new strength, the power sword of the first-class warrior precisely pierced through the gap in the armor under the veteran's armpit.
Stir. Pull out.
A vibrant heart was utterly shattered.
The White Tiger Death Squad's movements contained the combat experience of Valentine, the Chaos Lord of ten thousand years.
Valentine was once an extremely skilled melee master. The World Eater's wide-ranging attacks, attack animations, and power generation habits were as transparent as a textbook to the White Tiger Death Squad.
Combining the zero-latency computing power coordination of swarm intelligence, the White Tiger assassins achieved perfect teamwork.
Just as one of the World Eaters raised his weapon, two White Tiger Power Armor suits beside him blocked his escape route, and a third White Tiger Armor suit's explosive gun accurately blew his knee joint apart.
In one-on-one combat, the White Tiger Assassins' melee skills are far superior to the World Devourers'.
In a many-on-many situation, the micro-management of swarm intelligence completely crushed these individualistic madmen.
The company commander-level suicide squad followed closely behind.
They lacked power armor, but with the protection of their heavy shields, they became the White Tiger Death Squad's strongest support.
When the White Tiger Death Squad is entangled with the World Devourer, the company commander-level Death Squad will rush forward without hesitation, using their shields to ram the enemy and their bodies to block the enemy's weapons, creating an opportunity for the White Tiger Death Squad to kill them in one blow.
Inside the passage, one World Devourer veteran after another fell.
Their prized close-quarters combat skills have been transformed here into a teaching exercise, a one-sided dissection of their fighting prowess.
Finally, the terrifying presence deep within the battlefield was forced out of the shadows.
Accompanied by the heavy sound of footsteps shattering the bulkhead, the World Eater Company Commander Kargos and his adjutant stepped into the main passage.
They were equipped with rare and massive Ironclad Terminator power armor.
This relic from the Great Crusade era boasts defensive capabilities far exceeding those of conventional power armor. The force field generators on its shoulders gleam with a dark blue light, forming a visible deflection shield.
Kargos's demon chainsaw axe, "Flesh Thirster," roared madly.
With a single axe strike, he smashed a Storm Shield in front of him, along with the company commander-level assassin behind it, into a bloody pulp.
The force field shield easily deflected the incoming bombs from the surrounding area.
These two Terminators, like two heavy tanks, forcefully tore through the suicide squad's defenses.
"Get out of here, you scum!" Kargos roared, the Butcher's Nail crackling wildly in his mind.
A spatial rift suddenly appeared above the battlefield.
Lawson himself descended.
He was wearing the Tiger King armor, which had been reforged from living metal.
He was carrying the master-level power sword that he had seized from Valentine.
Behind him, six shadow wheels shaped from living metal were spinning at supersonic speeds, emitting a shrill sound that cut through the air.
Thirty company commander-level suicide soldiers raised their storm shields, forming an impenetrable iron barrel formation, tightly separating and surrounding the Terminator adjutant on the other side of the passage.
They did not seek to kill the enemy, but only to starve them to death.
The main battleground was left to Losen and Kargos.
Kargos kicked a corpse away, his bloodshot eyes fixed on Lawson's imposing Tiger King armor.
He recognized him as the enemy commander.
"You're the rat hiding its head and tail! Hand over your skull!"
Kargos, like a charging rhinoceros, smashed through the floor and crashed into Lawson.
The massive demonic chainsaw axe swept out, tearing the air apart and creating a deafening sonic boom.
The engines of the Lawson Tiger King armor roared to full power, and instead of retreating, he charged forward, crashing head-on into the Terminator's charge.
The power sword and the chainsaw axe clashed violently together.
boom!
The shockwave shattered all the metal pipes on both sides of the channel, and high-pressure steam gushed out.
The Terminator armor has the advantage in weight and power.
Lawson's body slid backward three meters, his boots carving two deep furrows in the floor.
"Not bad in strength, but too stupid." A cruel smile curled at the corner of Lawson's lips.
Kargos roared and raised his axe again.
The six shadow wheels that were hovering behind Lawson were instantly launched.
The supersonic spinning metal disc drew six silver trails in mid-air, simultaneously cutting towards the weak points of Calgos's armor from different angles.
Ding!Ding!Ding!
The Shadow Wheel slashed at the Terminator armor's helmet and neck, but was firmly blocked by the shimmering deflector field shield.
Sparks flew as the shadow wheel was thrown back by the enormous rebound force and hovered in the air.
"Fancy acrobatics! You think this shoddy stuff can break through my defenses?"
Kargos laughed wildly; the stimulation of the Butcher's Nail made him feel no fear, only the desire to tear his enemies apart.
He strode forward, ready to cut Lawson in two.
Lawson sneered.
"Who told you this is for breaching defenses?"
The six shadow wheels suspended in the air instantly changed shape. Their originally steel-hard molecular structure instantly disintegrated under the control of Lawson's psionic energy.
The six frisbees transformed into pools of silvery liquid metal.
Living metal.
The liquid, living metal, like a venomous snake, lunged precisely at Kargos's helmet.
Before Calgos could react, the silver metallic mud was smeared directly onto the Terminator's menacing brass helmet.
Like maggots clinging to the bone, they spread wildly along the gaps and breathing grates on the helmet's surface, completely covering and sealing off the optical visor on the front of the helmet in a fraction of a second.
Subsequently, the liquid metal hardened rapidly, transforming into a solid physical seal.
Calgos's vision was instantly plunged into absolute darkness.
"Damn bug trick!"
Kargos roared, clenching his left fist and slamming it down on his mask, trying to smash the metal.
But the toughness of the living metal far exceeded his expectations; the heavy blow only left a shallow fist mark on it, which then automatically recovered.
Calgos did not completely panic.
As a veteran of thousands of years, he knew exactly how powerful the Terminator armor's internal integrated systems were.
The Terminator helmet houses a highly sophisticated array of automated senses.
Even though the external optical eyepieces are physically blocked, the armor's neck and shoulder armor conceal miniature ornithometers, thermal imaging scanners, and sonar echo detectors.
Veterans can close their eyes and, through tactical projections on the retina inside their helmets, clearly see all living beings within a 300-meter radius that emit heat and have heartbeats.
This is a second pair of eyes that technology has given them.
Not only that.
As fanatical followers of Khorne, when their physical senses fail, their inner senses open in the subspace.
They can see the life-giving light emanating from the souls of the living, and can clearly smell the fear and the sweet, metallic scent of the enemy's blood.
