Warhammer: Empire Reboot

The horde of plague walkers has already overwhelmed the ruins of the second line of defense and is beginning to assault the foundations of the third wall.
Hundreds of thousands of gray-green bodies were piled together, forming a living ramp with flesh and bones.
The travelers behind climbed up, stepping on the corpses of their comrades, their rotten fingernails scraping against the concrete wall with a grating sound.
"Fire."
Seth's orders were as cold as steel.
The remaining heavy weapons on the city wall roared in unison.
Heavy explosive cannon, multi-melting laser cannon, storm cannon.
All the guys who could still fire were unleashing a deluge of ammunition.
The bombs exploded in the horde of zombies, tearing apart ring after ring of travelers.
The laser beam burned through more than a dozen bodies before losing its kinetic energy. The barrage of bullets from the storm cannons flattened the entire climbing slope by two layers.
But the horde of zombies continues to surge in.
Behind the horde of zombies, the Death Guard's heavily armored infantry began their signature slow advance.
Because they could hear the intensity of the fire from the city walls decreasing.
First, the storm cannon went silent, and the ammunition drum was empty.
Then the two heavy explosive cannons on the left flank stopped, locked due to overheating, and the spare coolant had run out two weeks ago.
The multi-melting laser cannon on the right flank was still roaring, but its rate of fire had dropped to one-third of normal.
The energy battery is about to become unusable.
Seth watched all of this without any change in his expression.
The colossal shadow of the Great Impure One cast a shadow over the fortress.
Its 18-meter-tall, rotting body blocked out half the sky. It lowered its head, its gigantic face, covered in maggots and pustules, looking down at the defenders on the city wall.
It smiled.
The laughter caused a quarter of the Astragalus soldiers below the city walls to vomit on the spot.
The defenses are crumbling.
The horde of plague walkers finally built a slope higher than the city walls with their blood and flesh.
The gray-green bodies surged in from the top of the slope like a swarm of ants, pouring into the inner side of the third line of defense.
The Astronaut soldiers discarded their laser guns, which were now out of power, drew their bayonets, and met the rotting bodies that had climbed over the wall in the most primitive way.
An Astronaut sergeant plunged a bayonet into the eye socket of a Plaguewalker.
The traveler did not fall; his broken finger bones gripped the sergeant's throat.
The sergeant twisted the hilt of his knife with all his might, shattering the pilgrim's skull and splattering his brains all over his face. Before he could even wipe his eyes, a second pilgrim pounced.
The Astartes, the Flesh-Tearers, formed the last line of defense inside the city walls.
Chainsaw swords, power gauntlets, combat daggers, and even bare hands.
The crimson armor was covered in rotting flesh and pus, and the serrated blades of the chainsaw sword were corroded to almost nothing, but each flesh-tearer continued to kill.
Third Company Commander Arian used his broken sword to slash into the gap of a Plague Space Marine's collar, and got it stuck.
Arian released his grip and swung his steel fist, smashing the opponent's visor.
But the gap is getting bigger and bigger.
More and more enemies are pouring in.
At the top of the city wall, Gabriel Seth felt the last shackle in his blood loosening.
Black Fury.
Seth stopped trying to fix it.
He gripped the chainsaw sword tightly, his toes slightly leaning forward at the edge of the city wall.
The body's center of gravity begins to shift forward.
He wanted to jump off the city wall and plunge into that gray-green hell.
He will kill everything that is alive in front of him.
Then he died there.
The instant Seth's toes left the city wall.
A hand descended from the sky and landed on his right shoulder.
He was forcefully pushed back onto the city wall, his feet crushing the concrete railing beneath his feet.
The illusion of black fury shattered for a moment under the impact of this attack.
Seth turned around.
An unfamiliar Astartes stood behind him.
The gray-white armor was emblazoned with a golden double-headed eagle and a white tiger emblem.
A pair of eyes looked calmly at Seth.
"It's not your time to die yet."
Seth's reason was engaged in a final tug-of-war with his black fury, and his mind was a complete mess.
"Who are you."
Before he could finish his question, Seth caught a glimpse of the change happening beneath the city walls out of the corner of his eye.
More people have joined the front line.
A lot of people.
Giants clad in gray-white power armor poured in through the breach in the city wall, forming a tight shield wall of three men per group.
The terracotta storm shields erected a gray steel wall in front of them, with heavy explosive muskets protruding from the gaps between the shields.
The first line of shields had just closed when the Plague Walkers rushing into the breach were stopped.
Nearly four hundred grey-white Astartes filled all the gaps in the third line of defense in less than thirty seconds.
The Terminator stands at the node of the shield wall, holding a giant battle axe.
Two Plague Space Marines attempted to breach the shield wall from the flank, but were cleaved in two by the Terminator's axe.
Then more soldiers emerged from behind the breach.
These people were not wearing power armor.
Gray combat suit, heavy explosive shotgun.
Tens of thousands of people were arrayed.
They deployed a fire net behind the shield wall.
The quadruple-mounted heavy explosive cannon was set up on top of the ruins, and it began firing before the barrel was even fully leveled.
The barrage of bullets swept outwards from the breach in the city wall, shredding the plague walkers who were climbing the slope in rows.
More quadruple guns were set up at various points along the defensive line.
Thirty thousand gray warriors constructed a complete crossfire network in less than three minutes, unleashing a deluge of ammunition as if it were free.
Reinforcements have arrived.
I don't know where it came from, or what its serial number is.
But damn it, reinforcements have arrived.
Seth's blood was still boiling, but the illusion of black fury had been mostly shattered by that palm strike.
He's not ready to die yet. The stranger is right.
Seth turned around, ready to ask this unfamiliar Astartes who he was.
But that person was no longer on the city wall.
Seth suddenly looked up.
He saw a figure launch into the air from the top of the city wall, with a pair of silver metal wings unfolding behind it.
The man flew straight toward the Great Impure One.
"Damn, he's even crazier than me," Seth cursed.
Lawson slowed down and hovered at an altitude of 300 meters.
He looked down at the battlefield below.
The Great Impure One is unlike any of the enemies he has ever encountered before.
The Khorne Demon Skragag, despite its larger size and more terrifying attack power, has a "hard" body structure.
Bones, muscles, and armor all have clearly defined stress points and weak points.
Wings are a weakness, joints are a weakness.
A living metal chain can trap it, but a railgun can blast it apart.
The body of the great impure one is a lump of flesh.
From head to toe, it was a mass of fat, pus, and demonic flesh formed from tens of thousands of years of corrupted energy.
If you cut off a piece, it will grow back.
Cut off one layer, and there are ten more layers underneath.
It's a mountain of flesh.
What's the use of a living metal chain? Where is it locked? The steel cable gets swallowed up by the fat layer.
The Great Impure One sensed Lawson's presence.
It stopped and slowly turned its huge head, which was covered with maggots and pustules, to look up.
Its mouth split open in a grin.
