Warhammer: Empire Reboot

Tiny rust spots appeared on the outer shell of the machine.
The gears on the turret base began to heat up rapidly.
Subsequently, the crack widened.
Hordes of vampires descended from the sky.
They were like a sea of blood being poured out. The first wave of demons crashed into the surface defenses, breaking leg bones and shattering skulls, only to rise again within seconds, grabbing brass blades from the ground and continuing their charge.
The second batch followed closely behind.
The third batch fell on top of the second batch.
After that, it became impossible to count.
The northern surface of Agrippina's main star is covered as if by a flowing red blanket.
The demons advanced with claws, teeth, and axes, crushing the backs of their own kind and trampling over still-twitching flesh, all to get closer to the imperial defenses.
On track, the foundational sequence transmits observation images to the main control sanctuary.
The T-001 quickly provided a battlefield assessment.
"The length of the crack is 1,074 kilometers."
"The depth of the breaches in the barriers of reality continues to increase."
"The enemy unit density exceeds that of a typical demon invasion model."
"The number of people affected by the first wave is impossible to count."
"Estimated unit: tens of millions."
Lawson stood in front of the control panel, looking at the blood-red wound on the planet's projection.
The red color is spreading.
In the surface footage, the brass fangs on the vampire's face are clearly visible on the Guardians of the Faith.
The automatic guns of the first row of mechs began to warm up, but their muzzles were locked by the swarm network.
The demon horde crashed into the first consumption threshold.
Agrippina is a pure metal-cast primary star that is even larger than Terra.
In a normal war, covering such a planet would require a fleet blockade, landing craft, air superiority, ground supply lines, and a war of attrition that would last for years.
Khorne doesn't talk about these things.
He will overwhelm Agrippina with sheer numbers.
He doesn't care whether a city is captured or a factory is destroyed. His logic is more brutal, letting demons cover the earth, filling every mine shaft, every furnace, and every fortress with flesh and blood.
No matter how efficient Lawson's killing is, as long as there are enough of them, he will be dragged into a never-ending battlefield.
Looking at the ever-expanding red light on the star map, Lawson issued an order.
"All-Star Defense Line enters the third agreement."
T-001 confirmed immediately.
"The third protocol is activated."
"Ten million nodes in the cornerstone sequence are connected to the fire control system."
"The Guardian Army and the Servant Legion have entered the first consumption layer."
"The Xiongwei Heavy Armor Company is assembling below the rift."
"Knight mechs and warhound Titans are on standby in their respective zones."
Lawson raised his hand, and one hundred and eight shadow wheels unfolded behind him.
"I'll go to the front."
The next moment, the static force field was activated.
Losen appeared over the fourth furnace belt in the north of Agrippina.
This is the closest point to the crack.
The earth's surface has become a meat grinder.
The first line of defense consisted of the Christian Guard and the machine gunners.
They were welded to a semi-fixed gun mount, with the ammunition chain connected to the chest cavity, and the arms replaced with heavy logging saws, hot melt nozzles, and automatic cannons.
The Guardians stood behind the machine gunners, carrying Arc Rifles on their shoulders, chanting the battle prayer of Om Messiah.
They are not part of Lawson's core forces.
They are the gates.
The tsunami crashed into the first floodgate.
The automatic cannon fires.
The heavy bomb swept across the ground, turning the front row of vampires into pieces.
The hot-melt nozzles emitted white light, incinerating a large group of demons into charred remains. Arcs of electricity from the arc rifle leaped along the brass weapon, causing hordes of demons to convulse and fall.
But there are too many of them.
As soon as the first row fell, the vampires behind them pounced on the corpses of their own kind.
The cannon barrel overheated, and the mechanical arm of the servant began to melt. A member of the Guardians was pounced on by the flesh-and-blood hounds, his breastplate ripped open in the next second. His comrades nearby offered no aid, only lowering the cannon muzzle and wiping the man and the hound to pieces.
A gun emplacement was destroyed by the Bloodthirsty Cavalry.
The cavalryman charged into the position, horse and rider, his brass spear piercing through three machine guns. Just as it raised its head, a golden streak swept across the sky.
The shadow wheel flew close to the ground.
The head of the Blood Crusher, the neck bone of his mount, and the waists of more than fifty Bloodletters behind him were severed in a straight line.
Lawson hangs two hundred meters in the air, looking down at the ground.
One hundred and eight golden flame shadow wheels scattered.
There are too many demons, and a net-like cutting technique would waste a lot of space. The key to dealing with this sea of blood is not showing off your skills, but making sure that every inch of your flight path passes through the most targets.
Swarm intelligence provides a surface density map.
Lawson directly changed the mode.
The 108 shadow wheels are divided into 12 groups, with 9 wheels in each group.
The nine shadow wheels no longer hunted independently, but instead formed a horizontal cutting line. The twelve cutting lines, like twelve moving guillotines, pushed back and forth across the densest part of the demon tsunami.
The first guillotine cuts off the head.
The second cut is on the waist.
The third knee-cutting.
The nine enlarged wounds that followed were piled up to create a barrier of corpses.
Lawson didn't want them all killed immediately.
He wants to create a wall of corpses in front of the demon tide.
Vampires are fearless, but they have physical forms. A pile of corpses alters their advance path. Disordered paths cause demons behind them to crowd each other. Higher density makes artillery fire more effective.
Within thirty seconds, the first wall of corpses took shape.
Hundreds of thousands of demon limbs were piled up on the outer edge of the mining area, and subsequent demons were forced to slow down when they stepped on them.
The next second, Agrippina's surface opened up.
It was not that the gun emplacements were raised.
Instead, the mining area collapsed.
Lawson did not build the defensive line on flat ground. Three days ago, he had the T-series suicide soldiers and the Keystone sequence modify the surface two hundred kilometers below the rift, connecting old mines, abandoned transport tunnels, and underground slag channels to the battlefield.
As the surface support pillars were remotely blasted, tens of square kilometers of metal slabs collapsed simultaneously. The vanguard of the demon horde, along with the wall of corpses, fell into the ground.
The space below is not hollow.
It is a sea of slag.
The smelting waste liquid, heavy metal slag, and high-temperature cooling pools that Agrippina had accumulated over thousands of years were temporarily transferred here by Lawson.
The flesh-and-blood demon crashed in, creating a series of explosions.
Vampires can fight in fire, but they cannot maintain formation in molten metal slag at hundreds of degrees Celsius. As soon as they climb out, they are swept back by the machine gun fire that has been set up on the pit walls.
The sound of T-001 reached Lawson's ears.
"The first pit has been filled and drained."
"Estimated number of units annihilated: 470,000."
"The rate of crack release has not decreased."
Lawson looked up at the sky.
More demons are falling.
They are like an endless red waterfall, pouring into reality from a thousand-kilometer-long chasm.
Skull cannons began to appear.
One by one, brass cannons were pushed down from the rift by the demons. The muzzles spun, firing not cannonballs, but burning heads. Those heads fell into the defensive line, exploding into bloody shockwaves that disrupted the nerve interfaces of the Guardians of the Faith.
"The skull cannon is within range."
"Hand it over to the track."
Lawson did not turn around.
Agrippina is on low orbit; six warships are adjusting their angles.
Traditional rail bombing is difficult to use in areas with dense friendly forces. Even a slight error can tear apart both friendly and enemy lines.
The fire control system of the cornerstone sequence does not have this problem.
They calculate demon density, wind speed, shell descent time, ground vibration, and gaps in friendly formations, using the macro cannon like a scalpel.
