The dark silver alloy reflected a cold, faint light under the helmet's spotlight.
Every seam is so precise it looks like it was cut from a mathematical formula.
Team A1527 was at the very front.
His helmet visor illuminated the ground.
The corridor was covered with countless flat, oval-shaped metal fragments.
The Tomb Scarab.
Their limbs stiffened and curled up, and all the eerie green energy nodes went out. After the living metal lost its activity, it solidified into a deathly gray inert substance.
Under normal circumstances, when these constructs suffer fatal damage, they will trigger phase teleportation and return to the main tomb for repairs.
But not a single wreckage has disappeared here.
Swarm intelligence can make a judgment within 0.3 seconds.
This outpost was once swallowed by a warp rift.
The main network coordinates were completely severed.
Phase transmission failed.
External energy supply cut off.
The maintenance worker shut down the machine.
The patrol system is down.
"Disperse the ten teams."
"Investigate first, then don't open the coffin."
"Confirm the number of hibernation pods."
"Confirm the status of the energy core."
"Confirm the location of the phase relay tower."
"High-ranking units have been discovered. Unauthorized contact is strictly prohibited."
More than a thousand assassins immediately dispersed.
Different factions' paint schemes were mixed together in the darkness.
The white cross in the black sanctuary.
Blood drops from the Holy Blood Angel.
The blue shoulder armor of the Ultramariner.
The red battle markings of the Flesh Tearer.
Under the swarm intelligence framework, they are like parts in the same machine that have been temporarily disassembled and repainted.
Twelve minutes later, the first hibernation pod was discovered.
Forty space necromancers lay neatly beneath the semi-transparent canopy.
An oversized metal skull.
Triangular eye sockets.
Complex circuits and micro-mechanical units are embedded in the thoracic cavity.
If they fully awaken, these thousand-plus assassins will not have an easy time.
"Release waste."
A murky mist, a mixture of dark red and dark green, appeared out of nowhere above the cabin.
Subspace waste spread rapidly.
Beneath the hatch, the eye sockets of the first undead warrior glowed faintly.
The resurrection protocol was triggered by an abnormal stimulus.
But in the next instant, the underlying logic of the living metal encountered unrecognizable chaotic impurities.
The protocol reported an error.
Logical conflict.
The system freezes upon restarting.
"Open the coffin."
The hot-melt explosive tube was simultaneously attached to the edge of the hatch cover.
A flash of white light.
The sealing structure was cut open.
The assassins, working in pairs, opened the hatch and precisely pierced the chest cavity between the third and fourth ribs with their power swords and chainsaws.
The sound of crystal shattering rang out one after another.
The core of the imprint shattered.
The green light went out.
Just as the silver living metal was about to liquefy and dissipate, it was forcibly intercepted by the system.
[Special resource detected: Dimensional Anchor Fragment.]
Special resource detected: living metal.
"Repeated process".
A cabin.
Ten cabins.
One hundred cabins.
The necromancer is not weak.
They were simply disconnected from the network, power, and phase transmission, and then, in the most vulnerable regeneration phase, they were stuck by subspace debris at the moment of startup.
Occasionally, the restart progress of a heavily armored immortal will reach over 70%.
A sudden burst of green light appeared in his triangular eye sockets.
His fingers were already gripping the Gauss weapon.
The next instant, four power swords pierced through his chest cavity simultaneously.
The core shattered.
Deep within the tomb, the real counterattack finally unfolds.
A beam of eerie green light pierced through the three-story wall, vaporizing the six assassins along with half a corridor.
Swarm intelligence instantly pinpoints the source.
Central maintenance pool.
The Broken Wild Scorpion Lord.
It was not a fully awakened dynastic war machine, but rather a wrecked body dragged back to the repair pool after an ancient war.
Its lower body is still locked in the maintenance rack.
Only two of the scorpion's four legs are still movable.
The Gaussian cut array on the back is incomplete.
Even so, its single shot still proved how terrifying the space necromancer was.
"suppress."
Thirty White Tiger Armors stepped out of the static force field, and the Storm Shield slammed into the ground to form a wall.
The twelve bear guards then squeezed into the main corridor.
The massive, over four-meter-tall structure advanced forward, its shield supporting the fortress tower.
The second Gaussian beam struck the tower shield.
The force field flickered violently.
The bear guard at the forefront had half of his shoulder armor melted, and his flesh was broken down by Gauss, leaving charred pits, yet he stubbornly refused to retreat.
The T-series assassin's robotic arm inserted into the maintenance tank control panel, forcibly cutting off the external power supply to the remains.
Subspace waste was directly poured into the maintenance pool.
The green light in the Scorpion Lord's eyes instantly became disordered.
Xiong Wei crashed into it.
The tower shield shattered the scorpion's legs.
The power hammer smashed through the shoulder armor.
The White Tiger assassins charged in from both sides, using thermal melting to cut open the chest and abdominal protective plates.
Jia 1527 leaped onto the maintenance rack and plunged the power sword into the main core.
"broken."
The core exploded.
The massive metal wreckage lost itself, and silver liquid flowed along the repair rack, only to be swallowed up by the system without a single drop remaining.
Lawson's attention, however, had already moved past it and was now fixed on the center of the tomb.
There stands a damaged phase relay tower.
The tower is 100 meters tall, its body is dilapidated, and a large number of dark silver crystal clusters have formed around its base.
For 60 million years, it has been trying to reconnect to the main tomb network.
Every failure leaves behind dimensional anchoring remnants.
Ordinary undead are a bonus.
