Xiong Wei smashed open the main door of the workshop.

As Lawson stepped in, three demonic engines were roaring.

The shadow blade flew out.

One thousand and eighty-one silver-black blades unfolded in the workshop.

Cut the joints, drive shaft, outer restraint chains of the demon core, and cockpit.

The first demon engine had its legs severed, fell to the ground, and had its core shattered by the Bear Guard Warhammer.

The second one attempted to spew flames, but the Suanni Golden Fire rebounded and burned through its throat.

Just as the third demon was about to self-destruct, Lawson's psionic energy suppressed its demonic core, and his Shadow Blade pierced through, shattering the low-level demons bound within.

The workshop returned to quiet.

The T-sequence was entered, and the reactor core was removed for debugging.

The remaining large equipment was marked for loading onto the ship.

The Great Whirlpool, Day Three.

Huron finally received the complete message.

Three incomplete signals, traveling along different paths, managed to catch up with his fleet.

The first one comes from the Wasteland Star City.

"The eastern fort has fallen...the warehouse has been emptied..."

The second one comes from the Red Bone Market.

"The ransom vault has fallen... The Red Pirate leader is dead... Lawson is clearing the area..."

The third one comes from a dark mechanical cult warehouse.

"Dark Workshop attacked...Technology Casket stolen...Teleportation screen...Large numbers of Imperial soldiers..."

When the three signals were combined on the communication station of the subspace hunting fleet, the entire bridge fell silent.

This silence is more terrifying than a roar.

Even the warp wizards on the bridge lowered their heads.

After a long while, Huron asked, "How far are we from the Great Whirlpool?"

The navigator's voice was dry.

"According to the tracking route, it has already left the core storm zone of the vortex by fifteen standard days."

"Go back?"

"If we turn back immediately, considering the storm window, fleet regrouping, subspace turbulence, and interference from the impurities released by Lawson, it will take at least... sixteen to twenty-one standard days."

Huron closed his eyes.

fifteen days.

The whirlpool is being robbed.

But he can't go back.

The Ghost of Destruction is bait.

The whirlpool is flesh.

Lawson lured him out, then turned back and raided his house.

This method is despicable, ruthless, and precise.

Huron even felt a twisted irony in his anger.

He robbed countless people throughout his life.

They plundered ships, goods, planets, slaves, Mechanicus relics, and ransom money from nobles.

Now, someone with an even bigger hand has snatched it from his head.

"overlord……"

An officer spoke cautiously.

"Should we return to provide support immediately?"

Huron was filled with an intense, almost black, murderous intent.

"Back."

"The entire fleet turns around."

"Abandon the pursuit of the Destroyer Ghost?"

The officer knew he was wrong as soon as he said those words.

Huron glanced at him.

The officer's head was crushed by the iron claws the next second.

"We did not give up."

Huron threw the corpse aside.

"The Ghost of Destruction is mine."

"The vortex is mine too."

“No matter how much Lawson took, I will make him vomit it back in blood.”

"Now, go back."

The order was given, and the hunting fleet immediately fell into chaos.

Many pirates were unwilling to turn back.

They have been chasing them for fifteen days.

The trail of the Destroyer Ghost is somewhere ahead.

The reward is still up.

The opportunity to make money doesn't seem to have completely disappeared.

If we go back to the Great Vortex now, we might only see the ruins left after the looting.

Some small boats began to delay.

Some black market fleets attempted to quietly disengage.

Several desperados continued to follow the trail of the Destroyer Ghost, attempting to catch up with the flagship before Huron gave up.

Huron did not offer any advice.

He ordered the main force of the Red Pirates to bombard the three nearest escape ships.

The three ships were instantly turned into fireballs.

"Anyone who disobeys this order will be executed along with the entire ship."

This was barely enough to keep the fleet under control.

Being able to suppress it does not equate to being efficient.

The pirate fleet turned, unlike the swarm of bees that turned in Lawson.

The relaying of orders, arguments, threats, firing cannons, recalculating course, gathering lagging ships, and forcing the Dark Mechanic navigators to connect to new routes all take time.

Time is exactly what Lawson needs.

The Great Whirlpool, Day Four.

Lawson continued to snatch the ball.

More than 300 pirate ships in good condition began to be taken over one by one.

The ships did not pursue Huron for various reasons.

Some are under repair.

For example, the twelve and a half repaired frigates in the Black Tooth Lake area have not yet had their propulsion systems installed and their Geller force fields have not passed testing, so they naturally cannot pursue them.

Some are heavy-duty transport ships.

They were loaded with ore, slaves, ammunition, and fuel, and were too slow to catch up with the Ghost of Destruction; Huron didn't even bother with them.

Some are garrison ships.

The Star City defense system cannot be completely abandoned, so a number of armed gunboats, frigates, and patrol ships were left behind.

Some were illegal merchant ships and privateers.

The ship owner felt that chasing Huron's flagship was too risky, so he decided to stay in the whirlpool and observe.

Some are notorious opportunists.

They were both afraid of Huron and eager to see him suffer, so they deliberately delayed their departure.

In some cases, the Losen Lurkers intervened beforehand, making it "temporarily impossible for them to pursue."

Thruster malfunction.

The navigation certificate was delayed.

The fuel was diverted.

Crew members fighting.

The captain was temporarily detained by the Red Pirates.

Twelve days ago, these were just minor troubles.

Now, these reasons have become the justification for leaving the ships behind.

Of the more than 300 ships, only about 170 are truly valuable.

These include:

Twenty-six Sword-class or similar-sized frigates.
