"Is the name of the War General something a fat worm like you can pronounce?"

Valerian immediately continued.

“I can give the Black Legion a functional star system.”

“You can slaughter all the elite nobles, burn down a few gardens, and blow up a few shipyards. That would plunge the planet into chaos and give Lawson the perfect excuse.”

"He will take over the army under the pretext of pursuing and eliminating Chaos."

"Taking over Starport under the guise of maintaining order."

"They took over food and water under the pretext of protecting civilians."

Finally, he will clean this place up.

"You're essentially clearing the way for him."

"Isn't Lawson the War General's enemy? The enemy of my enemy should be my friend!"

This statement is more powerful than simply begging for mercy.

It implicitly identifies the Black Armor Warriors as true remnants of Chaos, and positions itself as someone who "understands the workings of the Empire."

Seeing that the other side still hadn't fired, Valerian escalated the attack.

"I can do the opposite."

"If I am alive, I can announce the temporary relocation of the Governor's Office."

“I can use my legitimate governorship to order all planetary governors to refuse Lawson’s temporary takeover.”

Valerian raised the seal of succession in his hand.

"This thing is useless to you."

“It will be useful for Lawson.”

“Once I die, the seal will fall into his hands, and he can install puppets, rebuild order, and forge continuity.”

"As long as I live, the legitimacy of this galaxy remains with me."

“I can hand over this legitimacy to the War Commander.”

This time, the black-armored warrior stopped.

Valerian thought he had persuaded him, so he threw out his last bargaining chip.

"Tell the commander."

“Valerian Hearst pledges allegiance by virtue of the governorship, the network of nobles, the authority of the Star Language, the orbital identification chain, and the Hearst bloodline.”

The black-armored warrior finally smiled.

"You dog certainly barks louder than those fat pigs."

Valerian felt a slight sense of relief.

The next second, the black-armored warrior raised his gun and shot through his wrist.

boom!

The severed hand flew out and crashed into the bookshelf.

The inheritance seal rolled to the ground.

He reached out and grabbed Valerian's hair, dragging him toward the viewing window.

Valerian changed color for the first time.

"and many more!"

"You don't understand!"

"As long as I live, I can make it impossible for Lawson to move an inch!"

"I can make the entire Dark Side think he's more dangerous than Abaddon!"

The black-armored warrior pressed his face into the viewing window.

boom!

The tempered glass cracked.

"Speak louder."

Valerian's face was covered in blood.

"I am willing to pledge my loyalty to the war commander!"

boom!

The second time.

Teeth mixed with blood splattered onto the glass.

"I am willing to serve the Black Legion with the imperial law!"

boom!

The third time.

The bridge of the nose is broken.

A strong wind rushed into the study.

The black-armored warrior grabbed Valerian by the ankle and dangled him outside the window.

Below the spire, many nobles, servants, and remnants of the royal guard were looking up at this scene.

The black-armored warrior turned on the external speaker channel.

Did you hear that?

"Your governor says he is willing to surrender the imperial legitimacy to the warlord."

Valerian finally realized what was happening.

He began to struggle.

"You are not Abaddon's men!"

"You are not..."

The black-armored warrior smashed him against the window frame.

The leg was broken.

Twisted spine.

Blood left long streaks along the edge of the glass.

Valerian's voice changed from a roar to broken gasps.

The black-armored warrior released his grip only when the man was only twitching weakly.

Governor Valerian Hearst fell from the top of the tower.

His body passed through the simulated starry sky projection, through the light strips above the noble garden, through the horrified gazes of those who had fled the banquet hall, and finally crashed in front of the imperial statue in the central square.

The bones were shattered.

Blood spread out at the feet of the icon.

The nobles in the square were completely devastated.

The black-armored warriors charged into the square, laughing.

They began to pull the nobles out of the crowd.

Some were cleaved in two on the spot by chainsaw swords.

Some were hung on lampposts.

Some had their knees shattered by slingshots and then their chests trampled by their companions.

They were like a pack of mad dogs that had truly crawled out of the subspace, splashing fear, bloodshed, blasphemy, and slaughter into the Spire.

Yet every person who was killed remains on the list.

No one could figure out the list.

Outsiders only see Chaos going mad.

All I saw were the remnants of Abaddon taking revenge.

All they saw were imperial nobles being dragged into the fire by black-armored traitors, dying with screams of agony.

The defenses at the top of the tower were breached within twenty-seven minutes.

The final family chamber was breached one hour and thirteen minutes later.

Madame Palermo hid deep inside the secret room, still wearing that ball gown.

The white powder on her face was washed away by sweat, leaving deep lines. In her hand, she clutched a family key and a master map of the galactic granary.

The moment the door to the secret room blew open, she immediately knelt down.

This woman knew very well that she could cry in front of the Imperial Inquisitors, talk to the noble enemies, and bring her charter to the Star Guardians.

But when facing a Chaos Space Marine, crying will only excite them more.

She held up the master plan of the grain depot high.

"and many more!"

"I can offer food!"

"The food depots of Damocles III and VII are in my hands. I can open all the food warehouses, I can cut off the supply to Midnest, and cause chaos to break out on this planet within seven days!"

The black-armored warrior stopped in his tracks.

The red goggles on the helmet were looking at her.

Madame Palermo crawled forward on her knees as if grasping a lifeline.

"I also know the secondary key to the water purification station."

"There is also a census of residents in the debtor-controlled areas."
