Warhammer: Empire Reboot

The Soul of Vengeance was once a symbol of Horus.
It later became a core symbol of Abaddon and the Black Legion.
Now it has been taken over by Lawson, its traitorous mark washed away, and renamed the Abaddon.
Ilancia looked back at the giant ship.
"Aren't you afraid that this name will bring a curse?"
Lawson chuckled.
"It was originally called Vengeful Spirit. Does that sound like a normal name?"
Ilancia thought for a moment.
"That's true."
Lawson raised his hand.
A projection of a warship structure appeared in front of the observation platform.
Ilancia quickly realized that this was not a pretty promotional image for outsiders, but an overview of the modifications being used by the T-series.
The boarding area, hangar area, transport bay, legion deployment deck, macro cannon ammunition bay, plasma reactor, prayer engine layer, and machine soul core area unfold layer by layer.
The T-series modifications to this warship were clearly not simple repairs.
After removing the chaotic and corrupted parts, they began to cram in Lawson's own war system.
The assault deck, originally intended for Black Legion boarding forces, was converted into a rapid deployment zone for the combat sequence.
After some of the blood sacrifice arrays were dismantled, they were replaced with static anchor points and heavy transport platforms.
The Demon Engine maintenance bay has been cleaned, sealed off, and reconstructed. It now houses heavy automatic artillery vehicles, Bear Guard motor maintenance racks, and the ship's internal defense servitude being tested by the T-series.
A new group of landing modules was added to the belly of the ship.
The bow weapon array is replacing some of the corroded gun emplacements.
Those cannons that had been modified by the Dark Mechanicus and were now half-dead were either dismantled or purified, while those that could not be restored were simply thrown into the furnace for recycling.
The new gun turrets are derived from materials captured from the Agrippina, the Hellfire Furnace on the planet Extinction, post-war recovered armor from the Vigilant Star, and the redesigned composite gun mounts from the T-series.
After watching for a while, Yilancia finally spoke.
"It has become stronger."
"Of course," said Lawson.
"While the Chaos system is disgusting, some of its materials and layouts are indeed valuable. The T-Sequence isn't about turning it into an ordinary Imperial warship; it's about transforming it into my own warship."
Ilancia looked into the depths of the ship's hull in the projection.
"Where is the machine spirit?"
Lawson's gaze finally turned serious.
"It's been suppressed."
Ilancia looked at the core area of the machine soul marked in red on the projection.
"You dare use a ship like this?"
Lawson countered with a question.
Why wouldn't you dare?
"It betrayed humanity."
"That was betrayal by people, not the ship voting for itself."
She asked again, "Is this your most powerful warship?"
Lawson did not answer immediately.
In terms of single-ship tonnage, historical background, armor thickness, number of weapons, and flagship capabilities, the Abaddon is indeed one of the strongest warships currently in Lawson's possession.
It could even be said that it surpasses the existing capital ships of the Agrippina in many aspects.
It can support a massive army, serve as the core of a fleet, tear through orbital defenses, deploy organized combat units to a planet, and engage in aerial combat with enemy capital ships.
"At this stage, in terms of single-ship combat capability, it ranks first," said Lawson.
Ilancia sensed his reservation.
"What about later?"
"There will be something even bigger in the future."
Ilancia couldn't suppress her curiosity.
"What's bigger?"
Lawson looked at her.
"Want to see?"
Ilancia instinctively wanted to say no.
Every time she thought she understood this human warlord a little, Lawson would take her to the next place and dismantle the judgment she had just made.
This feeling is awful.
Saim-Han's wild riders love speed, initiative, and control of the direction of travel.
But when she was with Lawson, she was always forced to follow his rhythm.
She had to see whatever he showed her.
Whatever he prompts her to think about, she will unconsciously think about it.
For Ilancia, this was a more vexing form of control than chains.
But she still spoke up.
"Want to see."
Lawson smiled.
The static force field unfolds again.
This time, Ilancia did not close her eyes.
She forced herself to stare at the dark blue light screen, trying to discern any pattern within it.
Meaningless.
The space was cut off.
The coordinates have been replaced.
Her senses had barely touched the edge when they were blocked by a cold, hard force field.
The next instant, the Abaddon's dock disappeared.
All that remained before me was an even larger shadow.
Ilancia looks up.
When she first saw it, she didn't immediately associate it with a "warship".
It's more like a small, hollowed-out, armored celestial body.
A colossal sphere stretched across the void, its outer layer covered with layers upon layers of armor plates, turrets, propulsion rings, energy pipelines, and maintenance platforms as massive as a city complex.
Its outline is not smooth, and many areas retain the rough, original structure of the green-skinned creatures, but these structures have been retamed.
Most of the messy turrets that originally belonged to the orcs were demolished.
The new giant gun emplacements are embedded in the outer shell in a circular array.
The ship's hull was covered with dark armor belts, and in some areas, the texture of a mixture of Hellbrass and Imperial alloy could be seen. That material made it look even more menacing and dangerous.
Dozens of propulsion towers, like giant craters embedded in the lunar surface, are connected to complex plasma vents and subspace navigation aids behind them. The robotic arms are moving slowly, like installing the final bone spikes on a behemoth.
Ilancia's fingers tightened.
"This is the Battle Moon!"
One of the Orcs’ most insane and dangerous war creations.
They are mobile celestial fortresses built from orc technology, psionic collective beliefs, massive scale, and irrational engineering marvels.
A war moon often signifies disaster.
They can carry countless greenskins, fighters, turrets, landing craft, and a chaotic yet incredibly powerful weapon system. Their appearance is usually accompanied by a war on an entire star sector scale.
But the battle moon before us is no longer the mad creation of the Greenskins.
The turret position has been recalculated.
The armor's center of gravity has been adjusted.
The structure was unified.
The longer Ilancia looked at it, the tighter her chest felt.
"You can even modify the orcs' battle moon?"
Lawson stared at the colossal object. "If the Greenskins can create it, why can't I modify it?"
Ilancia turned her head to look at him.
That's too arrogant.
But the facts before her left her no room for rebuttal.
Lawson continued, "The green-skinned things are crude, but some of their ideas are useful. They're big, tough, and durable enough to hold an army. The problems are chaotic control, wasted firepower, low energy efficiency, and unstable navigation."
He raised his hand, and multiple structures on the surface of the battle moon lit up in the projection.
"I can fix all these problems."
Ilancia looked at the projection.
1,200 kilometers is certainly not a huge distance in the Ark world.
Saim-Han's colossal ark stretched for thousands of kilometers, housing clans, fleets, temples, skeletal gardens, industrial zones, rider training grounds, and a vast, endless circuit.
