In Guzog's view, this was good luck.

On Lawson's defense map, this is the bait area.

"Unfold".

Guzog raised his greatsword.

"Corrupted son, for the sake of your loving father, turn those false emperor's lackeys into pus!"

The Nurgle warriors began their advance.

They were clad in rusty heavy armor, their bellies split open, their internal organs tangled with mechanical tubing.

When the bomb hits them, it only splatters pus and rotting flesh.

Many people even walked along while letting out dull, cheerful laughter, as if their suffering were a sweet soup offered by their grandfather.

Meanwhile, the Dark Mechanicus sages raced against time to build a warp node in the rear.

The magic steel piles were driven into the ground.

The pus-filled blood vessel is connected to the reactor.

The blasphemous runes lit up layer by layer.

Soon, the crack opened.

Reinforcements for Vashtor began to arrive.

Chaos Poison Demon, Slayer, Rusty Cannon Beast, and a demonic engine made of half flesh and half brass crawled out of the rift, dragging iron chains with it.

The two traitor knights also took heavy steps, their corrupting molten cannons aimed at the distant fortress.

Then, flowers began to bloom on the plain.

The originally flat ground cracked open at the same time, and modular turrets rose from the ground.

Hundreds of heavy explosive machine guns, plasma cannons, thermal arrays, and automatic railguns lock onto targets under the fire control fine-tuning of the cornerstone sequence.

Twenty thousand heavily armored combat soldiers stepped out from a hidden entrance.

They simultaneously pulled the trigger in a microsecond-level collaboration based on swarm intelligence.

Crossfire, like a giant comb, swept through the chaotic landing array.

The tens of thousands of traitorous mortals who charged at the forefront were torn to shreds within seconds.

Human bodies, armor plates, firearms, and gas masks were all reduced to a uniform color of sludge.

The Son of Corruption survived the first wave thanks to the Blessing of the Evil.

The high-frequency warhead penetrated the cracks in the corroded shell, blasting open the rotting flesh and nerve bundles inside.

They are indeed very hard to die from.

But it soon became difficult to move forward.

The Dark Mechanicus attempted to use the Demon Engine to eliminate the firing point.

On the horizon of the plain, a steel Great Wall appeared.

Five thousand fifth-tier bear guards, wielding refractive force field tower shields and adamantite-powered giant hammers, formed an impenetrable square formation and began to push towards the Chaos Line.

Each step they took made the ground tremble.

When Guzog finally saw those things clearly for the first time, he let out a muffled curse.

"Anti-gravity forces, intercept those behemoths!"

The moment the order was given, the sky erupted with an engine roar even more deafening than thunder.

Two hundred Flying Bear heavy assault motorcycles swooped down from the clouds.

The sixty-ton steel monster tore through the poisonous cloud at Mach 1.8, its adamantite ramming head glowing with a force field light.

They collided directly.

The chaotic anti-gravity vehicle was smashed into spinning parts in mid-air.

A demon engine that had just taken off was ripped open from the side by the Flying Bear Motorcycle, its core pierced by the adamantine ram, and it crashed into the friendly ranks, trailing black smoke.

When the corrupt children looked up, they only saw a dark shadow looming down.

The next second, the person and the ground were smashed into a crater.

The Chaos Knight finally fired.

A knight's corrupting molten cannon struck the Bear Guard's shield wall, distorting the refraction field and pushing three Bear Guards back half a step by the heat wave.

Then its Void Shield was torn apart by a Shattering Spike tactical missile.

The second missile penetrated the knee joint.

The third one exploded near the cockpit.

The Flying Bear motorcycle swept past its shoulder and dropped a molten bomb.

Several combat suicide soldiers followed closely behind, using static anchors to throw the explosives close to the knight's leg armor, stuffing them into the gaps like workers dismantling scrap metal.

As the Chaos Knight knelt down, the pilot was still screaming the name of his beloved father.

The Xiongwei formation did not stop.

The powerful hammer fell, smashing its head and cockpit into its chest cavity.

Another rider attempted to retreat but was hooked by chains from three Flying Bears from different directions.

Amidst the roar of the engine, it was forcibly pulled off balance and then swallowed up by the Bear Guard Shield Wall.

Frontline communications in Guzog began to fall into disarray.

"The entire first tier of mortals has been wiped out!"

"Demon Engine Node Two is out of service!"

"The right wing of the Disaster Guard is demanding fire support—no, they're cursing the Plague Crows for stealing their ammunition!"

"The Dark Mechanicus's third anchor point has been uprooted!"

Guzogg smashed the edge of the communications station with a punch.

This place is like a preheated slaughtering machine, and his troops have just been dumped into the feed inlet.

The Chaos army fought for half a day on the equatorial plain.

They paid an extremely heavy price.

They didn't even get close to the outer defenses of that industrial fortress.

Worse still, the Bear Guard's shield wall is slowly pushing them back towards the landing zone.

The ground was crushed into a meat grinder.

On the track, things weren't much better.

The light spears and plasma cannon fire illuminated the sky above Agrippina as if it were daytime.

The deflector shields of the three Ominous Arks rippled with a rotten green color under continuous bombardment, forcing the surrounding escort fleet to constantly adjust its formation to share the crossfire from the Imperial fleet.

Lawson's fleet did not engage in conventional artillery combat.

The suicide captains braved the heavy firepower of the Ominous Ark, constantly cutting into extremely close range.

The ship's hull was scratched red by enemy fire, yet it did not retreat.

Then, a salvo of torpedoes was launched from the boarding site.

Thousands of solid torpedoes, trailing plumes of flame, burst from their launch tubes and hurtled toward the Plague Crows and the escort ships guarded by Calamity.

The [Candle Dragon] battle group is responsible for key nodes of the ship's hull.

The White Tiger battle group is responsible for killing.

After the torpedoes penetrated the enemy ship's armor, the battle formation surged into the enemy ship's interior.

They advanced along ventilation ducts, maintenance tunnels, ammunition elevator shafts, and nerve cable nodes.

The energy pipeline was cut.

The ammunition depot was destroyed by targeted detonation.

The command deck was boarded and decapitated.

Those Chaos crew members who tried to stall for time in the narrow corridors by relying on Nurgle's Blessing soon discovered that their opponents were not going to compete with them in endurance.

The assassins would bypass the thickest layer of rotting flesh, break legs, blow up spines, seal the hatches, and then vacuum the entire corridor.

A Plague Raven cruiser went out of control during an internal boarding battle. Its stern reactor was blown apart by the Candle Dragons, and the entire ship, like a rotting raven bursting open, exploded into a green fireball in its tracks.

Another calamity-guarding heavy cruiser had just dodged a barrage of light spears when it was hit on the side by three heavy solid torpedoes at the same time.

After the ship's armor was breached, the Yazi battle group stormed in through the breach and turned the bridge into a slaughterhouse within twenty minutes.

The commanders of the Plague Crows and the Plague Guardians were so badly beaten that they didn't even have the energy to trip each other up.

They could only maneuver awkwardly around the three ominous arks, using these behemoths as cover, trying to avoid the artillery fire that seemed to know where they would turn next.

Before the war, they had heard that Lawson was ruthless.

But hearing about it and seeing it with your own eyes are two different things.

If it weren't for the three Ominous Arks being tough, heavily armed, and able to withstand some of the attacks for the escort fleet, the outer fleet of the Ogre Catastrophe would probably have been reduced to a garbage dump swirling around Agrippina two hours before the battle even began.

The ground battlefield no longer resembles a battlefield.

It's more like a slaughtering machine running at maximum power.

Guzog stood in the forward command post, his one eye fixed on the holographic sand table.

The pale green dots representing our side are being swallowed up piece by piece by the red lines of fire.

He had envisioned many different attack plans.

Use traitorous mortals to fill the gaps, use Nurgle Space Marines to hold the line, use Daemon Engines to smash through the defenses, use Chaos Knights to tear apart the fortress's outer shell, and then let the Dark Mechanicus establish anchor points in the ruins, continuously dragging Vashtor's reinforcements into reality.

He never expected that his mixed army, which was capable of sweeping through an entire imperial defense line in other star systems, would be pinned down on the outskirts of a forward fortress.

I didn't even touch the outer shell.
