Warhammer: Empire Reboot

He remembered trembling at the time, and he also remembered those words.
Now, those words are being spoken by someone else.
"you wanna die!"
Mortarian's shame and anger erupted completely at this moment.
He couldn't bear the thought of someone standing before him, using that golden light, that tone, those words, to drag him back to the moment when he knelt before the flames in Nurgle's Garden.
Mortarian charged forward.
Before the scythe could fall, the field of annihilation had already pressed down on Lawson's soul.
Lawson simply watched coldly as Mortarian charged towards him.
"If you weren't still useful..."
"If it weren't for the Emperor's sake..."
"I'll kill you today!"
The holistic silence field of swarm intelligence unfolded at this moment.
The plague fog in the control room was instantly suppressed.
The warp portal connecting Mortalian to Nurgle Gardens seemed to be abruptly severed by an invisible hand, causing a brief interruption in the flow of decaying divine power that had been continuously pouring into his body.
Mortarian's scythe stopped abruptly halfway down.
A black hole appeared out of nowhere above his head.
It was like a spatial shackle precisely constrained to the extreme, directly binding Mortalian's head and upper body.
The next instant, Mortarian vanished into thin air.
Lawson stored the Plague Bounty Horn into the Force Field Encapsulation Pod, then gave the following command to the Swarm Mind:
"Deploy to the Seventh Blackrock Fortress."
"The prison area is completely sealed off."
"Adjust the Black Stone Force Field to its highest level."
Deep within the core area of the Seventh Blackrock Keep, in a prison made entirely of blackstone, Mortarion slammed heavily onto the cold ground.
Mortarian immediately tried to spread his wings.
Failed.
The rotting moth wings behind him had just spread open, beginning to weather like withered leaves that had been exposed to the scorching sun for a thousand years.
The pustules dried and cracked, the wing membranes shattered, and the maggots turned into grayish-white powder, falling softly from between the bony spurs.
The flames of the plague within the dawn lamp were extinguished, and the lantern became a lifeless piece of scrap metal.
The giant scythe that could sever souls lost its annihilating radiance in the Blackrock Force Field. One by one, the Nurgle runes on the scythe dimmed, until finally only a rusty piece of broken iron remained.
Mortarian finally realized what had happened.
This is a Black Stone Fortress of extremely high purity!
An anti-spiritual energy field with its intensity set to the limit.
This is a psionic vacuum.
To the devil, this is not a prison, but a slaughterhouse.
Mortarian's body trembled violently.
The greatest gift that Nurgle gives to believers is never the plague, nor rebirth, but the deprivation of pain.
The Death Guard can drag its intestines forward, let its lungs rot into mud and still breathe normally, and let bones pierce through its flesh without any reaction.
Because the sense of pain has been taken away by Nerub.
But now, Blackrock Fortress has severed this blessing.
The festering sores, sores, viruses, bone fractures, torn flesh, and necrotic nerves that had accumulated in Mortalian's body for ten thousand years all returned to his body in that instant.
Intense pain enveloped Mortarian.
He knelt on the black stone floor, his hands bracing against the ground. The next second, a shrill roar, unlike anything a Primarch could have imagined, erupted from his throat.
His demonic body began to crumble.
The broken wings on his back turned to ashes.
The massive body deflated rapidly like a punctured balloon, the bloated, rotting flesh collapsing inward, and the plague venom maintained by warp magic beneath the skin evaporated directly, leaving only layers of dry, cracked, pale flesh.
The keratin buildup on my forehead has started to peel off.
The organs in the chest cavity that do not belong to real biology atrophy one by one.
The divine shell that Nurgle had bestowed upon him was peeled away layer by layer by the Blackrock Force.
Mortalian was gradually compressed from his five-meter-tall demonic form back to a shape closer to his original form.
Tall, pale, and emaciated.
Like a patient who has been imprisoned for ten thousand years.
He knelt in the center of Blackrock Prison, his shoulders heaving violently, and he was emitting suppressed, painful gasps from his throat.
The deep blue, cold light shone on his pale face.
He roared weakly, "Let me out!"
Lawson's projection appeared on the wall.
"You may be spared the death penalty, but you cannot escape punishment!"
"Motalian, first take a good look at your own body!"
……
The battle on the surface is not yet completely over.
After losing Mortalian's support, the Death Guard's offensive rhythm was noticeably disrupted for a moment.
It was at this moment that Teva determined Mortarian's whereabouts.
The Primarch abandoned the battlefield; this is not normal!
Unless there's something more important underground than killing the Imperial Guards.
With the only three remaining Imperial Guards, Teva pursued them down the breach in the earth's structure that Mortarion had created.
When they stormed into the underground control room, all that remained were half-disassembled research equipment and the corpses of several New Human guards lying against the wall.
Taiwa's gaze fell on Lawson.
The Guardian's Spear was raised, pointing at Lawson.
The other three Imperial Guards also assumed combat stance at the same instant.
Four weapons are ready to fire at any moment.
"Give me your name."
Teyva's voice came through the broken helmet speaker: "Have you seen Fabius Bayer and the demonic Primarch Mortalian?"
Er Gou's eyes changed instantly.
San Gou had already attached the weapon to his waist.
Lawson looked at the Guardian's Spear pointing at him, and his tone became indifferent.
"Terra's Royal Guard?"
“I am Lawson, the master of the dark side of the Empire.”
Taiwa's expression remained unchanged.
Or rather, the faces of the Imperial Guards, hidden behind their helmets, shouldn't have changed in the first place.
Of course, Teva knew the name Darkside Master; Terra had already gathered a lot of information about Lawson.
Knowing is one thing, admitting is another.
The Imperial Guards only recognized the Emperor.
Apart from that, no title is a reason for them to bow down.
His spear was still pointed at Lawson.
"The Dark Side Master".
Teva said coldly, "I ask you, have you seen Fabius Bayer and the demon principal Mortarion?"
"If you've hidden it, you'd better hand it over now."
"Concealing information is a capital offense!"
Lawson was so angry he laughed.
"A company commander of the Imperial Guards? How impressive!"
In the next instant, two figures pounced out from behind him at the same time.
Two dogs, one on the left and one on the right, tore through the air in the control room.
Taiwa reacted extremely quickly.
The moment the three dogs appeared on his left, Teva's Guardian Spear had already slashed back.
The spear shaft blocked the heavy punch that San Gou was about to deliver to the side of his helmet.
The shockwave caused a nearby analyzer, which was already half-disassembled, to slide half a meter away.
San Gou's fist was stopped.
But Taewa only managed to stop the three dogs.
In the next instant, Er Gou attacked from the right.
He swung his arm and slapped Taiwa across the side of his helmet.
When that slap landed, the air exploded with a loud bang.
