The speed at which the screen refreshed was getting faster and faster, so fast that even swarm intelligence no longer pushed these scattered numbers to the edge of Lawson's consciousness.
They are automatically compressed, merged, and muted, leaving only the total revenue, outliers, and high-value structures.
[Low-value return alerts have been hidden.]
[Spore Mine Cluster Revenue is now being tracked in the backend statistics.]
[Gel-like spore samples have been added to the material library.]
Biomass recovery in theater airspace continues to rise.
Lawson glanced at it only once and then ignored it.
These small items are worthless individually.
But when they spread across the sky for over a thousand kilometers and are burned into a chain reaction by the golden fire, even the cheapest insect swarm creations will become a dazzlingly profitable sum.
Lawson hovered in mid-air, the outer edge of his black and gold armor illuminated by golden flames.
The fire element continued to advance outwards.
1,200 kilometers.
Two thousand five hundred kilometers.
The floating spore mines and gelatinous spores had nowhere to hide.
They have no propulsion systems, no intelligence, and no real defense.
Once covered by Lawson's psionic energy and ignited by the golden fire, it can only explode prematurely in the air, turning its surrounding kind into burning ashes.
The burst of light from the explosion lasted for a long time.
At first, the soldiers on the ground could distinguish where the spore mines exploded, where the gelatinous spores burst, and where the flying insect swarms were burned through.
Later, the entire sky was reduced to a churning sea of golden fire.
The grayish-white clouds, like rotting flesh torn open, curled and evaporated in the fire.
The acidic smell in the air was burned away.
The putrid smell was burned away.
Even those tiny spores, so small that they could hardly be detected by ordinary sensors, turned into luminous dust in the aftershocks of the golden fire.
A few minutes later, the series of explosions finally began to subside.
The last cloud of gelatinous spores exploded into a golden rain curtain high in the sky, the slime burning dry before it could even fall.
The last swarm of flying insects that tried to take advantage of the chaos were swept away by the fire and fell in droves into the burning wheat field in the distance.
The gray-white spore thunderclouds that covered more than a thousand kilometers were forcibly wiped off the sky, leaving only thin black smoke and a layered blue-gray high sky burned by intense light.
Many people didn't react immediately.
They had grown accustomed to the grayish-white spore clouds pressing down overhead, to the sky hanging low like a wall of rotting flesh, and to seeing only floating death every time they looked up.
At that moment, when the vast, sunless minefield was burned away by Lawson's fire, the entire battlefield was briefly illuminated by an almost absurd brightness.
The hurricane motorcycles flying close to the ground were simultaneously lifted up.
Like a flock of black hunting birds that have regained the sky, they rapidly ascended along the clean airspace burned by the golden fire.
The thruster exhaust trails drew dense arcs in the sunlight, the micro-missile pods re-deployed, and the explosive cannon and pulse cannon preheated simultaneously.
The ground insect swarms have not yet recovered from the shock of the blazing inferno.
Boom boom boom!!!
The bombardment cannons, pulse cannons, and miniature missile swarms tore the flying swarms, which had just begun to regain some order, to shreds again. The XV8 units on the ground took the opportunity to advance, and the combat units sliced through the swarms with streaks of black and gold blood.
But the true skeleton of the swarm lies in the synaptic command nodes scattered across the battlefield, elite biological units, biomass recycling chains, and transmission pipelines that squeeze every last drop of juice from the planet.
Lawson's spiritual energy continued to spread outwards.
Within a radius of 5,000 kilometers, the entire battlefield appeared like a living map with its surface peeled back, deep within his consciousness.
Ordinary blade bugs are low-pitched noises, gun bugs are tiny flashes, flying bug swarms are like gray-black clouds, and heavy biological units are thick, fleshy spots of light. What's truly dazzling are those synaptic command nodes.
They create continuous vibrations within the Zerg swarm's mental network, weaving countless low-level Zerg from chaotic beasts into terrifying war machines.
Flying Bear Motorcycles' decapitation strike was swift enough.
But the battlefield is too vast, and there are always some that slip through the net, hiding underground, behind spore clouds, deep within the swarms of heavy beetles, in the lower layers of the contaminated hive capital, and in the cracks of the planet's crust.
While the Flying Bear Motorcycle can hunt down most high-value targets, it cannot cover every corner of the entire planet in a single instant.
The black and gold light and shadow behind Lawson unfolded like a tide.
Tens of thousands of shadow blades appeared in mid-air.
Once Lawson's psionic powers locked onto the target, the shadow blades vanished silently and reappeared without a sound, as if space itself had briefly folded at the heart of the swarm.
A Dominator-level executioner is organizing a heavily armored formation, its nerve core deep within its chest constantly transmitting tactical signals to the surrounding area.
Its dummy head armor is two meters thick, and its chest cavity is protected by reactive armor and multiple ribs. A direct frontal attack would waste a lot of firepower.
Lawson glanced at the scene from hundreds of kilometers away. Thirty-six shadow blades cut in from the side and rear, avoiding the thickest armor, and drilled into the interior along the breathing slits below the chest cavity, like a group of black fish shredding the massive clump of nerve tissue.
After running five steps, the giant beast suddenly lost its coordination.
With its forelimbs plunging into the mud, the hindquarters continued to roll forward due to inertia. The ten-ton monster plowed a bloody trench in the swarm of insects, crushing the low-level insectoids around it into a pile of rotten pulp.
And so, wherever Lawson went, the Zerg command nodes went out one by one.
The changes on the battlefield became immediately apparent.
The Astronauts on the ground saw the Zerg swarm suddenly become chaotic.
Lawson's figure flickered in mid-air for a moment, then disappeared.
The next second, he was on the other side of the planet.
Even before the large-scale counterattack, the XV25 stealth mechs had already been deployed to various key areas as anchor points.
Each XV25 is a space anchor.
Each anchor point can become a door for Lawson's arrival.
It only takes him one second to travel from one end of the planet to the other.
It only takes a second to travel from one planet to another.
Traveling from one galaxy to another, once the anchor point has been set, takes only one second.
This is the most difficult aspect of Norn Queen to understand and counter.
Soon, Lawson discovered a target that was more valuable than synaptic nodes.
Those things towered into the clouds, looking from afar like fleshy towers piercing the sky from the earth; they were the Zerg's biomass transport pipelines.
Their bases are embedded deep in the digestive pools of the battlefield, surrounded by writhing fleshy roots, like the trunk of a giant capillary network.
Organic matter consumed by the insect swarm, and even the carcasses of Tyrian insects dissolved in the digester, are drawn into the pool by these roots. After being treated with high-temperature acid and biological enzymes, they are transformed into a thick biomass slurry.
The slurry then climbs upwards along the transmission pipe.
The outer wall of the tube is covered with a thick layer of chitin and muscle, while the inside is a constantly contracting peristaltic cavity.
As long as these blood vessels exist, the planet will continue to be drained.
Astartes and the Astral Army certainly knew the importance of these things.
In the past, they were also key targets of attack.
The area around the transmission pipeline is heavily fortified.
The ground is layered with knife bugs, gun bugs, warrior bugs, and heavily armored guard bugs; the air is protected by swarms of flying bugs and spore mines; and underground, burrowing creatures are constantly digging counterattack tunnels.
What's even more disgusting is that the pipe itself is alive.
After ordinary artillery fire blasts open the outer wall, the surrounding muscles will immediately wriggle and heal, and the chitinous layer will re-close. Unless there is continuous suppression, extraction will resume quickly.
The Empire once used an entire armored regiment to blow up a transmission pipe.
In the end, only half of it was blown off.
Half an hour later, the half-section of the flesh tube was reconnected.
Lawson doesn't need to get close.
More than a thousand kilometers away, the golden flames had already pressed in.
The swarm of flying insects around the transmission pipe was ignited first, like a swarm of black flies dancing around rotting flesh being suddenly thrown into a furnace.
The spore cloud bursts, the gelatinous vesicles evaporate, and the guardian swarm emits a sharp mental response.
The Zerg on the ground attempted to consolidate their defenses, while more heavily armored units converged at the bottom of the tunnel.
Shadow Blade arrived shortly after.
Under the guidance of Lawson's will, tens of thousands of shadow blades merged, rotated, and meshed, transforming into a giant shadow wheel with a diameter of several hundred meters.
It resembled a black solar eclipse, its edges shrouded in imperial golden fire, slanting down from the sky and cutting into the massive biomass transmission pipeline.
The outer chitinous armor of the pipe was instantly cut open.
The internal muscles contracted violently, spewing out dark green slurry and highly corrosive blood mist, attempting to plug the incision with biomass.
But the golden fire had already poured in along the wound cut open by the shadow wheel, like sacred molten iron poured into rotting flesh.
Tissue burned by the fire no longer heals; instead, it begins to char, carbonize, and crack from the edges of the wound.
The shadow wheel continues to rotate at high speed.
The entire transmission pipeline vibrated like an avalanche.
It resembled a giant beast that had been cut in half at the waist, its upper half still convulsing wildly, the peristaltic cavities of its inner walls spasming in segments, and the biomass slurry accumulated in the pipes gushing out from the broken ends, forming a foul-smelling green rainstorm.
The digestive pools on the ground were impacted by reverse pressure, causing huge bubbles to rise on the surface, and tens of thousands of low-level Zerg were submerged by the gushing hot biological slurry.
Finally, the towering transmission pipe broke in the middle.
The upper half slowly tilted and crashed to the ground.
