The empire depended on him.

Communications, logistics, intelligence, and the technological system that is rapidly changing the way warfare is conducted are all tied to Lawson.

The fact that the Taiping Starfield was able to turn from being on the verge of falling into a full-scale counterattack is the most direct proof of this.

An empire can lose a fleet.

It is possible to lose an Astartes Chapter.

In the worst-case scenario, one could even lose a Primarch.

But the empire today cannot afford to lose Lawson.

"The life goddess of the Eldar may be very important."

Guilliman stared at Lawson and said in a deep voice, "But that is the Eldar god. No matter how important the fate of the Xenomorphs is, it is not as important to humanity as yours."

Lion King, like Guilliman, opposed the idea, but his attitude was even more direct: "Let those aliens try to save them themselves. If they can't, let them die with their gods!"

Ryan's attitude left no room for negotiation.

"We cannot allow the Immortal's Seal of the Empire to enter Nurgle's domain for the sake of an alien deity!"

Lawson looked at the two Primarchs: "You two brothers are quite in sync now."

Guilliman ignored the joke.

"I'm not joking, there's no room for discussion."

"I object too!"

Lawson raised his hand to turn off the projection of the Corruption Garden.

“Isa must be saved, not just for the Eldar.”

Guilliman frowned.

Lawson snapped his fingers, and the static field unfolded once more.

The black stone walls in the hall disappeared, replaced by a massive underground training ground.

The three have arrived in Agrippina.

Inside the training ground, dozens of Astartes wearing simplified power armor are undergoing recovery training.

They came from different battle groups and were all seriously wounded.

According to past standards, even if someone survived, they would only be crammed into a Dreadnought.

Now, they are all standing here.

A Skyforged Space Marine began accelerating from 100 meters away, much faster than a Prototype Space Marine.

He suddenly shifted to the side as he approached the obstacle wall, his shoulder armor grazing the metal surface before he punched the test target.

boom!

The alloy target, capable of withstanding heavy bomb blasts, dented in the middle, and the entire base slid back more than ten meters.

Another Skyforged warrior is undergoing a neurological response test.

More than a dozen automatic turrets fired training rounds from different directions.

After the training session, Lawson retrieved their physical data.

"They made up for some of the original Space Marines' deficiencies, their organs were more coordinated, their nerve responses were faster, and they were more resistant to psionic contamination and genetic breakdown."

"After a period of adjustment, we plan to roll it out to all Astartes chapters."

Guilliman looked at the soldiers who had returned to training; they were indeed very strong.

He could certainly see the difference; the original Space Marine was far superior.

Their body structure has been readjusted, and many problems that could only be compensated for by power armor are now solved directly at the genetic and organ levels.

Titus is the most successful example of this.

"What does this have to do with the goddess of life?" the Lion King asked.

"The current Tianzhu modification still has a failure rate."

Lawson replied, "The more complex the genes and the higher the degree of enhancement, the greater the risk of bodily collapse. We can design structures and manufacture organs using biomass, but we still don't have enough control over the essence of life."

He reopened the stasis channel.

This time, the three arrived in a world that had already undergone initial transformation.

The city stretches along the plains and rivers, with large areas of forest and agricultural land preserved between the buildings.

In the distance, a group of children are running on the school playground.

Their speed and endurance far exceed those of ordinary humans, but they do not possess the enormous size of the Astartes, which transcends the human realm.

Inside the city's medical center, a woman who has just given birth is leaning against the headboard.

The baby's vital signs are stable.

Lawson presented the New Humans' data to the two Primarchs.

"These are the offspring of the New Humans and the Imperial Humans."

“Fabius Bayer provided them with a basic template.”

"A stronger immune system, more stable genetics, greater environmental adaptability, and a shorter reproductive cycle mean that, under normal nutritional conditions, the next generation can still fully inherit these advantages."

"This is not the optimal solution. We now have more gene samples, which allows us to design the new human to be more perfect, but the more we do, the more problems we encounter."

Lawson points to the constantly intersecting gene chains in the data.

How can we ensure that the enhancement will not affect the soul?

"How can we modify certain structures that can only be used by biological warfare into parts that humans can stably inherit?"

How can we ensure that the first generation is problem-free, and that it won't collapse even after ten or a hundred generations?

"These are all difficult problems that need to be solved."

Lawson looked up at the two Primarchs: "Now you should understand the importance of Isha."

“She represents life, growth, healing and reproduction. Nurgle imprisoned her in the garden, used her to test the plague, and relied on her life essence to constantly verify the disease.”

"If we can bring her out, her understanding of the structure of life will far surpass that of Bayer, the Norn Queen, and all the Imperial Gene Sages."

The Lion King understood: "You want her to participate in human modification."

Lawson watched the children running in the city in the distance.

"No, we are still in control; she is just an assistant."

"I want to use her abilities to establish the last line of defense for the new human template."

"Repairing genetic defects, stabilizing genetic structure, and protecting the connection between soul and body—in the future, it won't just be Skyforged Space Marines, nor just a few enhanced individuals who have undergone surgery."

"I want to enable ordinary humans to evolve as well."

Guilliman's gaze fell on the group of children again, and he seemed to understand Lawson's good intentions.

From some perspectives, Lawson was thinking further ahead than him.

The galaxy is becoming increasingly dangerous.

The Empire, however, still sustains its wars in numerous worlds using ordinary humans with short lifespans and fragile bodies.

Humanity possesses the largest population in the galaxy, yet it continues to squander that population.

Guilliman was certainly aware of this drawback, but he had no other choice before.

Now the Empire has Lawson.

If Lawson's plan succeeds, it will not only change an army, but the entire race.

The new humans can survive on harsher planets, have longer healthy lifespans, and withstand more intense training and weaponry.

The success rate of Astartes' transformation will increase.

The wounded were able to return to the battlefield.

The Empire may even possess a new generation of superhuman warriors with stable lineages, independent of ancient genetic seeds and incomplete technology.

Guilliman and the Lion King both understood that they could not stop Lawson's plan.

Since Lawson has decided to enter Nurgle Garden, he must have prepared some unknown methods.

Continuing to argue will only waste the opportunity that Mortarian's death has given us.

What's more troublesome is that they can't travel together.

Although the physical bodies of the Primitive Genes are far more powerful than those of ordinary life forms, they still belong to the material universe.

The Lion King stared at the ever-changing map for a while, finally giving up on finding patterns in the twisted routes, and turned to ask:

"If we can't get in, what else can we do?"

Lawson stroked his chin and assigned tasks to the two Primarchs.

"Staying at the Seventh Blackrock Fortress, to be precise, is to help me attract hatred."

"Motalian has just been beheaded, and the Death Guard has gone mad, but a dead man alone may not be enough to keep the other Chaos forces focused on this place."

"You two are different."

"The Empire's only two publicly active Primarchs have appeared at the edge of the Eye of Terror and are standing on the Seventh Blackrock Fortress."

"Those old acquaintances left over from the Horus Rebellion must really want to kill you."

“Fugrim, Loga, and other things lurking in the shadows will most likely be unable to resist looking here once they receive the news.”

"If you just show yourselves on the high platform a few times and casually kill a few great demons, the entire Chaos will be focused on the Seventh Blackrock Fortress."

The Lion King laughed after hearing this.

"Then we'll be the bait? Sounds good."

Guilliman did not object; it was their responsibility.

Staying here, though facing an attack from Chaos, is far safer than following Lord Ragnarok into Nurgle Garden.

More importantly, they do attract a lot of attention.
