Warhammer: Empire Reboot

He was carrying out the original text of the order transmitted from the Etheric Council.
Everything in the world has been polluted, including the air.
When dealing with other races, the Tau Empire will first send envoys from the Water Clan, offering them the opportunity to join the Good Path, and will still maintain a limited degree of restraint even if the other party refuses.
These procedures do not apply to members of the same clan who are deemed to have been subjected to ideological pollution.
Because acknowledging that traitors are entitled to negotiate is tantamount to acknowledging that deviating from the path of good is an optional stance.
Hurry and kill!
Oshowah wielded the Blade of Dawn amidst the ruins of the city's eastern district.
The blade sliced through the seam of the chest armor of a crisis combat suit, tearing it open horizontally and splitting the cockpit and pilot in two.
Using the momentum of his combat suit falling, he rolled to the left, dodging two heavy railgun shells fired from the three o'clock direction. As he landed, he swung the Dawnblade, piercing the thruster of the second combat suit.
Aracon, one of the Eight Visionaries, led two squads to ambush the Fire Clan under the overpass to the north. They used captured Tau Empire Marker drones to jam the Fire Clan's fire control network, crippling an entire Broadblade squad within forty seconds.
The left arm of Yongbao's combat suit was broken. He used the broken edge as a ramming horn and forcefully pushed a Torrent combat suit into the collapsed factory building. Then he used the Fusion Cannon to shoot it through at close range.
Lightblade executed a textbook-perfect luring retreat on the streets of the West District, leading the pursuing Fire Clan forces into a pre-designated minefield.
O'Shovar's forces completely overwhelmed the Tau Empire's conventional army in localized micromanagement.
These people have fought alongside him for decades, from the front lines of the Eighth Expansion all the way to today; each one is a veteran who survived on the real battlefield.
The opposing Fire Clan warriors, on the other hand, mostly grew up in training grounds and simulators, and their tactical skills came from data models.
O'Showa decimated an entire battalion.
Three formations of heavy mechs descended from the sky.
He looked up at the combat suits being dropped in strings from the manta hull, watching them deploy their thrusters in mid-air like a slow-falling rain of metal, and watching them land simultaneously in all directions of the city.
The sheer number of them was so great that his tactical system abandoned individual calibration and only provided a total estimate based on the edge of the field of vision.
Aracon's communications were interrupted at this point.
The location of the overpass was struck by the four-wheeled track three seconds ago, leaving a crater two hundred meters in diameter; the chances of survival are slim.
O'Showa gripped the Blade of Dawn tightly.
The main command post is located 300 meters underground in Talosh.
The shockwave from the explosion traveled down through 300 meters of rock, and dust continued to fall from the ceiling.
On the holographic projection platform, the green dots representing defense nodes are going out in large numbers, faster than the combat staff can update battle reports.
"The fourth defense zone has fallen."
Xiu Ang, one of the Eight Foresight Generals, rushed into the command post. The heat sink in his combat suit was still smoking, and blood was flowing from the hole in his helmet, smearing half his face. "They dropped incendiary bombs in the fourth defense zone. Commander, there are no more defensive forces there. It's all civilians..."
“We can’t hold on any longer, O’Showa.”
Another commander stepped forward. "Communications to the three outer worlds have been completely cut off, and the main planet's air defense network is still at 17%. At the current rate of advance, they will arrive here within 40 hours."
He paused for a moment, then said the thing everyone was thinking.
"Let's ask humanity for help!"
"That human leader named Lawson said that he would provide asylum as long as we handed over the technology. We have already handed over the technology, all of it."
"At least let the civilians evacuate first, let them evacuate to those 111 worlds, where the defense matrix can stop the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet, and there is enough space there..."
O'Showa certainly knew the importance of calling for help, but he wasn't sure if Lawson was just saying it casually or if he would really keep his promise.
The technology had long been handed over, and his sector experience was worthless to a faction that could throw eight-digit XV8s onto the battlefield.
What's left of the Vision Enclave for Lawson?
That person adhered to absolute equivalent exchange.
What can O'Shovar give him now? Nine stones that are about to turn into glass?
Would he risk a direct confrontation with the main fleet of the Tau Empire for a group of already exhausted aliens?
But now there's no other choice, so we have to give it a try.
Another cloud of dust fell from the ceiling of the command center, landing on the holographic projection platform and covering the location of the seventh residential area of Talosh City.
The light at that location went out ten minutes ago.
O'Showa planted the Dawnblade into the ground beneath his feet and walked toward the communications station.
"Connect to that frequency band."
The encryption protocol for top-secret frequency bands is unlocked layer by layer.
Three seconds later, the holographic projection lit up, and a human image wearing the uniform of an Imperial Dark Side officer appeared.
The number on the left chest of the uniform is clearly visible.
[Foundation-911]
Oshowa stood there, with the constantly vibrating rock formations and patches of extinguished light behind him.
"Human Commander..."
"The far-sighted enclave requests the empire's covert military protection."
…………
Vigilant Star, Nachmond War Court.
On the holographic star map, the coordinates of the nine worlds of the Far Vision Enclave are continuously flashing a blinding red light.
The firefight intensity index refreshes every ten seconds or so, and it jumps upwards with each refresh.
Lawson slid down on the floating data panel.
The swarm intelligence network has completed its inventory of the Titanium Empire's assets.
This emerging civilization has been listed as a medium-priority observation target in the past few years. Four lines of information have been fed in simultaneously: clone spies, trade route infiltration, communications interception, and internal files leaked from the Visionary Enclave, piecing together a fairly complete picture.
"The core territory spans 300 light-years, encompassing 27 mature world regions, thousands of inhabited planets, and a total population of 65 trillion."
"Six thousand cruiser-class capital ships, over thirty thousand escort ships, and one hundred thousand armed merchant ships. The industrial base is solid, the speed of technological iteration is more than ten times that of the Empire, and the efficiency of social mobilization is close to the maximum."
The assessment report accompanying the intelligence network was very well written.
The Tau Empire is one of the few civilizations in this galaxy that is still progressing.
Their technological iteration cycles are measured in decades, while those of the empire are measured in millennia. Their administrative system is not so corrupt that it needs purges to keep it running. Their army will revise its entire doctrine after a tactical defeat, unlike the generals of the empire who would blame defeat on a lack of piety.
What's more troublesome is their method of expansion.
When the Tau conquer a race, they leave a place for the conquered race: the Kite serve as scouts, the Krut as hunters, and the conquered human colonies are organized into auxiliary legions, allowed to retain their languages and customs.
The highest level of goodness can theoretically accommodate anyone, as long as you are willing to walk in yourself.
This system is far more effective than the oppressive rule of the empire.
For a young race that has only been around for less than six thousand years, this is indeed a substantial foundation.
It was so substantial that it gave them the illusion that they were now qualified to touch the tiger's backside.
He put away the data panel and looked at the star chart again.
Such a large-scale mobilization to attack nine isolated planets that have been cut off from supplies, lost their industry, and whose troop replenishment has been stagnant for two years?
This does not conform to the cost accounting logic of the titanium group.
Every military operation within the Shangshangshandao system must undergo resource accounting by the Tu clan and path assessment by the Feng clan.
Killing O'Showa was indeed politically necessary, but the price was at most a third of the cost of an expeditionary fleet.
Ether mobilized the entire force of the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet, and also provided an additional 100 manta ships and 20,000 crisis combat suits, a number far exceeding the amount needed to "execute traitors".
There's only one answer to who the extra portion is intended for.
"After taking down the nine Lone Stars, we'll turn the spot into an advance base, and then turn around and take down these 111 of mine."
"Incidentally, we also want to take back the combat suits and drone technology with interest. The diplomatic note from the Shui family was the diplomatic version of this intention."
He circled the Vision Enclave and his 111 worlds together on the star map.
The two areas are adjacent to each other.
If the former is captured, the latter will be directly exposed to the attack radius.
"He's got a good plan."
Lawson's fingertip pointed to the coordinates where the Tau fleet had suddenly appeared.
"Unfortunately, he's not very bright."
This is the most crucial flaw in the whole affair.
The Tau Empire's warp drive isn't considered fast in the entire galaxy.
Their warp drives can only perform shallow jumps in the outer layers of real space, which is safer and much slower than the Empire's warp travel.
The journey from Titan to Vision Enclave normally takes seven to nine months, and the route must be followed along a designated route with stops at at least four supply points along the way.
The seventeen sensor arrays deployed by O'Shovar cover a depth of forty-seven light-years, and any fleet traveling this route will be identified twelve hours in advance.
The Tau fleet, however, appeared directly at a distance of 3,000 meters from the Earth's orbit around the host planet.
There is no other possibility besides the internet.
In this galaxy, there is only one faction that would "kindly" offer the network coordinates to the Tau Empire.
Lawson lit up the coordinates of Comoros on the star map.
“Victor.”
It's not hard to guess what that cunning old fox is up to.
He didn't expect the Tau to win; he just needed Lawson to be forced to divert the Tri-Star Fleet to rescue the Vision Enclave.
Once the fleet leaves, the pressure around Comoros will immediately ease, freeing him up to return and steal the Goddess of Life.
Using someone else to do your dirty work costs nothing, and you don't lose anything even if you fail.
This algorithm is as standard as breathing for the Dark Eldar.
Lawson snapped his fingers.
