In name only: I will break the chess game in Handong

This time, Cheng Du personally got up, grabbed Jiang Ning's right hand, and directly slammed it onto the screen. Jiang Ning saw the folder clearly, and cold sweat poured down his forehead.

What are you doing! Let go of me!

I'm warning you one last time: let me go right now, and never open that folder. My father is Jiang Dehai from the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, a ministerial-level official!

Those who know what's good for them should stop their foolish behavior right now!

Now, Jiang Ning can only resort to mentioning his father to intimidate others.

However, Du Cheng doesn't buy into this. If the other party is really the son of a ministerial-level official, why wait until now to say it? Isn't that ridiculous?

The folder opened, containing more than a dozen high-definition videos. He randomly clicked on one, and Cheng Du's expression instantly turned serious. The video clearly showed Jiang Ning's violent behavior towards a woman. Wasn't this rape?

Moreover, the video was not silenced and was filled with Jiang Ning's profanity and threats against the girl.

What would happen if the girl dared to tell anyone that her father was a high-ranking official at the ministerial level and that she herself was a deputy section chief in the public security bureau…

These are all pieces of evidence against a crime!

"Immediately conduct a technical analysis of these videos to see if there are any traces of manipulation!"

Just as the police officer was about to take the phone away, a policeman rushed in.

"Director, there's a call from above! They specifically asked you to answer it."

Cheng Du was taken aback for a moment, but quickly got up and headed over.

He picked up the phone, his tone respectful.

"Hello, leader, I am Cheng Du, the director of the Guangming District Public Security Bureau!"

"Comrade Cheng Du, I am Qin Siyuan."

"Qin Siyuan?"

Cheng Du was a little confused. Who was Qin Siyuan?

Hearing Cheng Du's doubts, Qin Siyuan couldn't hold back either.

"I am Qin Siyuan, the newly appointed member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of Handong!"

"Oh, Secretary Qin, hello. Is there any instruction you need from me by calling me?"

"Did your Guangming branch arrest a man named Jiang Ning?"

Upon hearing the other party mention Jiangning, Cheng Du immediately became alert, but he did not hide anything.

"Secretary Qin, we did arrest a man named Jiang Ning, but this Jiang Ning is suspected of..."

"Alright, no need to say anything more. I understand the situation. If there are no problems, release this person."

"Huh? You can put this in?"

I don't understand. How can a criminal suspected of multiple rapes be released? Is this how power is used?

"Comrade Chengdu, is there a problem?"

"No...no problem."

Cheng Du did not choose to confront him, as he was unsure of Secretary Qin's personality and temperament, and was even more worried that Secretary Qin was Jiang Ning's protector.

Therefore, I do not intend to disclose any further details.

After hanging up the phone, Cheng Du frowned.

"It's really strange that a deputy provincial-level political and legal affairs secretary would actually use his power for a rapist. But this is also an opportunity. I've heard that the newly appointed political and legal affairs secretary is not well-liked by the other standing committee members."

This matter needs to be reported to Secretary Chen first!

The degree of consideration was very clear: I had done the work, and I needed to let my supervisor know. But how could I let my supervisor know?

You can't be too deliberate, but you can't keep it to yourself either.

After thinking for a while, Cheng Du went to his director's office. In the office, Leng Feng and Qin Wanwan were sitting and drinking tea, while Chen Zhengshu and Chen Zhengxi were both drinking milk tea with gusto.

"Comrades, I didn't have a chance to ask earlier, what is your relationship with these two children?"

Du Cheng's tone was very gentle, but Leng Feng and Qin Wanwan couldn't answer.

"Uncle Leng is our family's bodyguard, and Sister Wanwan is a friend we just met today. Officer, is that bad guy going to be punished by law?"

Chen Zhengxi's words broke the awkward silence.

Cheng Du's original intention was not to make things difficult for them.

"Bad people will definitely be punished by law! However, you two children, your guardians are not here. According to regulations, I need to ask your guardians about the situation and have them come to the station to pick you up."

Do you still remember your parents' phone numbers?

"Huh? Can we not tell our parents?"

Chen Zhengxi was clearly stunned, but Cheng Du shook his head with a smile.

"No, little friend, we have to follow the rules."

Upon hearing this, Chen Zhengxi sighed.

"Brother, let's tell Dad. We can't let Mom know about this. We promised her before we left..."

Chen Zhengshu rolled his eyes but did not refuse.

"Little brat, what are you afraid of? We didn't ask for trouble. Who could have predicted that bad guys would come looking for us?"

After saying that, Chen Zhengshu turned on his smartwatch and dialed his father's number.

In the office of the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chen Luo was reviewing documents when the phone suddenly rang. He picked it up and saw that it was his son calling.

"Hey, Zhengshu."

"Dad, Zhengxi and I have something to discuss that we need your help with."

"What is it? Tell me."

Chen Zhengshu then brought the phone watch closer to Cheng Du, his meaning clear: let Cheng Du explain it himself.

Despite knowing perfectly well who was on the other end, Cheng Du chose to play dumb.

"Hello sir, this is the Guangming District Public Security Bureau. Your son and daughter may need you to come over."

"Guangming District Public Security Bureau? Judging from your voice, you must be Director Cheng Du, right?"

Once exposed, he couldn't keep up the pretense any longer.

"Are you Secretary Chen?"

"It's me, it's Chen Luo!"

"Secretary Chen! I...I...I really didn't know it was you!"

After saying this, Cheng Du realized that he had made a fool of himself by protesting.

Fortunately, Chen Luo didn't take it to heart.

"Comrade Chengdu, could you explain why my two little ones ended up at your branch office?"

Upon hearing this, Cheng Du squinted and began to report!

"Here's the thing, Secretary Chen, our district's public security bureau received a report that someone is illegally harassing a woman. The woman being harassed seems to be a new friend of your son and daughter."

According to regulations, we took the suspect and the complainant to the branch office to make statements before notifying you, Secretary Chen. That suspect is not simple. Just now, Secretary Qin from the Political and Legal Affairs Commission called me to put pressure on me to release the criminal.

But... my party principles won't allow me to do that!

That suspect has serious issues; he's very likely involved in multiple rapes. Our technical department is analyzing the video evidence. Secretary Chen, we…”

Hearing this, Chen Luo frowned.

"You mean Comrade Siyuan called you?"

"Yes, Secretary Chen!"

"Who is that suspect?"

"His name seems to be Jiang Ning. This guy also boasted that he has a father who is a ministerial-level official, named Jiang Dehai."

Hearing this, Chen Luo couldn't hold back anymore. Could they really get involved with him in this way?

(Updates will definitely continue, but I'm really short on funds, and I don't want everyone to send gifts every day. So starting a new book is truly a last resort, and I hope everyone can understand. This book will continue to be updated until its completion; it's kind of a labor of love. I hope everyone can support my new book by adding it to their bookshelves and checking in daily. That would make me very happy. The title of the new book is "Evil Invasion, I Sweep the Globe with Cancer Cells!")

Chapter 356 The Degree of Fulfillment

Upon hearing Jiang Dehai's name, Chen Luo knew there was no way to avoid it. He took a deep breath and continued to instruct, "Comrade Cheng Du, you handled this matter very well!"

A single compliment can make someone feel incredibly happy.

"Secretary Chen, I don't care whether Jiang Ning is the grandson of God or the son of God of Earth."

If those videos show no signs of being fabricated and are indeed true events, then Jiang Ning is nothing but a beast in human clothing disguised as a police officer!

Chen Ge, who was initially a little annoyed upon hearing this, started teasing him.

"Comrade Cheng Du, there's one thing Jiang Ning is right about: his father is indeed Jiang Dehai, the current Executive Vice Minister of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, a ministerial-level official. Are you afraid?"

"Huh?! Secretary Chen, really?"

"More real than real gold."

"I'm not afraid. They say if the sky falls, someone taller will hold it up. Although I'm just a small district public security bureau chief, I still have conscience and the law to support me!"

Moreover, I believe that Secretary Chen and the Provincial Party Committee will handle this matter in accordance with the law and regulations.

"Don't worry, if Jiang Ning really breaks the law or commits a crime, we in Handong will never tolerate it!"

Comrade Cheng Du, what you need to do now is to solidify the evidence, find the girl in the video, bring her to Handong, and collect all the witness testimonies and physical evidence.

From this moment forward, without my instructions or the provincial party committee's instructions, no matter who calls you, do not release anyone in Jiangning!

Write down the name of whoever calls you and report it to me separately.

And don't hand over the evidence you've collected, do you understand what I mean?

"Understood, Secretary Chen!"

"Okay, that's settled then. I'll come to your branch office later and we'll discuss the details."

Chen Luo hung up the phone and slowly exhaled a breath of stale air. Now it all depended on the investigation results from the Guangming Branch.
