In name only: I will break the chess game in Handong

"Comrade Donglai, don't get too excited. I've seen how conscientious and responsible you've been in your work all these years."

However, even after becoming the director of a department in Guangdong Province, one should not be arrogant, nor should one abuse the power in one's hands. Remember, only by seeing things through to the end can one sow good seeds and reap good fruit!

Put the interests of the people, the Party, and the country first in your work, and the people, the Party, and the country will not forget you, understand?

"Governor Chen, I understand!"

"Okay, that's settled then. You should hand over your work first. I estimate the Ministry of Public Security's transfer order will arrive in Handong in the next couple of days, it'll be expedited. Get ready to come to Guangdong Province!"

"Yes, Governor!"

At this moment, Zhao Donglai was terrifyingly sacred!

After hanging up the phone, Zhao Donglai was still breathing heavily and couldn't calm down for a long time.

When Zhao Donglai arrived in Guangdong Province to serve as the Director of the Provincial Public Security Department, he worked diligently for several years in accordance with Governor Chen's requirements. He knew that his chances of being promoted to the vice-provincial level were very high!

The same scene was playing out at the Handong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection.

In the office of the Deputy Director of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervision Commission of Handong Province, Hou Liangping looked at the documents in his hand with some boredom.

Once he reached the level of a department director, he no longer needed to conduct investigations at the grassroots level.

Life suddenly became boring.

More importantly, the three leaders of Handong left one after another, and the newly appointed secretary and governor had no interest in Hou Liangping at all, making his future bleak once again.

Chapter 399 The Arrogant and Overbearing Second Generation Jiang Yuan

Just as Hou Liangping was feeling bored, the cell phone on the table suddenly lit up.

Hou Liangping only glanced at it casually.

He was stunned at first glance!

He quickly picked up his phone and answered the call.

"Secretary Jia! Hello!"

As he greeted them, Hou Liangping stood up and moved his chair back, making a thumping sound.

"Comrade Liangping, no need for all this formalities, sit down and let's talk."

As a result, Jia Renli's tone was very calm, but his demands were exceptionally clear.

Helpless, Hou Liangping could only sigh, pull the chair back, and sit down properly.

"Secretary Jia, is your work in Guangdong Province going smoothly? You don't know, but since you've been away from the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, their work has become lax."

The newly appointed Party Secretary and Governor don't pay much attention to anti-corruption efforts; they've focused their main energy on economic development. I'm spending every day signing documents…”

"Alright, Comrade Liangping, stop complaining."

I'm calling you to tell you that you think staying in Handong is too boring, right?

I'm giving you a chance. I'm transferring you to Guangdong Province to serve as the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and concurrently as the Secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection of Guangzhou!

Do you have that confidence?

Let me make this clear from the start: I transferred you to Guangdong Province not so you could just laze around and do nothing.

Instead, I want you to be a sharp knife!

A sharp scalpel of anti-corruption has precisely dissected the intricate web of corrupt relationships across the province!

"Secretary Jia! We must have confidence!"

"Since you value me so highly and are willing to give me this important task, I, Hou Liangping, will absolutely not let you down, Secretary Jia. I will resolutely carry out the instructions of Secretary Jia and Governor Chen, and contribute to the anti-corruption struggle in Guangdong Province, even at the cost of my life!"

"Alright, alright, Comrade Liangping, where did you learn those words? 'Willing to die ten thousand times over'? I bet you're secretly laughing at yourself!"

Governor Chen agreed to your coming to Guangdong Province, but he also has requirements for you. Governor Chen means that after you arrive in Guangdong Province, you must be down-to-earth, handle cases in accordance with the law and regulations, and always maintain a humble attitude!

Don't think that just because you have more power, you can act lawlessly or even revert to your old ways of running amok. Do you understand?

"Reporting to Secretary Jia, Hou Liangping heard me clearly!"

"Okay, then you can wait for the organization's notification."

Goodbye, Secretary Jia!

"goodbye……"

After hanging up the phone, Hou Liangping was so excited he couldn't stop smiling; he couldn't keep this joy to himself.

Hou Liangping then called Chen Hai.

"Hey Hai Zi, I have some great news for you! Huge, amazing news!"

Upon hearing this, Chen Hai on the other end of the phone paused for a moment, then replied, "Your wife is pregnant?"

"no!"

"So you won the lottery?"

"Neither!"

"That's strange. Could it be that you're getting promoted again?"

"Hahaha, you guessed right! I'm really getting promoted. Just now, Secretary Jia, who has been transferred to the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, called me."

He said he and Governor Chen wanted to transfer me to Guangdong Province to serve as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and concurrently Secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection of Guangzhou!

Hai Zi, just tell me, doesn't this count as a promotion?

"hiss!"

Upon hearing this, Chen Hai couldn't help but gasp.

"Your ancestral graves must be emitting auspicious smoke!"

"Hahaha, it's not just emitting smoke, it's burning!"

"Tsk tsk tsk, I'm so envious."

"Hey, what's there to envy? I'm envious of you. We both got married two years ago, and you already have a daughter, while I haven't had any baby yet."

"Pah! You're getting a good deal and then acting innocent!"

"Haha, never mind, I'm only sharing this with you. Once the appointment is finalized, let's go out for a drink. I'll be heading to Guangdong Province soon."

"Row!"

It must be said that the transfer request from Guangdong Province was quite significant, as it was not discussed with the Hantong Provincial Committee in advance.

The two transfer requests were sent directly to the Handong Provincial Committee, which didn't say a word and immediately agreed to release the person.

Disagreeing is not an option; the transfer request is backed by the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and signed by Provincial Party Secretary Zhang Aimin!

Secretary Aimin's presence was still too oppressive...

They were even all expedited.

A week later, on Monday, the transfer process was completed, and Hou Liangping and Zhao Donglai packed their bags and prepared to go to the airport to catch a flight to Guangdong Province.

In the waiting room, Hou Liangping, who was waiting to board the plane, saw Zhao Donglai walking in carrying a suitcase.

"Director Zhao!"

Hearing someone call his name, Zhao Donglai looked in the direction of the sound and immediately saw Hou Liangping greeting him.

"Director Hou!"

Both of them were stunned, after all, this waiting room was full of passengers heading to Guangdong Province.

"Comrade Donglai, are you also going to Guangdong Province?"

Upon hearing this, Zhao Donglai's lips curled up slightly.

"Yes! I'm going to Guangdong Province to take up my new post as the Director of the Provincial Public Security Bureau. What about you, Comrade Liangping? Are you going to Guangdong Province for tourism?"

Hou Liangping's lips twitched slightly upon hearing this.

"What a coincidence! I'm also going to take up a post in Guangdong Province, but I'm taking up the post of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection of Guangzhou!"

The two looked at each other, their eyes meeting.

Then they all smiled!

"What a coincidence!"

"Yes, absolutely wonderful!"

"Hahahaha!"

Half an hour later, the two began boarding the plane. The boarding queue was very orderly, and the passengers all followed the rules.

However, there will always be some bad apples.

"Make way, everyone make way!"

Didn't you hear me? Are you deaf?

At the back of the line, an arrogant young man was shoving passengers waiting to board. Wearing black sunglasses and fashionable clothes, with that unruly face, he was the epitome of a rich second-generation or official's son.

When traveling, passengers waiting to board a plane don't want to cause trouble, so even if they are angry, they silently make way for each other.

Until this young man came up behind Hou Liangping and Zhao Donglai.

"You two get out of my way!"

Did you hear me?!

Zhao Donglai and Hou Liangping, who were still talking, stopped talking at the same time and turned to look at the arrogant young man.

At this moment, facing the gazes of the two men, Jiang Yuan felt a chill run down his spine. But who was he?

His father is the vice chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a deputy provincial-level official!

"What are you looking at! Get out of my way!"

Jiang Yuan remained arrogant and domineering, but Zhao Donglai and Hou Liangping showed no intention of backing down.

"Don't you understand the rule of queuing on a first-come, first-served basis?"

Zhao Donglai's voice was calm and cold, but Jiang Yuan ignored him.
