In name only: I will break the chess game in Handong

"That's right, Secretary Chen. Jinghai Qiangsheng Group has now fully confessed to all its illegal and criminal activities over the years, and the reporters from the Publicity Department who accompanied them have already edited the footage into a video."

I'd like to ask if you need it sent to Jingzhou.

"So fast?"

"Yes, it's fast. Most of the footage is actual filming, so editing isn't difficult."

"I understand. Have someone send it to Jingzhou. I will contact Minister Yang to arrange the broadcast."

However, the broadcast time will probably have to wait until you finish investigating the situation in Lincheng.

"Yes, Secretary Chen. Regarding the situation in Lincheng, the six investigation teams have already made some progress. I will take the three investigation teams from Jinghai to Lincheng tomorrow."

"Okay, you all need to be careful too."

"Thank you, Secretary Chen!"

After hanging up the phone, Chen Luo began to systematically arrange the work of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission.

Before he knew it, it was time to get off work. When Li Dakang got home, he saw that Ouyang Qing had prepared dinner and was waiting for him.

This startled Li Dakang.

"Weren't you cooperating with the provincial discipline inspection commission's investigation?"

Li Dakang was very puzzled.

"The investigation is over, the 500,000 yuan has been fully refunded, and I have been expelled from the Party and dismissed from my public office. Secretary Tian said that considering my voluntary surrender and good attitude, I will not be transferred to the judicial authorities."

Li Dakang nodded after hearing this.

"You don't have to go this far."

Pointing to the food on the table, Li Dakang still couldn't understand.

"What? You don't want to eat? This is the last time I'll cook for you to thank you. We're divorced now, and I've been expelled from the Party and dismissed from my public office. I plan to go abroad to be with Jiajia for a while, and then we'll return to China together next year."

Sitting at the table and picking up his rice bowl, Li Dakang ate with relish, though it wasn't actually that delicious.

It was actually not as good as his cousin's cooking, but the key point was that it was made by Ouyang Qing herself. Li Dakang hadn't eaten it for years, and it was the first time since his daughter went abroad.

After finishing their meal, Li Dakang helped clear the table, and then Ouyang Qing handed over two cards.

"Here are your salary card and housing provident fund card. We're divorced now, so I'm returning them to you."

Li Dakang did not accept the card. Ever since he was promoted to the deputy director-general level, he had been giving his salary card to Ouyang Qing for use. Over the years, he had gotten used to it.

“Take this and use it. You just returned 500,000 yuan, and you can’t find a job abroad for the time being. If you take it, Jiajia and you will have some financial ease.”

"Are you stupid? This is your salary card. Do you think I can take it abroad?"

As for Jiajia and me, like you said, I've saved a considerable amount from my salary and bonuses over the years, so you don't need to worry.

After a moment of silence, Li Dakang took the card.

He then said, "I'll keep this for now and give it to you and Jiajia when you get back."

Upon hearing this, Ouyang Qing smiled.

"Okay, I'll give it to Jiajia to use later."

The arguments stopped after the divorce.

Husbands and wives are like birds in the same forest; when disaster strikes, they fly away separately. Only when they don't fly away separately is true affection revealed.

Li Dakang hardened his heart his whole life, but ultimately couldn't hold on any longer. That's normal; even saints have selfish desires...

The matter of Ouyang Qing was hastily concluded, but the matter of Dafeng Factory had only just begun, and Hou Liangping had already set his sights on the others behind it.

At the same time, Chen Hai's dismissal notice was also issued. On the day he left the procuratorate, Chen Yanshi personally came to pick him up.

The father and son stopped as they left the procuratorate, taking a deep look at the location of the anti-corruption bureau before getting into their car and driving away!

Chapter 83 The Arrogant and Overbearing Coal Mining Area

Back home, Chen Yanshi and Chen Hai sat facing each other.

"Dad, I'm sorry!"

Chen Hai's face was filled with struggle and shame. He knew very well the resources and expectations his father had invested in him over the years, but his two extremely foolish actions had basically ruined his promising future.

Chen Yanshi's eyes were red, and he finally let out a sigh.

"Hai Zi, you can't trust anyone in this world completely. How exactly did Hou Liangping bewitch you?"

You were first suspended because of him, and he also took your position as bureau chief. Even after all this, don't you understand? You still consider him a brother?

"I...I was confused for a moment..."

"Sigh, what's the use of saying all this now? This time it's not just a simple suspension, it's a dismissal."

Although it's not an expulsion from the Party and public office, you probably won't have the chance to stay in the procuratorate or the anti-corruption bureau anymore.

Hearing this, Chen Hai felt as if his heart was bleeding.

"Dad, I will never have anything to do with Hou Liangping again!"

Chen Yanshi nodded, then his expression turned gloomy and he said, "Simply cutting ties isn't enough. If Hou Liangping dares to do the first thing, our family can do the fifteenth. I will personally avenge you!"

"Thank you, Dad!"

Just as Chen Hai finished speaking, Chen Yanshi continued, "Now you have nothing left, and who knows when you'll be transferred. If you have the chance, you should still try to win over that girl Lu Yike."

"Don't tell me you don't want to. Her father is the top official in the provincial military region and a member of the provincial standing committee. If you and Yike get together, with the Lu family's resources, you'll still have a chance!"

Chen Hai felt a little agitated, but when he thought of Lu Yike's appearance, the last bit of hesitation in his heart completely disappeared.

"Dad, I understand!"

Upon hearing this, Chen Yanshi finally revealed a faint smile; the seed had sprouted!

Meanwhile, Lu Yike in Lincheng was completely unaware of Chen Hai's subsequent bombardment. After the investigation team secretly entered Lincheng, Lu Yike led the team to Liuxiang Town, Huangping County.

This is a recently discovered clue.

Liuxiang Town is rich in coal resources, and manual mining began in the last century. The workers were all men, and they had nowhere to spend their money, so the sex industry gradually came here, and over time it became known as Liuxiang Town.

The problems currently existing in Liuxiang Town are quite prominent. The investigation results show that there is a private coal mining enterprise in Liuxiang Town.

Strangely, only coal trucks came out every day, but no workers came out, not even during holidays like Chinese New Year.

As for other issues, such as tax evasion and falsifying financial statements, these are secondary.

The entire coal mining area was surrounded by high walls, and any local residents who dared to approach were driven away.

If they don't listen, they'll get beaten up, and if you report it to the police station, the officers won't pay any attention.

Clearly, the problem is somewhat complicated!

In this situation, it would be difficult for ordinary police officers to conduct a secret investigation, but the investigation team had capable people, including a former elite reconnaissance soldier from the armed police.

A man, with a recording camera, quietly slipped into the coal mining area under the cover of night, and judging from the footage he captured...

The entire mining area is almost entirely populated by men in their forties and fifties.

Moreover, they all had defects, either having difficulty walking or being mentally unclear, and their bodies were covered in bruises.

The living quarters were like a prison, and there were people specifically watching over them; it was a very typical illegal mine!

With a general conclusion in mind, Lu Yike felt confident.

At 10:30 a.m. the next morning, two buses departed from Lincheng and arrived directly at Liuxiang Town in Huangping County. Without any stops, they drove straight towards the coal mining area.

The gate to the mine was closed and only opened when coal was being transported out. The investigation team didn't care whether there was a gate or not; the bus crashed directly into the gate, easily knocking the iron gate away!

The gatekeeper was a burly man who immediately reprimanded him upon seeing the situation.

"What are you doing! What are you doing! Can't you drive?!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the car door opened. The first car contained Lu Yike and three investigation teams, totaling thirty-seven people. The second car contained personnel from the Lincheng City Armed Police Detachment assisting in the investigation, totaling forty people.

"Company Commander Lin, could you please have the armed police officers take control of the personnel in the mining area?"

Lu Yike was dressed in a black suit, looking neat and efficient. The armed police team was led by a company commander surnamed Lin, who nodded and ordered the armed police to get to work.

The burly gatekeeper who had been shouting just moments before was instantly pinned to the ground, unable to move. At the same time, the investigation team quickly entered the mining area to collect evidence.

At 10:55 a.m., just 25 minutes later, all the coal miners in the mining area were gathered together, a total of 244 people, half of whom were physically disabled or mentally impaired.

Almost all the workers were skin and bones, terribly thin, while next to them were dozens of burly men who were squatting on the ground with their hands behind their heads.

"Director Lu, the preliminary results of the investigation have confirmed that these workers were forced to work without pay, without freedom, and even when they died, they were secretly buried in the back mountain."

Lin Huahua came to Lu Yike's side to report the situation, and Lu Yike was furious upon hearing this.

"This is outrageous!"

Just as I finished speaking, another investigation team leader came over to report on the situation.

"Director Lu, we just conducted a surprise interrogation of the mine area's leaders. They were extremely uncooperative, constantly shouting that their 'Brother Biao' wouldn't let us off the hook."

"I won't give up until I'm completely defeated; if I confess, I'll be treated leniently, but I'll rot in jail. Who wouldn't want to struggle?"

Just as the report was being given, the person in charge of the mining area received a phone call.

"Let him answer!"

Lu Yike went directly to the person in charge, who then answered the phone.

"Brother Biao, save us!"

"Give the phone to the other party, and I'll talk to them."

The other party's tone was arrogant, so Lu Yike didn't waste any words and just snatched the phone away.

"Are you the owner of this coal mine?"

Lu Yike's tone was cold, and the other party was stunned for a moment.

“One of the bosses, are you from the county or the city? I haven’t heard of any inspection today. I know Director Chang of the county public security bureau and Deputy Director Ma of the city public security bureau.”

"Friend, just draw a line. If you're willing to pretend you didn't see it, I'll immediately offer you three million for tea money. I, Wang Biao, will consider it making a friend."

"You're just being so blatant?"

Lu Yike couldn't believe her ears. The other party was so blatant in exposing their protective umbrella; they were truly fearless!
