Who said this card is outrageous?

The Skeleton Archer (Ice) followed closely behind, only to be knocked back to its original form by a claw from the Six-Tailed Fox that had come close.

The battle ended there, the entire process taking less than twenty seconds.

By the time Zhang Che recovered from his shock, Liuwei had already returned to his side, grooming its fur that it had accidentally messed up.

"My goodness, how are you so amazing!" Zhang Che had seen second-tier superhumans before in his life, but compared to the Six-Tailed Fox, those guys were on a completely different level in terms of combat power.

Even if it encounters an enemy it is weak against, such as a fishman in the sea, it is estimated that even if the opponent is a third-tier enemy, the Six-Tails would still be able to put up a fight.

By this point, Zhang Che had realized that his special abilities were clearly not as simple as he had previously thought. However, given his current situation, the only way to further explore them was to continue refining his card-making skills.

……

The saying goes, "Those who live near mountains live off the mountains, and those who live near water live off the water."

Because most of the fissures in the sea outside the city constantly spew out water-attribute energy, low-level extraordinary creatures such as fishmen emerge in an endless stream. Therefore, the extraordinary structure of Binhai City, a coastal city, can never be separated from those fissures in the ocean.

Card makers are no exception.

Just like the card-making manual that Master left for Zhang Che, a significant portion of the public version cards are strongly related to the attributes of water and ice.

Most of the cards are made using materials produced by the Murloc race.

There's no way around it; the creation of every new card always involves a lot of trial and error, and the materials from Murlocs are cheap, making them the perfect test subjects.

Therefore, when Zhang Che met Fu Xing and Yu Renjia again at the card shop, they brought a whole box of fishman materials as a gift.

These were hunted by them recently, and their species and quality are not the common items found on the market.

"Two merman warrior spines, and three water-type crystal cores from the Wave-Riding Merman..."

As Zhang Che's fingertips brushed against the fishbone, he could clearly feel the restless energy contained within.

These are all materials genuinely obtained from second-tier transcendent creatures. In Wang Guofu's shop, the purchase price of a single merman warrior's spine is equivalent to that of a first-tier blue card, and the three water-type crystal cores are the core raw materials for crafting second-tier water-attribute cards.

This is truly a great gift, and there can only be one reason why they were given to Zhang Che—that Fu Xing and the other person were very satisfied with the cards they had previously purchased, and were even willing to pay the price to obtain new cards.

"Brother Zhang Che, please have a seat here!"

Seeing that Zhang Che seemed quite satisfied with the materials, Fu Xing invited him to sit down, then gestured for secrecy towards Wang Guofu, saying, "Mr. Wang, we need to discuss some personal matters. Please continue with your work!"

Wang Guofu smiled, waved his hand, and turned to go outside to mind the shop.

Fu Xing then spoke, his voice brimming with barely suppressed excitement: "Brother Zhang Che, those blue cards you made are truly amazing!"

Yu Renjia continued, "With their help, dealing with those brainless murlocs is incredibly easy. These past few days, the two of us have defeated several murloc groups, and we've specially picked out some of the best spoils to bring to you."

"This is a deposit, and also a small token of our appreciation." Fu Xing couldn't keep anything to himself. "Another reason we came here today is to discuss a business deal with you. We'd like to buy a few more blue cards to use."

The two were still students after all. Although they were already second-tier superhumans, they never thought of abusing their power or cheating others, such as forcing Zhang Che to sell them cards.

Zhang Che was equally satisfied with their attitudes, and since he was originally going to sell cards anyway, he was naturally happy to deepen the connection between them now that he had encountered two such high-quality customers.

Moreover, for Zhang Che, the two of them represent a huge market. Once they establish a good reputation in the school, business will inevitably follow.

Thinking of this, a friendly smile immediately appeared on his face: "Are you interested in second-tier blue cards?"

Chapter 7 Midterm Exam

The two were stunned after hearing Zhang Che's words.

"Wait, you mean a Tier 2 blue card?" Fu Xing was the first to react, his expression changing from shock to disbelief. "Weren't you making Tier 1 cards just a few days ago? This is such a huge leap!"

Although Yu Renjia didn't say anything, the expression on his face said it all.

Second-tier blue cards, whether skill cards, equipment cards, or even summoning cards, represent relatively strong combat power at this stage. At the very least, they are an insurmountable force for the two who have just advanced.

But the question is, how old is Zhang Che?

"Zhang Che, you're not joking with us, are you?" Fu Xing asked tentatively, his tone tinged with doubt.

Zhang Che did not respond, because he knew that saying anything at this time would be useless. The best way was to prove it with facts, so he directly took out the [Six-Tailed] card.

"call--"

Zhang Che channeled his spiritual power into the card, and a more magnificent magic circle than when he summoned the [Skeleton Archer] unfolded before everyone.

Pale blue light swirled upwards, and a cool, refreshing aura filled the air. Then, a small, snow-white fox leaped out of the magic circle.

Fu Xing: "..."

Yu Renjia: "..."

The two stared at the little fox for a long time, then looked at each other, their expressions incredibly interesting.

"Is it... really a second-tier blue card?" Fu Xing swallowed hard, his voice trembling slightly.

Although he hadn't seen many Tier 2 summoning cards, he was still a student at Binhai University and had some theoretical knowledge.

Moreover, the aura emanating from this little fox was clearly several levels stronger than those [Skeleton Archers], and even stronger than some of the second-tier superhumans they had encountered before.

Yu Renjia's gaze was fixed on the little fox's six tails, his mind racing as he recalled the card illustrations he had seen.

Six-tailed, pure white, ice attribute... He didn't think he'd ever seen anything like it before.

"Zhang Che, did you create this card?" Yu Renjia asked the question, even he himself felt it was a bit absurd.

But Zhang Che simply nodded: "It was just made a few days ago, based on some materials left by my master."

He spoke casually, as if creating a Tier 2 blue card was something completely ordinary.

Fu Xing and Yu Renjia exchanged a glance, both seeing the same meaning in each other's eyes—this person was either bragging or a true genius.

However, based on the current situation, the latter is clearly more likely.

"So, are you interested?" Zhang Che asked with a smile, holding Liuwei in his arms.

Upon hearing this, Yu Renjia was about to agree, but immediately hesitated again—although the second-tier blue card was good, could he really use it with his current level of mental strength?

After all, the two of them had only recently advanced, and ordinary second-tier blue cards were still too much of a drain on their resources.

Although Binhai University is not a top-tier university, it is still the only university for superhumans under the jurisdiction of Binhai City. If they really want a second-tier blue card, they can always get it by pulling strings and finding connections.

The problem isn't whether you can buy it, but whether you can actually use it.

Yu Renjia is a mage, and his spiritual power is definitely above average among extraordinary individuals of the same level.

With his strength at the initial stage of the second tier, a single second-tier blue card would consume about a quarter of his mental energy.

If used in combat, the remaining mental energy must be used to control the spells of one's own class, and it will run out in a short time.

As for Fu Xing, his mental strength was already a weakness for a warrior. He struggled even with second-tier white cards, let alone blue cards which consumed even more energy.

He felt okay when he used those Tier 1 blue cards before because the cards Zhang Che made had lower consumption than ordinary cards. If it were Tier 2 cards, he really wouldn't dare to try them casually.

If excessive mental energy is consumed, causing irreversible damage to the brain, then everything will be over.

This kind of thing is not unprecedented in the world of superhumans.

“Second-tier blue cards are indeed good, but at our current stage, first-tier blue cards offer the best value for money.” Fu Xing thought for a moment and made a decision, “To be on the safe side, let’s buy first-tier ones.”

Yu Renjia nodded in agreement. Although he was a little unwilling, reason told him that Fu Xing was right.

Although Zhang Che was somewhat disappointed by this, he would not refuse business that came knocking on his door.

Of course, rules still need to be followed. He had previously promised Wang Guofu that he would put the cards in his shop for consignment, so when it came time to make a transaction, Wang Guofu still had to come forward to settle the account.

Fu Xing and the other man had no objection to this. In any case, the cost of buying the card wouldn't be much, and Zhang Che and Wang Guofu could handle the matter of their own interests.

……

Back in the inner room, Wang Guofu opened the box that Fu Xing and the others had brought and took out the materials one by one:

"Two Merman Warrior spines, in good condition. Each one is worth 10,000 Star Coins, so two would be 20,000."

"Three water-type crystal cores from the Wave-Treading Fishman, in excellent condition. This quality is rare on the market and should be worth seven thousand star coins. The three cores together are worth twenty-one thousand."

Then there are some common materials like murloc scales, claws, and teeth. They're not worth much, but there's a good amount of them. Some of them are from second-tier murlocs, so they're probably worth a few thousand star coins in total.

Wang Guofu did a series of calculations and finally came to the conclusion: "All the materials added up will cost a little over 60,000 star coins."

Based on the previous price, the two exchanged all their money for cards, a total of six cards.

Zhang Che has been busy these past few days, making quite a few Tier 1 blue summoning cards and handing them all over to Wang Guofu, who has no problem getting the cards out.

The transaction was complete, and the two carefully put away their newly purchased cards, a satisfied smile on their faces.

For Wang Guofu's small shop, a transaction volume of 60,000 star coins is already considered a big business.

Although he was only entitled to a 10% commission as agreed, he was already quite satisfied with the amount of money he received, considering he had only acted as a middleman.

On the other side, seeing that Fu Xing and the others had bought so many cards at once, Zhang Che asked them a few more questions out of curiosity.

"There's nothing we can't say. Midterm exams are coming up soon, and we both want to get good grades," Yu Renjia replied.

However, Zhang Che became even more curious: "No, you two both have to compete for good rankings. Are the requirements for students at Binhai University this high now?"

Although Zhang Che had never attended university, as a local, he still knew some basic common sense: graduates of extraordinary universities like Binhai University generally did not surpass the strength of lower-level extraordinary individuals.

Those who are able to rise to extraordinary positions before graduation are all the school's pride and joy.

Fu Xing and his friend reached the second tier as soon as they entered their second year of university. By all accounts, they should be among the top in their grade, right?

Chapter 8 Pre-order Cards (New book, please read!)

"Because our goal is the final advanced assessment, which is to challenge those senior students," Yu Renjia said slowly.

Okay, then it's fine.

Zhang Che really didn't expect there to be such a thing as challenging someone of a higher level. Is this really how a genius should be?

The group chatted like that until Fu Xing glanced at the time and indicated that it was almost time for them to leave, as they had classes at school in the afternoon.

Yu Renjia nodded and was about to leave with Fu Xing when he suddenly stopped and noticed a blind spot he had just overlooked—the little white fox in Zhang Che's arms seemed to have never been put away.

After noticing his friend's unusual behavior, Fu Xing immediately turned around, stared at the six-tailed fox for a long time, and then looked up at Zhang Che: "This little guy... it hasn't been taken back since it was summoned?"

"Yes." Zhang Che lowered his head and patted the Six-Tails' head. The little guy squinted its eyes comfortably. "What's wrong?"

Fu Xing and Yu Renjia exchanged a glance, both seeing shock in each other's eyes: after using a summoning card, maintaining the existence of the summoned creature requires continuous consumption of the user's mental energy.

Although this consumption is much less than when activating a card, it's still been more than an hour since Zhang Che summoned the Six-Tailed Fox, and the mental energy consumed has at least doubled.

But looking at Zhang Che now, he's completely fine, with no signs of fatigue on his face.
