HP North Star's Radiance

The truth is quite the opposite; Prader's decision not to make a decision in the moment was a sign of her taking responsibility for her future. Snape's decision not to ask Prader to make a decision demonstrated his thorough understanding of her.
On the contrary, Umbridge, even the Slytherin she often bossed around, didn't seem to show much concern for her.
Umbridge's remaining words were all choked back by this tactless, bookish prefect.
She should have realized that, ever since the Victor incident, this prefect had displayed a kind of stupidity that didn't match her intelligence.
Prareas came out of his office, beckoned Pansy, who was waiting inside, and then walked toward Draco, who was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.
Is it possible that people who have spent a lot of time together will find it difficult to notice changes in each other?
Before anyone knew it, Draco had grown much taller, and Praris's chin only reached his shoulder.
Draco, hands in his pockets, turned his head and asked Praris, "What are you planning to do after graduation? Continue doing potion research?"
"I haven't decided yet," Praris said softly. "What about you?"
Draco, chin held high, said proudly, "Whatever I do, I'll become a famous man, won't I?"
After saying that, he lowered his head and said to Praris, "The Dark Lord has returned. My family will return to its glorious days, and my father will be highly valued by him."
Praris looked up at him and said frankly, "But now he's hiding, isn't he? That shows he's not confident he can defeat Dumbledore. Nor is he a merciful leader if Mr. Malfoy cannot accomplish his mission..."
"Do you know what you're saying!" Draco exclaimed, his voice low and menacing. "Are you crazy?"
Draco hurriedly pulled Praris to the end of the corridor, looking around to make sure no one had heard their conversation.
“Of course I know,” Praris said calmly. “The situation is unclear right now, and it’s hard to say who will win or lose. You should know that neither Pansy’s nor Daphne’s family has made a choice.”
Her words reflected the views of most of the Slytherin family. Aside from those who were originally Death Eaters, most Slytherins were observing, waiting for Dumbledore and Voldemort to prove themselves superior.
“Ha.” Draco sneered. “Is that what you think? Dumbledore has been expelled from the school, and the headmaster of Hogwarts is now Professor Umbridge! Look, we two are prefects, while Potter is nothing.”
In such a favorable situation, why would Praris pour cold water on him?
Praris shook his head: "That's true, but the Mystic didn't manage to kill Potter during the Triwizard Tournament. Was it because he didn't want to? Even though Dumbledore was expelled from the school, the Mystic didn't choose to confront Dumbledore directly, did he?"
Prarese received a letter a few days ago that had been reviewed by Umbridge.
The letter appears to be a rent bill from Old Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, but soaking the letter in water reveals Ms. Prie's handwriting, indicating that Ms. Prie is out of danger.
Prareus found the Horcrux, Dumbledore was successfully "forced" to leave the school, and the Order of the Phoenix rescued Prim Purnell.
Dumbledore's departure was his own deliberate plan, aimed at escaping the surveillance of the Ministry of Magic and the Death Eaters, and also for greater freedom of command.
On the surface, the Death Eaters seemed to have the upper hand, driving Dumbledore out of his lair, but that was not actually the case.
"That's because Dumbledore ran away!" Draco said confidently.
“Let’s just say that.” Prareas couldn’t very well tell Draco that this was part of Dumbledore’s plan, could he?
Praris changed the subject: "Even so, the people the Mystic trusts most are not your father, but the Death Eaters who escaped from Azkaban, such as your aunt Bellatrix Lestrange."
When Void lost power, Lucius Malfoy used the Imperius Curse as an excuse to escape and continued to live a glamorous life. He neither sacrificed himself for Voldemort, nor was he imprisoned in Azkaban, nor did he search for Void's whereabouts.
Seeing Draco fall silent, Praris continued, "For over a decade, Mr. Malfoy has not shown absolute loyalty to Mystic. Now, to regain Mystic's trust, Mr. Malfoy must do more and be more useful than others."
The implication of this statement is that the current "reuse" is an opportunity Voldemort is giving Lucius Malfoy.
If Lucius Malfoy fails to demonstrate his worth, given his loyalty over the years, his standing in Voldemort's eyes will only decline significantly.
Even if Voldemort really defeated Dumbledore, the Malfoy family would not be more glorious than before.
"Enough!" Draco said impatiently. "Do we really have to talk about this? I know more than you think, it's just that Mom won't let me say it."
He said this, but quickly calmed down and said slowly, "Don't doubt me, Praris. Just watch, my family will return to its former glory, and I will become a man of renown."
Draco seemed to be convincing Prares, or perhaps he was convincing himself.
Over the next two days, Draco went to visit Monta, cause trouble for other houses, and practice Quidditch.
Millison scratched his head and asked, "Is something missing here?"
Something was indeed missing—the person sitting across from Praris doing handicrafts was missing.
Draco is a man who is very good at entertaining himself. He likes to express his opinions, but he doesn't really need Pralis's comments, just her nod of agreement.
In an attempt to seduce Praris, he developed the idea of crafting, repairing many broken magical items in his home and even aspiring to become a renowned alchemist—though he currently only uses these skills to annoy Potter.
Therefore, he developed a habit of sitting opposite Praris, doing his craft while engaging in lively conversation.
Now that Draco's voice is gone, Praris is really not used to it.
Draco seemed to realize that Praris's words were not without merit, but he couldn't bring himself to admit it.
How could he admit it? Admit that his family was on a precarious path, admit that his father wasn't as valued by the Dark Lord as he thought, admit that his triumph was only temporary?
Draco's father was his role model and the object of his emulation from childhood. He believed in his father's decisions as much as he believed in the existence of Draco Malfoy.
But Pralis was also his mentor and the girl he loved. She taught him how to achieve his goals more perfectly and how to step out of Potter's shadow. It was also because of Pralis that Draco was able to become the Quidditch captain.
"Gryffindor, deduct ten points." Draco said sarcastically to Dean of Gryffindor, "Because you're blocking my way!"
Dean was furious and raised his fist as if to punch him, but Crabbe and Goyle blocked him.
Draco clicked his tongue twice, shook his head, and said in a regretful tone, "Why bother? Gryffindor loses twenty points for you—for attacking a member of the investigation team."
"Are you blind?! I haven't even hit you yet!" Dean shouted angrily.
“Oh, you reminded me,” Draco said cheerfully. “It should be provoking the investigation team members, so let’s deduct another ten points!”
At this moment, Draco somewhat understood Professor Snape's feelings; deducting points from Gryffindor was indeed very stress-relieving and pleasant.
Meanwhile, Millison's mood had lightened considerably. After ending her conversation with Praris, she finally decided to rebel against her mother, Mrs. Burst.
Under British law, Millison will inherit a portion of her father's estate. However, until she reaches adulthood, this portion of the estate remains in the hands of her guardian, Lady Burst.
The only person who would support Milison and take him in was Mr. Burst's unmarried sister, Rebecca Burst.
Millison called her Aunt Becky.
Aunt Becky was a Slytherin, but she hated Dolly Burst and Voldemort.
Becky is convinced that her brother was killed by Mrs. Burst, and she feels that Mr. Burst is completely innocent.
“Is there anything wrong with loving someone?” Aunt Becky said sadly. “But it is definitely wrong to take advantage of someone’s love.”
Mr. Burst knew that if he died, his mentally unstable wife would not take good care of their daughter, but he still disregarded his young daughter and chose to take the blame for his wife, hanging himself in prison.
Faced with Mr. Burst's mistake, Aunt Becky traced the root of the problem back to her brother's irresponsibility towards his daughter and blamed his sister-in-law as well.
“If your mother hadn’t followed the mysterious man, would your father have been imprisoned in Azkaban?” Becky said angrily. “If your father hadn’t committed suicide after being imprisoned in Azkaban, you wouldn’t have lost his care!”
Aunt Becky also had her own theory: she believed that pure-blood families should be proud of their surnames. Voldemort never publicized his surname, so who knows if he wasn't a pure-blood at all?
In short, Aunt Becky is not a normal person at all; she is an extremely protective pureblood.
But she was also the only option Milison could make.
Praris comforted Millison, "But I have to admit, Aunt Becky is also your best choice, isn't she?"
Becky Burst and Dolly Burst are deeply at odds. She desperately wants Millison to leave Mrs. Burst and will not allow Mrs. Burst to turn her niece into a Death Eater.
If Mrs. Burstd, the biological mother, hadn't been alive and well, Aunt Becky might have been able to win custody of Millison!
Just as Praris intensified his verbal therapy on Milison, trying to help him avoid the fate of becoming a Death Eater, Thomas Johnson rushed in in a panic: "Anderson, Anderson, he, he fell into the swamp!"
“A swamp?” Praris stood up in surprise. “How could there be a swamp in Hogwarts? Thomas, take me to Anderson immediately!”
Milison stood up too: "I'll go with you!"
Thomas explained the current situation to Praris as they walked.
The Weasley brothers had a huge mistake; they turned a second-floor corridor into a swamp, and several Slytherin students fell into it.
Thomas has plenty of experience when it comes to asking "parents" for help: instead of calling them teachers, he calls them Praris—Umbridge's magical abilities are far inferior to those of the prefects who haven't even graduated yet, Filch is a Squib, and the headmaster is too busy to be seen.
When Praris and his two companions reached the lobby on the first floor, they were blocked by a crowd of onlookers.
George and Fred rode broomsticks and sped over the gates of Hogwarts.
“Oh,” Praris said calmly, “It’s a shame we’re late.”
“It’s not too late,” Thomas asked expectantly. “Perhaps you can remove the swamp?”
Praris raised an eyebrow and said to Thomas with an air of self-righteousness, "Mr. Thomas, don't treat your prefect as if he's omnipotent."
Although Pralis had never seen the Weasley brothers' mischievous swamp, she immediately rejected Thomas's request.
It's good that the Slytherin students are alright. There's a swamp running down the corridor, and the only two people who are troubled are Umbridge and Filch.
Besides, you can't use magic in the hallway, can you?
Prarese believes that being able to refuse to do something is also a remarkable art.
Chapter 131 Before the Exam
"Plares, aren't you going to continue with your lessons?" Hermione couldn't help but ask Plares. "How long has it been since you and Harry scheduled a lesson?"
Preventing problems before they arise is Hermione's principle; in her view, being able to block only one instance of Legilimency is completely insufficient.
Praris laughed speechlessly, spreading his hands: "Miss Granger, you should be asking me how long it's been since the professor and I had a break!"
The departure of the Weasley brothers acted as a catalyst, causing the entire school's faculty and students to experience a period of rapid, unbridled growth!
Students use the Weasley brothers' truancy candy to fake illness and skip class; Pee Pee throws things around, screws in chandeliers, blows up toilets... the whole school is in chaos.
The professors all remembered Umbridge driving Dumbledore away, and no one was willing to help the headmaster, including Snape.
What? Does this seem surprising?
In Prarese's view, this was perfectly normal.
Dumbledore had a profound influence on Professor Snape. He was generous in giving the professor his trust, and the professor always carried out his requests with a sour face.
The professor disliked Remus Lupin, but still agreed to Dumbledore's request to brew medicine for Lupin every month. The professor disliked Potter, but still taught Potter Occlumency at Dumbledore's request—even though Dumbledore was no longer at the school.
In short, Snape coldly stated that he was a Potions Professor, and his magical abilities were not very good. Moreover, he had other work to do, as he was in charge of supplying potions to the school infirmary.
“I need a helper,” Snape said matter-of-factly. Not only did he not help Umbridge, he also casually asked Prares to join him.
At the time, Praris was quite pleased.
She said naively, "Great! It seems I don't have to bother refusing Umbridge's request!"
Since the professors aren't helping Umbridge, the only people she can rely on are the investigation team members. The problem is, the only two members of the investigation team who are still intact are Prarese and Draco.
