The herbalist in Diagon Alley told her that St. Mungo's Hospital was hiring a potion maker.

Most wizards have already learned the most basic potion-making techniques at Hogwarts; only those with rare or difficult cases are sent to St. Mungo's for treatment.

In other words, at St. Mungo's, she can encounter many patients and potion needs that she wouldn't normally meet.

—If a comparison must be made, Hogwarts is also an option.

Praris considered pursuing this work, developing potions through practical experience.

The requirements for the St. Mungo's Pharmacist position are the same as those for the Therapist position.

It requires applicants to have “Exceeding Expectations (E)” scores in at least five subjects in the NEWT exam: Potions, Herbalism, Charms, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Hermione felt that, given Prader's abilities, she was fully capable of entering the Ministry of Magic—truly changing the British wizarding world!

"Is that your ideal?" Praris rested his chin on his left hand and stirred his coffee with his right. "To enter the Ministry of Magic, to promote political reform, and to liberate house-elves?"

Prader and Draco didn't get to go on a date, but she did meet Hermione.

"Oh." Hermione lowered her head somewhat shyly. "Perhaps."

After saying that, as if remembering something, she said to Praris, "Remember your theory of self-interest? I wonder what benefits would liberating house-elves actually bring them?"

“If house-elves are freed, they can become workers and earn their own money,” Hermione thought to herself. “Then they can use the money they earn to buy goods and become consumers—and the merchants will get revenue.”

Perhaps because of Winnie, Hermione believed that Prader must know a great deal about the Muggle world. She naturally spoke words that wizards wouldn't understand, such as "consumers" and "workers."

Praris laughed: "They haven't been liberated yet, and they still work for the wizards, allowing the wizards to benefit."

House-elves are now freed, but the money they earn won't go directly into the wizard's pocket. It's much faster to have house-elves work like slaves than to wait for indirect benefits.

"Oh!" Hermione said, somewhat frustrated. "Looks like I'll have to think about it some more."

“Don’t worry,” Prares reassured her. “If politics and reform can find the right direction in five or ten years, that’s considered fast.”

Hermione didn't seem comforted, but she wasn't the type to dwell on an emotion. She shook her head and started telling Prarese about Winnie.

Hermione liked Winnie very much when she was Winnie's tutor for the Order of the Phoenix and admired her knowledge, even though Hermione did not agree with her teaching methods.

“You got 12 Os!” Hermione exclaimed. “I only got 11…Mr. Brown will be so proud of you!”

Lately, Prasley has been hearing phrases like, "Dumbledore believes Professor Snape will be proud of her," and "Hermione believes Winnie will be proud of her"...

She's so cute! She sounds like a baby who's just learned to walk. The whole family applauded her for the first time she stood up.

“Thank you.” Prarese readily accepted the compliment and pushed the menu toward Hermione. “To celebrate our twenty-three O’s, I’ll treat you to cake—please order the expensive kind.”

Hermione didn't hesitate, flipped through the menu, and ordered a small dessert for herself and Prader each.

“You missed your chance to rip me off.” Praris raised an eyebrow.

Hermione said nonchalantly, "There will be many more opportunities like this in the future! Once Mysterio is eliminated, you can eat with us openly and legitimately!"

Instead of having to go to a Muggle cafe for afternoon tea and not being able to find a booth facing the street.

“Is that so…” Praris lowered his eyes. “If only everything could be as you say.”

Hermione told Prader that Winnie was now able to stay conscious for extended periods. She had been transferred back to the Order of the Phoenix headquarters to continue her recovery.

Now, the members of the Order of the Phoenix have a completely different view of Winnie—she is a true warrior!

When Winnie returned to 12 Grimmauld Place, Hermione saw Tonks excitedly hugging Winnie's arm.

“Winnie, you’re so cool!” Tonks exclaimed excitedly. “It’s a shame I was unconscious at the time and didn’t see a thing.”

“I know you were unconscious—I personally shoved you into the corner,” Winnie whispered. “Don’t thank me, I should be thanking you for saving Prim.”

It was Tonks who broke the lock and rescued Prim Purnell.

“How amazing,” Hermione said dreamily. “Tonks saved Ms. Priscilla, and Mr. Brown saved Tonks. At that time, Mr. Brown didn’t even know what Tonks had done!”

There's one more thing Hermione didn't tell Prader: Winnie also indirectly saved the Order of the Phoenix's headquarters, even though she herself didn't intend to save Sirius.

No wonder Dumbledore didn't want Sirius to leave 12 Grimmauld Place.

Protective magic is related to ownership of a dwelling.

If Sirius Black gets into trouble, ownership of Twelve Grimmauld Place will change hands. And it's uncertain which member of the Black family will ultimately inherit that ownership.

They still have a chance if the ownership can be transferred to Sirius's godson, Harry. If it falls into the hands of Bellatrix and Narcissa, the Order of the Phoenix will be in a very passive position.

Due to the rules of secrecy, these matters involve the address of 12 Grimmauld Place, which Hermione cannot tell Prarese.

They started talking about other things... topics they wouldn't discuss with boys.

“How do you know how you feel?” Hermione asked curiously. “I suppose Malfoy was your first boyfriend? How did you know you liked him—oh, thank you!”

At this moment, the waiter came in and placed two plates of pastries in front of the two of them.

“Boyfriend?” Praris raised an eyebrow. “Strictly speaking, he’s not my boyfriend. But in a practical sense, he is my boyfriend.”

Hermione seemed unable to understand: "What's the difference between the strict sense and the practical sense?"

“There was no confession,” Prarese said. “We didn’t have a ceremony to define our relationship, like asking each other if we would like to be boyfriend and girlfriend.”

Hermione was a little surprised: "Why? I thought you two had been together all along!"

“Always? I’ve had other ambiguous relationships, though they were brief, but I don’t deny their existence,” Praris said. “As for why, it’s because I don’t want them.”

It seems that Prareas's words have overturned Hermione's expectations.

Hermione wanted to say that... Praris seemed a bit of a jerk.

But the thought that the person she was scumbags for was Draco Malfoy made Hermione feel better.

Hermione shook her head, banishing those thoughts from her mind: "Anyway, how do you know who you like?"

She pulled a notebook and a pen out of her bag without anyone noticing, and sat up straight, ready to study.

"Pfft!" Praris laughed. "Hermione! What are you doing, going to class?"

Hermione replied sternly, "Yes."

"Okay...okay!" Praris smiled helplessly.

After a while, she stopped smiling and said in a light tone, "Liking is the beginning of love. Whether you like someone or not is the same as whether you love someone or not; you have to ask your heart."

"My heart?" Hermione repeated Praris's words in confusion.

Praris nodded slowly: "Yes, your heart. One day, you will find that you will love him. No one but him."

Hermione eagerly raised her hand: "What does 'it's none other than him' mean? How is it defined?"

“Deep down you know that there are millions of people in the world who are better than him,” Praris said gently but firmly. “Even if he weren’t as good as these people, you would still choose him—without hesitation.”

Hermione nodded, seemingly understanding. "Can I understand it this way: the greatest white wizard in the world is Dumbledore. If someone had the chance to be with Dumbledore, but that person chose someone else in front of Dumbledore, is that what you mean?"

Prareas took a deep breath at this bold metaphor.

What does she mean?

What she meant was that before that, this person would be killed by Grindelwald... No, Diagon Alley bookworm Heidi, please get out of my head!

“Well—you could say that,” Praris replied reluctantly. “Actually, you could have used someone else as an example.”

Hermione immediately felt she understood completely: "I get it. Even if this person has many flaws compared to others, I will accept their existence... because I love him."

“You could say that,” Praris said methodically. “Of course, a person can also be brilliant and flawless—our hearts are the only measure.”

Hermione nodded absently.

"What?" Prarese teased Hermione. "Got an idea? Don't tell me it's Ron Weasley."

"Why?" Hermione asked in surprise.

Prareas waved his hands dismissively: "Just like you think of Draco. In my eyes, Ron Weasley has as many flaws as his children."

“Don’t say that!” Hermione stopped her from mocking the number of Weasleys.

Prareas imitated Draco, whistling in a sleazy manner.

Hermione almost couldn't help but laugh, and it took her a while to suppress her expression.

“I think… you don’t need to dislike that person,” Hermione said softly. “It’s Viktor—but only a little!”

Hermione told Prarese that Viktor was the first to express his appreciation for Hermione when no one else had noticed her good qualities.

“I thought no one had invited me,” Hermione said, her voice tinged with seriousness. “But he saw me, he admired my pursuit of knowledge, and he complimented me on how I looked at the ball…”

Hermione didn’t dare look at Prarese as she said these words: “He gave me a pot of cornflowers after the ball… He said I looked like a cornflower.”

Prarese had no idea how happy she was—she was genuinely happy for Hermione!

One of the meanings of the cornflower is humility in learning, which perfectly matches Hermione's character. Another meaning of the cornflower is encountering happiness.

Hermione clasped her hands together: "Viktor has shown me that I am not someone to be taken for granted. I am the best, his first choice."

After the Triwizard Tournament, Hermione and Krum exchanged letters.

Krum wasn't good at English and wasn't very talkative, but he learned English for Hermione. Krum wasn't used to having his picture taken, but he sent Hermione photos of himself winning competitions…

Hermione thought that perhaps Krum had many flaws, and perhaps there was a cultural gap between them, but her heart gave her the answer.

Although the OWLs exam results were out, Draco didn't mention it at all in his letter.

He seemed to be concerned about something else.

"Last month, I got an opportunity."

"Or rather, being given a mission."

"I've never told you, and I can't tell you what it is now. In short, it was a very, very special opportunity."

"Everyone... who caused my father to go to Azkaban, who ruined our family's reputation, and who looked down on us... will pay the price."

Draco's handwriting was no longer messy, but it had become somewhat sharp.

Praris clutched the letter tightly, feeling somewhat uneasy.

She sensed a change in Draco's psychology that was beyond her comprehension.

Opportunity...and mission—these phrases inevitably reminded her of Voldemort.

However, as is well known, both Death Eaters and the Order of the Phoenix are only eligible to join after reaching adulthood.

Even though Winnie was exceptionally talented in her youth, she didn't officially become a Death Eater until she was nearing graduation in seventh grade.

No, no.
