On that day at the Department of Mysteries, Snape even told all the members of the Order of the Phoenix that Harry had left the school to make sure Sirius was safe.

Ms. Priscilla has returned to 12 Grimmauld Place, and Sirius is now on her protection. If Snape hadn't provoked Sirius, why would he have acted impulsively?

Harry selectively ignored the fact that Snape had asked someone to rescue them, and also ignored the fact that he had personally witnessed his father and Sirius bullying Snape.

Snape had hurt him too much, and he had hated Snape for far too long.

Otherwise, he couldn't continue to hate Snape. Otherwise, he would find it difficult to face his father's mistakes and Sirius Black.

Prarese, who was being discussed by the three, went to see Dumbledore again at the appointed time.

She lined up the three bottles in front of Dumbledore.

Praris sat upright in front of him, like a very polite kitten: "Sir, we have prepared some potions to address the curse you have encountered."

She pointed to the first one: "This was made by Professor Snape."

Snape certainly didn't want to cooperate! He and Dumbledore seemed to have already discussed what to do—but Prares was just too annoying.

For the first time in over a decade, Snape had this thought when facing Prarese:

Why do people raise children?

Would you want to raise one that would drive you crazy?

Why did Sylvia want to have children?

Is this her revenge on me?

Snape ultimately couldn't come up with an answer.

With a gloomy face, he mocked Praris for wasting his time while simultaneously crafting a potion that might alleviate the curse.

Praris pointed to the remaining two bottles: "These are what I made, uh—I'm sure you won't have any adverse reactions after drinking them."

—But whether it will be effective is another matter.

Snape's potion was a colorless, transparent bottle, while Prareus's was a dark green bottle and a dark purple bottle... both of which were bubbling.

It seems that some mental preparation is needed before taking Prares's medication.

Prareas looked up at Dumbledore and asked earnestly, "Would you like to give it a try?"

Prareas had no idea what Dumbledore had been thinking about all this time.

But she did not regret squeezing out time to persuade Professor Snape and study the two vials of medicine while trying to defeat Harry.

Through Dumbledore's half-moon spectacles, a pair of black eyes and a pair of blue eyes gazed intently at each other.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't Legilimency; Dumbledore doesn't have that much of a desire for control.

He was just thinking, and she was just waiting.

Dumbledore sighed deeply and said kindly, "Plares, what reason do I have to refuse?"

What reason does he have to refuse a child's sincere efforts for his life?

Before a person truly chooses to walk towards death, there is a long road ahead. This road is a bloody road of choosing to kill oneself.

Therefore, Dumbledore was unwilling to tell anyone except Snape about his plans.

Dumbledore can be afraid too.

He was afraid he would hesitate.

But Pralis saw it, and it could no longer be completely hidden. Although she didn't know Dumbledore's full plan, she had already begun her mission to save him without hesitation.

Dumbledore recalled his conversation with the Sorting Hat.

Why was she assigned to Slytherin?

“I’m not mistaken, she could indeed have become a ruthless person back then.”

"It was fate and her own choices that prevented her from becoming that kind of person."

Faced with countless choices, Praris had the opportunity to become an evil wizard.

She was abandoned by her Muggle father, bullied by Muggle nuns, had countless evil thoughts, her mind was filled with countless dark magic spells, she was surrounded by pure-blood wizards, and almost all the people she loved were Death Eaters.

But she didn't do that.

She was among a group of Muggles, and even though she suffered countless hardships because of magic, she never thought of denying the fact that she possessed magic (which could very likely have led to her becoming an Obscurial). Instead, she pondered how to coexist with this power.

Slytherin is not without such people. Andromeda was born into the Black family and studied at Slytherin, but she followed her heart and became an outcast who was expelled from the family.

Dumbledore picked up Snape's bottle of medicine and drank it all in one gulp.

He had no intention of abandoning his plan to die, but a secret expectation quietly ignited in his heart—even though he didn't even understand what he was expecting.

"How was it?" Praris's eyes sparkled as she asked expectantly, "How did it feel?"

“I don’t seem to feel anything.” Dumbledore looked at the three empty medicine bottles with a complicated expression. “But I think…”

Praris picked up where he left off: "You want to..."

“Your medicine,” Dumbledore said earnestly, “would be better if the taste could be improved.”

Praris said expressionlessly, "Headmaster Dumbledore!"

Dumbledore laughed heartily: “Thank you, Prares! Although it doesn’t taste very good… but I don’t mind if you continue to ‘torture’ me.”

“If it doesn’t taste good, you wouldn’t want to keep drinking it,” Praris said. “If we had succeeded sooner, you wouldn’t have had to keep drinking this awful potion, would you?”

Prarese examined Dumbledore's fingers one last time before leaving with the empty medicine bottle.

Behind Dumbledore, Phineas Black gleefully boasted to the other headmasters, "Look, our Slytherin students are always so talented—what's her name?"

“Phineas,” Delis de Winter said helplessly, “this child has been here before, his name is Praris Prince.”

Amando Dippert teased Phineas: "You were fast asleep at the time!"

As soon as Praris descended to the basement level, she saw Astoria waving at her: "Praris! Eliza is looking for you!"

The lower-grade student named Eliza said to Praris, "Prince, Professor Slughorn has invited you to his party!"

Eliza left after delivering her message, without even wondering whether Praris would participate.

Astoria asked curiously, "Play! What kind of party is that?"

“You naughty girl, who taught you that? No manners at all.” Prareas put her arm around Astoria like Stella had around her. “It was just a chat, a very boring party. Where’s Jones?”

Astoria was a little downcast. She said sullenly, "Play, Kiki's mother doesn't want her to continue studying at Hogwarts."

"Why?" Praris asked, somewhat surprised.

“Because of the Mysterious Man,” Astoria said. “Mrs. Jones saw those wanted posters and heard those rumors in Diagon Alley.”

Grace had a big argument with her mother about this and insisted on continuing to go to school.

She's been at Hogwarts for almost three years! She's gotten used to the magical world and has made some true friends.

Hogwarts is her second home, how can she just give it up?

Mrs. Jones couldn't bear to let her daughter live in danger; she was so worried that she couldn't sleep and sighed constantly.

But how could a mother resist the whims of her beloved child? Mrs. Jones still allowed Grace to return to Hogwarts.

Grace won.

But she could not forget her mother's sad eyes, nor could she forget her mother's repeated instructions before she left.

Grace hesitated before saying to Astoria, "Lia, tell me... did I do something wrong?"

"You really want to drop out of school?" Astoria asked in surprise. "But... but... where can you go if you drop out?"

Grace said, "Go to a Muggle high school!"

"Have you made up your mind?" Astoria's eyes widened. "You've already decided where you're going... You've been planning to leave Hogwarts for a long time?"

Astoria couldn't believe it at all. She said sadly, "Gigi, what am I going to do now that you're gone?"

"I didn't say I was leaving!" Grace quickly took out a handkerchief and kept wiping Astoria's tears. "Even if I leave, you'll have other friends in the future!"

“I won’t!” Astoria cried. “You’ve already figured out what to do with me! And you said you didn’t want to leave!”

Grace's attempt to cover up her mistake only made things worse: "Oh dear! I really didn't mean that!"

Grace couldn't explain it clearly, so she could only swear to Astoria through her tears that she would not leave Hogwarts.

Even if she has to leave, she will tell Astoria that she will not leave without saying goodbye.

Astoria said to Praris, "I know she must have thought about leaving Hogwarts, otherwise she wouldn't have told me without thinking where she could go or that I would have other friends."

"So?" Praris patted her head. "What are you going to do?"

"Of course I'll keep Kiki here, no matter what it takes!" Praris saw Astoria's gaze so sharp for the first time. "Kiki is my friend, and I won't let her leave me!"

Praris said softly, "Aren't you afraid she'll be in danger? She's a Muggle witch."

“She’s my friend! She’s mine! I will protect her!” Astoria said firmly, “unless you kill me!”

Chapter 150 Struggle and Determination

Praris chuckled softly and said meaningfully to Astoria, "Lia, have you ever considered that perhaps this is selfish?"

For Slytherins, selfishness is nothing, it could even be considered a Slytherin "virtue," but the problem is...

“I know she’s your good friend. She chose you, and you chose her. Because of your deep friendship, you can’t bear to let her go.”

"With the mysterious man gaining power, the Muggle witches face only two possibilities: good fortune or misfortune. Good fortune may one day turn into misfortune. Have you considered that your choices now could lead to her misfortune at some point in the future?"

The current Leah is the same as the former Winnie.

Prarese hopes that the seed of equality will sprout in Lydia's heart, but she does not want her to become the next Winnie, suffering the same pain as the next Ms. Prie.

This is a great opportunity, Praris thought.

Whether Astoria's stance can be completely changed depends on this moment.

Astoria bit her lip, a conflict flashing in her eyes.

There was no doubt that she wanted to keep Grace, but what she wanted was a lively, energetic Grace.

She covered her face and said hesitantly, "I don't know, Praris, I don't know."

“I want Kiki—Grace—to stay, and I don’t want her to get hurt. I will protect her, but I don’t know if I can.”
