“I have a special section in the Wizarding Family Gazette where I share my family’s magic!” Winnie said happily.
Praris received a copy of the Wizarding Family Gazette as a gift from Miss Winnie.
Praris exclaimed in admiration, "You are truly a very powerful wizard. In fact, your magic is very strong. If you were to modify your Water Cleansing Spell, it could become a powerful Water Tornado Spell. With enough magic power, you could even artificially alter the weather."
Winnie shook her head: "You may be right, but I don't want to do that. Miss Prince, I've worked at the Ministry of Magic and had my own career. Some people think I'm going astray, doing some trivial family magic. But I'm just trying to make myself happier. I'm very passionate about taking care of myself and making myself happy."
“Every wizard has the right to choose what kind of life they want to live. This is the principle I understood when I made my decision. My strength lies in the fact that I have the courage and ability to give up everything in my past at any time and dare to start over.”
Praris was very grateful to the generous and kind wizard Miss Winnie, who taught Praris how to invent a spell from scratch, how to quickly distinguish the effects and key points of different spells, how to submit articles to newspapers, and how to choose his own life.
True masters often live in seclusion in the city; at the Leaky Cauldron, some seemingly ordinary wizards actually have their own unique stories.
In addition, Praris also has some ways to make money.
There's a beauty and apothecary shop called Primpurnell in Diagon Alley, and Prarese can help Primpurnell prepare potions—it's an easy job for her, since she's not as strict as Professor Snape.
She also submitted articles to newspapers, initially intending to write some serious content, but that didn't find a market.
So she went all out and dug up some obscure legends from dusty old books in the library, aiming to scare people. She herself didn't think anyone would read it, since she had also combined some biblical, Greek, and Norse legends, making it a complete hodgepodge.
Unexpectedly, these articles were actually published, and the newspaper even sent her sample copies and payment.
It seems that both Muggles and wizards enjoy these kinds of mystical and inexplicable stories.
Praris happily took his royalties to Florin's Ice Cream Shop and ordered two flavors of ice cream, which resulted in him getting diarrhea.
Tom laughed heartily when he heard this: "Only at times like this do I remember you're still a little girl! Little Pley, children shouldn't eat too many cold drinks!"
Chapter 22 The Most Fascinating Wizard
Praris yawned as he went downstairs.
Yesterday, a witch lent her a copy of "The Secret History of Slytherin," and she couldn't resist reading it all night.
Well, she previously said that wizards liked those made-up little stories, and now she's reading those made-up little stories herself.
"The Slytherin Chronicles" tells the story of Slytherin and the Muggle witch Vera. This book is entirely fictional; it contains no factual basis. Apart from the four leaders, all the characters are fictitious.
The great wizard Slytherin encountered the powerful Muggle witch, Miss Vera, when he was young. He was powerful, proud, and had a bad temper.
But Miss Vera captivated him with her immense strength and lover's abilities, making him fall deeply in love.
Vera opened up another world for him, a world where he was willing to believe, willing to love, and willing to change.
Later, the witch Vera inadvertently revealed her identity to her Muggle family. She was drugged by them, and the priest killed her with a triangular dagger coated with "holy water."
(Don't ask what holy water is; it's not explained in the book.)
Slytherin saved Vera at the crucial moment, but Vera's life was already coming to an end.
She cradled Slytherin's face, hoping he wouldn't persecute Muggles because of her death.
“I was killed by Muggles, but not because they were Muggles.”
Slytherin could only seal Vera away in an ice cave, searching for a way to prolong her life. From then on, he hated betrayal and refused to accept Muggle wizard students.
Praris hurriedly turned to the next page, feeling the story couldn't end like this. If it did, it would be a terrible ending!
There should at least be a storyline where Slytherin resurrects Vera, right?
It must be said, the wizarding world is truly extraordinary. That wretched author wrote on the last page: "Love makes one want to live, love makes one want to die, love leads one to the light, love leads one to darkness." Do readers think Slytherin's choice is what Vera would have wanted? Welcome to the next installment, *The Secret History of Gryffindor*!
end!
Praris was horrified; the break was too painful to bear!
Looking out the window at the first light of dawn, Praris felt that he had stayed up all night.
“Little Pry, you look so sleepy,” Tom said in surprise.
Praris took a vicious bite of his bread and slammed "The Slytherin Chronicles" on the table: "I've been scammed! I'm going to spend a sisco to sue the author of this book!"
"Hahahaha!" A familiar voice rang out.
It was the witch who lent her the book!
Miss Witch fired a wink at her: "I have the next trilogy and six stories with the four giants in various combinations here. Want to see them?"
“No wonder I felt your smile yesterday wasn’t very kind,” Praris thought, realizing he was still too naive.
The witch dramatically covered her mouth: "Merlin, am I not kind? Oh no... yes, you've found out. Then I'll have to kill you to silence you!"
Tom shook his head disapprovingly: "You always find a kid to fool every year, Heidi, really. But this isn't popular anymore, is it? What was that writer's name again in yesterday's paper?"
“Giddon Lockhart,” Heidi scoffed. “My sisters are all obsessed with him. But if you ask me, Mr. Fox’s books are better, even though they’re from when I was a kid.”
Heidi's fans are speaking out!
Fox? Prarese remembered that the author's name was "Fox," but without the last name.
This seems more like a pen name than a real name. However, there are indeed people whose last name is "Fox".
“Tell me about Lockhart,” Praris asked curiously. “What does he write?”
Heidi tried hard to recall: "Some books on fighting dark magical creatures? If you ask me, if he had that ability, he was born in the wrong era. If he had been born ten or twenty years earlier, the Mystic would have met a capable opponent."
Tom shook his head: "It's all in the past. If you're interested, Little Pley, you can go check out Banlin's place. He seems to have gotten a batch of Lockhart's books."
Is he a wizarding writer whose skills rival those of Voldemort?
Praris became somewhat interested.
However, she still needed to get her beauty serum filled in the afternoon, so after finishing her meal, she headed to the beauty serum shop.
On her way, she passed by Flourish and Blotts and found the bookstore packed with people, a rare sight indeed.
Ms. Primpurnell, whom Praris calls Ms. Primpurnell, has a very lucrative business; a single bottle of her beauty serum costs at least one gallon.
Miss Winnie is a good friend of Ms. Prie, and they often chat about things that women talk about.
“Little Prie, oh! Thank you, I like this.” Ms. Prie gently took the afternoon tea that Prarese had brought. “Darling, do you see the bookstore over there? My friend said Mr. Lockhart is very handsome.”
Praris nodded. "There's a huge crowd at the bookstore, but I've heard he's done this a few more times. Did you see my gloves?"
"I took it to be cleaned, you can use mine for now."
Ms. Priscilla opened the box, placed the afternoon tea on the table, and invited Winnie to enjoy it with her.
“My dear Winnie, I’ve heard that Mr. Lockhart is also a Ravenclaw. Have you met him?” Ms. Prie asked.
Winnie rested her chin on her hand, deep in thought. "You're really putting me in a difficult position. How many years has it been since I graduated? I think I've heard of him before. You know, I know some other writers, even though I'm just a copywriter. He seems to have some kind of title?"
"What title?" Praris asked as she stirred. "Someone like Professor Snape, a recognized Potions Master?"
"No, no, no!" Winnie cried, her face turning pale. "Absolutely not!"
After a while, when Winnie and Ms. Prie had been studying the new nail polish for quite some time, she suddenly looked up and said, "I remember now! No wonder I felt like I remembered him!"
"He has a book called 'Giddro Lockhart teaches you how to get rid of pests in your home'!"
Winnie suddenly realized!
Prarese is washing the equipment. Ms. Prarese's requirements are not high, but she insists that all the equipment must be clean, and that it must be thoroughly cleaned after each use before starting again, even if the same reagent is used in both uses.
"This concerns the girls' appearance!" This is Ms. Prie's principle and bottom line.
Praris almost burst out laughing: "So what's his title, the friend of housewives?"
Ms. Prie and Miss Winnie couldn't help but laugh: "Haha, that sounds good, little Prie!"
Winnie took a while to stop laughing and shook her head: "No, he won the Most Charming Smile Award from Wizarding Weekly five times. Everyone calls him the Most Charming Wizard."
Praris was completely bewildered.
Is there something slightly off about you Ravenclaws?
Ms. Priscilla stood up, stretched out her hands, and gave a wicked smile: "Little Priscilla, darling, you're done! Want to receive my services? I can make you the most charming witch!"
Praris shook his head frantically, waving his hands repeatedly: "No, no, no, I mean, this title is too high-class, I'm not qualified to enjoy it. I think Miss Winnie is more suitable, look how beautiful she is!"
Ms. Priscilla, your elegant and beautiful image has been ruined!
Winnie crossed her arms and shook her head repeatedly: "No, no, no, I booked a beginner-level beauty treatment, a beginner-level one!"
After lunch break, Ms. Prie's guests began to arrive one after another.
She usually keeps Ms. Priscilla's medication in stock, but some customers have special requests, which requires her to be flexible in the dispensing room.
Such situations are rare; Praris can slack off in the medication preparation room and do his homework.
In summary, it's a very comfortable job; it requires some technical skills but the workload isn't heavy.
Ms. Priscilla is a witch who knows how to enjoy life, as can be seen from her relationship with Winnie. These two women, who both value quality of life, hit it off immediately and became inseparable.
Ms. Prie closed the door, hung up the "Not Open During Business Hours" sign, and led Praris outside.
Mrs. Priscilla placed her hand on Praris's waist: "Darling, I've been living alone since I graduated from Hogwarts. Of course, there are also the witches I see every day. You'll understand, you'll be much happier when your life is filled with lovely girls."
“I lived with many girls when I was a child, but I wasn’t happy,” Praris couldn’t help but say.
Ms. Priscilla smiled and gently tapped her forehead: "Darling, that means there are still men who shouldn't be in the place where you live."
Yes, Ms. Priscilla was indeed an extreme witch. Praris didn't entirely agree with her views, but she respected Ms. Priscilla's lifestyle.
At least she is really happy, and that's all that matters.
Praris bid farewell to Mrs. Prie in front of Mrs. Padif's teahouse and turned to walk toward the Leaky Cauldron.
Everyone has the right to choose their own life, just like Miss Winnie, just like Ms. Priscilla, just like herself.
Miss Winnie's decision to give up a respectable job was perplexing, Ms. Priscilla's shop, which only served witches, was also met with criticism, and Prader's escape from the monastery did not receive Professor Snape's full support.
But they are all on a path to pursuing their own happy life, even though it is not easy.
Praris passed by the Owl Post Office and picked up his letters: one from Millison, one from Hogwarts, and one from Professor Snape.
Praris sat on the bed and opened the letter.
Millison had another argument with her mother because her final grades were not good.
“I wish I had half your intelligence!” Millison wrote in the letter.
Praris: Abandon!
The Hogwarts letter is the textbook for the next semester.
