Is he going to praise Prarese for embodying the Slytherin spirit, especially in his adherence to the rules when it comes to breaking them?
“Wait a minute, I have a question!” Harry suddenly stood up and said, “Plares, the Half-Blood Prince… is she a girl?”
Before he even reached the door, Praris slowly turned around and looked at him meaningfully: "Don't force me to beat you up again—believe me, you don't want to know who the Half-Blood Prince is. It's best if you don't continue to investigate this matter."
Harry isn't afraid of fighting, but he doesn't want to fight Praris.
Hermione's words brought up all the kindness Praris had shown them that Harry had overlooked, and he couldn't afford to ignore it now.
But before that, Hermione accidentally discovered a photo of "Eileen Prince," whom she thought was some kind of aunt of Prince's father.
Think about it, Ms. Prie's last name is Purnell, so the surname "Prince" probably comes from Praris's father. What a coincidence! Eileen Prince is just the right age to be Praris's great-aunt.
Harry disagreed: "A half-blood prince? He's a prince! How could he be a girl?"
"Come on, as long as Irene is Prarese's great-aunt, that's fine," Hermione said unhappily. "You just think girls can't do things like this, but Prarese can, right?"
When Harry saw Praris come in, a thought popped into his head—why didn't he ask the person involved?
Now it seems, well, there's no point in asking at all! Praris wouldn't mind a duel with him.
To be honest, Harry thinks witches are far more ruthless than wizards. Just look at Prader, Hermione, and Ginny—none of them are easy to mess with!
Not long after, Snape returned.
Harry deliberately didn't warn him that Prader had been there, but Snape immediately noticed the magic in the desk drawer. He easily broke the spell, took out the envelope, and frowned.
Harry thought Snape would open the envelope, but Snape didn't, and he had no intention of leaving the envelope open after Harry left.
He grabbed the envelope and hurried out, as if some three-headed dog was chasing him.
Slytherin girls' dormitory.
Praris crouched beside the bed and pulled her tattered suitcase from under it. She deactivated the protective magic and anti-locking spells on it, unlocked the latch, and revealed a variety of rare potions inside.
She closed her eyes, but her eyeballs twitched slightly beneath her eyelids, indicating a restless state. After a while, she finally opened her eyes and took a small potion bottle from her suitcase.
This is familiar to anyone who has taken Slughorn's Potions class. It is also familiar to Draco.
This is Fructus Felicis.
In the face of the impending crisis, Prarese has too many people she wants to protect, but she only has one dose of Felix Felicis.
Ah, perhaps some people will say, why not brew more FLORS? Why not cook a big pot of FLORS like seafood soup on the dinner table!
Yeah, why?
Why are its raw materials so expensive and difficult to obtain, and why is its production cycle so long and its production method so complicated?
It's been less than a year since Ha used up her last bottle of Felix Felicis last summer. What's more, during this time she's also created spiritual potions, dream potions, and limb regeneration potions!
Even if Merlin were alive today, he might not be able to brew a second dose of Felix Felicis under such circumstances.
Praris reasonably deduced that no matter how rampant the Death Eaters were, they wouldn't raid Hogwarts during the day. And at night, the student dormitories were guarded with passwords at the gates.
Therefore, those who truly need Felix Felicis are those who must have participated in the events of that day.
Prareas actually wanted to give the Felix Felicis to Professor Snape, not Draco. But this man didn't believe in fate or luck, and he disdained the power brought by such external forces.
Otherwise, he would have cooked himself a huge feast long ago.
So Prareas went to the school infirmary again and said to Draco, "I'll trade you something."
"What do you want?" Draco asked without hesitation. "I'll give it to you!"
Prarese said, "The thing on your neck."
Draco was stunned. He wore a necklace with a small vial of Felix Felicis hanging from the bottom, and two rings strung on the vial.
"You..." Draco stammered, "What do you want?"
Praris reached out like a pirate: "All of them."
"No!" Draco suddenly refused forcefully. "You can have the ring, you can have everything... but not the Felix Felicis."
Draco should have been overjoyed, but now he had to protect what he thought was a token of their love.
For a moment, he didn't even have time to be happy.
Chapter 189 Waiting
Praris looked down at him, her voice seeming to come from the other side of an endless wilderness. She said, "I'll switch with you, I'll switch to a real one."
Prarese put the ring engraved with "PP" on her own neck, and put the ring engraved with "DM" back on Draco's neck.
Praris's gaze was gentle and sorrowful as she stroked the calluses on Draco's hands, then placed the small bottle hidden in her own palm into Draco's.
"Is this really Felix Felicis?" Draco's eyes flashed with surprise.
Praliss and Narcissa have something in common: they both have a set of principles that determine what Draco should or shouldn't have. This makes Draco unhappy, as he always feels they treat him like a child.
“That’s right,” Praris said, her eyes downcast. “Cofluid doesn’t necessarily bring good luck. It only helps you do the right thing at the right time. In other words, you are still you, just a you in a very good state.”
Draco grabbed Praris's hand as she tried to pull it back: "Why? I don't believe you'd give me Felix Felicis so easily. I don't believe it!"
Emotions flow from the heart throughout the body, finally spilling out from the eyes. Eyes meet, and emotions flow from one heart to another, touching the other's burning passion.
Praris touched the necklace and said in a commanding tone, "Here's the Felix Felicis. Come back alive, and then we'll exchange rings—can you do that?"
Draco seemed to realize something, and his breathing became a little rapid. He asked, "And what about you?"
In Draco's mind, the last time he asked Prares for Felix Felicis was more than six months ago.
At that time, Prarese knew he was doing something dangerous, but he did not grant his request for Felix Felicis.
Now that Prareus has only given him half a bottle of Felix Felicis, how can Draco believe that Prareus still has more?
How could Draco possibly believe that Dumbledore wouldn't entrust Prareth—this powerful witch—with a significant task on the night that was about to begin?
"Worried about me?" Praris chuckled easily. "I won't die before you, otherwise what if you cry me back to life?"
In the end, Draco refused to give the empty bottle to Praris. He said, "If you give it to me, it's mine."
Pralis couldn't understand Draco's penchant for collecting bottles. She forcefully gave him two choices: either Draco would give her the old bottle, or he would pour the medicine into it.
Draco chose the latter.
Even Praris didn't know when the plan would begin.
"Can't we just destroy the Vanishing Cabinet?" Prareus asked Snape. "I can find it, destroy it, and no one can get into Hogwarts."
Snape said calmly, "Miss, do you expect Draco to survive the Dark Lord by killing Dumbledore?"
Praris shook his head blankly.
Snape said calmly, "Even without this plan, the Dark Lord would have other plans. At the very least, we know almost everything about this plan now."
“Trust Dumbledore, that’s the only thing we can do.” Snape placed his hands on her shoulders. “Remember what you were supposed to do?”
“I don’t remember, sir,” Praris said slowly. “If you had this half-bottle of Felix Felicis with you, I would remember.”
Snape sneered, "Believe in this stuff? I think you're going back to your old ways!"
“I don’t believe it, sir,” Praris pleaded. “But you can’t be so cruel as to leave me with the possibility of having no blood relatives at all.”
Snape instantly tossed his cloak aside and walked to the window.
In May, as the dry season approaches, the water level of Black Lake gradually drops, revealing three-quarters of the view outside the window.
Prarese placed the bottle of Felix Ferulic on the table and backed toward the office door.
As they walked, she said, "Sir, summer is coming. We'll have another summer, won't we?"
Snape suddenly said, "I wasn't planning on writing to you at first."
“You’ve met those kinds of people. They pity you as if you were some unwanted stray cat or dog, and you should be grateful for whatever they feed you.” Snape sneered. “Your mother and your grandfather were those kinds of people.”
“They disgust me, so I ignored your mother’s letter,” Snape said casually. “It was Dumbledore who told me to keep you, understand?”
“I don’t understand, sir,” Praris said.
"Foolish! What else do I need to say?" Snape growled with his back to her. "Your mother and grandfather see me this way, and I see you this way too—I've raised you like a kitten or a puppy, and you're actually concerned about my life or death?"
“Yes, sir,” Praris said bluntly, “I can’t help it, I’m just that kind of fool. If you were to die, I would be very sad for you.”
“You know what? Some lonely Muggles die, their houses are auctioned off by the government, and their cats and dogs often come back to the house they used to live in together.” Praris’s voice was a little hoarse. “But I haven’t been to your house yet—what if you die, I won’t be able to find my way.”
Snape let out a long sigh: "Get out."
Prarese said, "Felix Felicis..."
"Get out of here now!" Snape roared.
Prarese unlocked the door behind his back, silently retreated, and thought to himself: Professor Snape is really unpredictable...
In the still of the night.
Time had quietly slipped to the last minute before curfew, but Praris was still sitting on the sofa.
In the evening, Dumbledore told her in advance that Draco was highly likely to act that night. But he didn't tell Pralis why. He probably used some method to make Draco believe it was the perfect opportunity.
Sure enough, Draco didn't return to his dormitory by curfew. Prareas activated her two-way mirror, but the other holder wasn't Hermione.
She took the mirror back and gave it to Professor Snape.
Then I got a scolding.
“Professor Sprout bought it for me,” Prarese said stubbornly. “She didn’t think there was anything wrong with it.”
The two-way mirror didn't show the other person's face, but it flickered—Snape indicating he knew. Prareas guessed there was someone else on the other side of the mirror, perhaps another professor who wanted to see him.
Then she closed her eyes and waited for dawn.
Yes, that's all Praris should do this night—wait.
Half of what she was supposed to do had already been completed by the last moment, while the other half was far from the time when she should take action.
“This is my mission?” Praris shook his head incredulously. “Though I hate to admit it, I’m also a DA. How many casualties can the Order of the Phoenix avoid if you let me out? I can kill far more people than you think!”
Dumbledore shook his head calmly: "Prareth, you will play a role, but not quite as you imagine."
"Are you afraid I'll expose my identity?" Praris asked, puzzled. "I have enough of the compound decoction for several days."
“No,” Dumbledore said with a smile, “not so. You must live safely until after I die.”
"Is this Professor Snape's request?" Prareas suddenly asked.
