Wolfgang used to work at the same publishing house as Heidi, while Riley was a clerk at Eeyore's Owl Shop. They met at the Leaky Cauldron, fell in love, married, and had a daughter soon after.

This blissful life lasted a long time; the owner of the owl shop even allowed little Carter to play in the shop. Riley continued working and caring for her daughter, living a simple and happy life.

One day, it was Riley's turn to close the shop. After work, she carried her daughter and walked towards the publishing house.

There was no moon that night, but a few shops on the street were still open, illuminating the way for Carter and her daughter to find Wolfgang.

"Mommy," little Carter, who loves animals, pointed in a direction with his chubby finger, "Big dog."

Riley was exhausted, but she still responded to Carter, "Baby, don't point your finger..."

Her eyes suddenly widened in terror, and she screamed, instinctively running back. But how could a two-legged person carrying a child possibly outrun a four-legged werewolf?

After the werewolves left, the shopkeepers next door finally mustered the courage to open their doors and take Carter and her daughter to St. Mungo's. Their treatment was timely, and the healers did their best, but the mother and daughter still became werewolves.

Because of his werewolf identity, Riley lost his job, and his daughter suffered a mental breakdown as a result. The publishing house owner subtly persuaded Wolfgang to resign so he could take care of his wife and daughter... The Carter family was plunged into despair.

“We are very grateful to Master Damocles,” Wolfgang said, “but we had two werewolves in our household, and wolfsbane potion was too expensive. Soon, we were separated from normal wizarding society and forced to live with other werewolves.”

Wolfgang is a normal person. Even within the werewolf community, his family is still considered an outcast by many werewolves, and he constantly hopes to return to a normal life.

Fortunately, this hope became a reality after the invention of inexpensive wolfsbane medicine.

At this point, Wolfgang covered his mouth, wiped his face hastily, and said, "Master Prince, Aberforth told us that he knows you."

He bowed deeply, head bowed, and shouted, "Railley and I are here today on behalf of the werewolves who have been able to live normal lives because of you—we thank you! Thank you for your kindness, thank you for seeing our poor and unfortunate family!"

Praris hurriedly helped Wolfgang up and said softly, "Mr. Carter, there's no need to thank me."

"Potion research is for the benefit of wizards. Whether it's you or me, we are both wizards striving for a better life... It is my honor to be able to bring you closer to happiness."

Upon hearing this, Riley stood up and said somewhat excitedly, "May I... hug you, Miss Prince?"

As soon as Riley finished speaking, her husband quickly tugged at her hem, reminding her that she was still a werewolf.

Riley said somewhat awkwardly, "I...I was just saying!"

“Of course,” Praris said.

Riley looked up in surprise.

Praris opened her arms and repeated, "Of course, Ms. Riley."

Riley rushed forward and hugged Prince tightly. She cried, "Miss Prince, we've always imagined what you'd be like! The real you is even better than we imagined, so wonderful..."

Riley and Wolfgang took turns thanking Prarese, who in turn expressed his goodwill to the couple without reservation, completely disregarding Riley's own shortcomings.

Half an hour later, Dumbledore and Prarees saw the Carters off.

The couple parted reluctantly, and Riley hugged Praris one last time.

Wolfgang gripped Dumbledore's hand tightly and said sincerely, "Aberforth, thank you so much! Riley and I will tell everyone what we have seen and heard—Lupin is right, we need normal lives, but not at the cost of bloodshed."

Wolfgang put his arm around Riley's shoulder and gradually disappeared from their sight.

Praris calmly uttered three words: "Satisfied?"

“It couldn’t be more perfect,” Dumbledore said with a pleasant tone. “I even think the position of Potions Professor is already limiting you—why not consider having me recommend you for the Ministry of Magic?”

Praris looked him up and down, then sneered, "The Ministry of Magic is now Death Eaters' territory, isn't it, Mr. Aberforth?"

Dumbledore burst into laughter.

He walked slowly to the table and sat down, his eyes shining brightly: "Lupin helped us loosen some of the werewolves' ideas, but the one who can really change their stance is you—Praris."

“You’re well aware of my relationship with Aberforth,” Dumbledore said with a smile. “He’s in constant contact with all sorts of people. I asked him to claim to some werewolves who are closer to normal wizarding society that he could arrange a meeting with you…”

Some of these werewolves have been able to return to normal lives. They themselves became werewolves because of bloody attacks and do not approve of extreme werewolves like Greyback. Under Lupin's persuasion, their stance has begun to lean towards the Order of the Phoenix.

Upon hearing the request, Aberforth carefully selected a story and told Wolfgang, who was drinking in a bar, that he knew Miss Prince. He said all Wolfgang needed to do was bring him some interesting news to amuse him, and he would give Wolfgang a chance to meet his benefactor.

Wolfgang had no doubts whatsoever—Aberforth had done his fair share of brokerage and intermediary work before—and readily agreed.

Dumbledore said calmly, "Ryley was the first to try the cheap wolfsbane potion. And Wolfgang recommended it to other werewolves. He still does so to this day."

Because of Wolfgang, the Carter family is not accepted by the extreme werewolves.

It is for this reason that they know which werewolves are the ones who can be swayed—those werewolves who have accepted their recommendations, and those werewolves who have returned to normal society under the influence of the drug.

Chapter 209 includes me.

Werewolves aren't fools; they're not easily persuaded with just a few words.

The werewolf faction is subtly splitting into two factions:

Half of them are werewolves, represented by Greyback, who believe that only through bloodshed can fairness and freedom be achieved. They despise the control of the Ministry of Magic but are also tempted by Voldemort's interests.

The other half, represented by Riley, consisted of werewolves who believed that freedom and equality should be achieved peacefully. These werewolves felt that they had suffered misfortune because of the indiscriminate attacks of other werewolves, and how could they pass on such misfortune?

With just a small amount of money, one can obtain inexpensive wolfsbane potion, gradually gain acceptance in wizarding society, and regain employment. Why bite people then? When income increases, one can purchase Damocles' wolfsbane potion to make the nights of the full moon more pleasant.

A few years ago, Riley took Prince's wolfsbane potion to the owner of the Eeyore Owls and convinced him that he could afford the potion to become a normal wizard.

The boss hesitated, but out of guilt for firing Riley years ago and out of trust in Praris's potions, he reluctantly gave Riley a job in the kitchen preparing meals for the magical creatures in the store.

Riley's success stirred up many werewolves, which was the beginning of the werewolf peace faction.

This time, the peace-loving werewolves still chose Riley because she was trustworthy and her family was special enough: a normal wizard husband, a werewolf wife, and a werewolf daughter with a mental illness.

Lupin's lobbying did sway some werewolves, but that wasn't enough—anyone can talk their way out of a situation.

The one who truly brought about change for them was Prarese Prince.

When Prarese said those moving words, Riley was so touched that she had a bold idea: she wanted to hug the benefactor who had given her a new life.

As soon as the words left her mouth, Riley regretted it, thinking, "How could I have made such a difficult request?"

Without the slightest hesitation, Praris smiled gently and opened his arms.

At that moment, Riley, who had no faith, seemed to feel the same longing that believers had.

Miss Prince's eyes were so gentle and calm that Riley felt as if he wasn't a werewolf anymore, but still the ordinary witch.

This is what Riley wanted, and what many werewolves wanted. Peace-loving werewolves don't need pity; they just need to be treated like normal people.

Dumbledore and Prader had guessed at Riley's intentions, but didn't fully understand them. However, both knew that at least half of their goal could be achieved this time.

Praris's eyes flickered a few times: "Sir, this is one of the reasons we were ambushed. Winnie and the pharmacy owner both said that my medicine annoyed the mysterious man."

Now they're probably even more annoyed.

Praliss was somewhat worried that her actions might affect Professor Snape. Although the Man of Voldemort didn't know her true relationship with Professor Snape, the teacher-student relationship was still a connection.

“Of course, that’s possible.” The effects of the Polyjuice Potion were wearing off in Dumbledore. He sat down next to Prareth and said, “Since he’s already paying attention to you and hating you because of this…wouldn’t it be a waste not to do something?”

“How cunning.” Praris raised an eyebrow. “Looks like I still have a lot to learn.”

This whole affair was incredibly coincidental. But Dumbledore was also acting in accordance with his plan, making full use of Prareas's presence to help him unite the werewolves to his side.

“We need to inform Professor Snape about this.” Prareus pondered for a moment and began to take out his two-way mirror.

Dumbledore lowered his head, smiled kindly, and asked her, "It seems—you always address Severus as Professor?"

Praris touched the two-way mirror in her hand, tilted her head and looked at him: "This is good for all of us, don't you think?"

Dumbledore did not answer the question, but said, "You are very much like Severus. You are both very emotional, yet you always show great restraint. But you are much more straightforward and honest than him, which is a good habit."

“In terms of temperance…” Praris suddenly smiled, “I think I am not as good as you.”

Dumbledore turned his head away and remained silent.

Praris said slowly, "Have you read Miss Skeeter's report?"

Then, she said to herself, "It seems you've already seen it."

“I don’t deny any of this, I don’t deny my mistakes.” Dumbledore seemed to have thought a lot, but in the end he just said calmly, “I just don’t want to talk about any of this.”

“Regret, isn’t that why you long for death?” Praris said, her eyes downcast. “Neither Harry nor I have truly convinced you, nor have you truly wanted to live.”

Dumbledore so desperately wanted to die, but Prasris's existence prevented him from dying naturally, denying him the opportunity to incorporate his death into the plan.

So he hoped to do more, to pave a smoother road to success, to reduce the sacrifices, and to accompany Harry on this journey in secret.

The reason for living is sometimes the same reason for dying. This path to success was also Dumbledore's path of no return to death.

He successfully deceived Praris. In fact, he still harbored self-destructive tendencies, but hoped to make his death more valuable, more worthwhile.

It's such a pity...

But what does this have to do with Praris?

Praris spoke in a cold tone, both polite and impolite: "Then please, don't die too soon—make sure you do what you promised me first."

“Of course,” Dumbledore said with a smile.

After countless covert battles and overt collaborations, Prareus and Dumbledore became very familiar with each other.

Dumbledore believed that Prader wasn't simply collecting a debt. Snape had simply made her realize that some choices are beyond the control and change of others.

This child, to some extent, subtly hoped that he would have a reason to live. However, she also inherited her cousin's awkwardness.

Prarese tapped the two-way mirror, and it lit up almost instantly after she tapped it.

"Are you hurt?" Snape asked before his face was even in the center of the mirror.

Praris raised his chin and said, "Of course not, you're just too busy!"

Snape snorted. Indeed, several Death Eaters returned to their hideout, unable to even stand, each claiming they had been poisoned.

Seeing this, Snape sneered inwardly, put on a sour face, gave these people some easy and ineffective potions, and told these "colleagues" to just lie down and "wait for the effects" and that was it.

"Your student is going against us!" Theodore Nott's father, Theodore Nott Sr., shouted angrily. "Look what she's done to us!"

Snape raised an eyebrow and said coldly, "So you mean you introduced yourselves and invited Miss Prince as your master requested, but she beat you up instead—is that right?"

The Death Eaters fell silent.

Okay, they didn't. They just wanted to knock her out and take her away.

“Yes, we didn’t state our intentions, but she attacked us without even thinking about it!” Dolly Burst said through gritted teeth. “Didn’t you ever tell her about your master’s will and the Death Eaters…”

“Borsd! Of course I will not proclaim my master’s will to any of my students!” Snape immediately interrupted her, raising his voice. “My first priority is to obey my master’s orders. If I were as rash as you all, acting recklessly before Dumbledore was even dead, I would never have had the chance to kill him!”

“You’ve ruined your master’s mission—” Snape stood to the side, looking down at them with downcast eyes. “You should think about how you’re going to explain this later.”

Snape had already explained Prares's actions to Voldemort, using rather restrained language.
