"Except your weapons!"

Hermione acted without hesitation, remembering Lockhart's demand: only remove your weapon.

Praris anticipated her movement and dodged the red light without hesitation.

"Leg-Locking Curse!"

Hermione looked somewhat surprised; she seemed incredulous that Praris hadn't used the Exterminator weapon.

Please, the neighbors have already gone all out; they're having a duel!

However, Hermione was clearly very familiar with breaking the Leg-Locking Curse. She reacted quickly, rolled around to dodge the next spell in quick succession, and freed her legs.

Lockhart ran into the crowd shouting, "I told you! It's just to take away your weapons!"

Hermione, wand raised: "Petrify them all!"

Praris countered with a defensive gesture: "Armor Protection!"

Hermione dodged the Ironclad Curse's rebound, but not Praris's next spell: "Expelliarmus!"

Prarese thought she was going to succeed, but Longbottom, who seemed to have rolled out of nowhere, took the disarming spell for Hermione.

Hermione reacted quickly: "Disarm you!"

Confused by Longbottom's antics, Praris didn't react in time and her wand was knocked away.

Hermione smiled, but Praris showed no sign of stopping: "Wand, come here!"

But she doesn't have a wand! How can she cast the Summoning Charm?!

Incredibly, Praris's wand actually returned to her hand, as if everything had gone back to the way it was before the battle.

Not to mention Hermione, Prairie was also surprised. She had read about wandless magic in books, but had never succeeded even once. The last time she had cast a wandless spell was when she couldn't control her own magic, specifically referring to the plates flying around in the monastery.

Whether it was the sudden appearance of Longbottom or the extraordinary performance of the wandless magic, both plot twists seemed like something outrageous and unbelievable, yet they actually happened.

They actually wanted to continue fighting, but Lockhart couldn't take it anymore and stopped the students from continuing the chaotic brawl.

Praris smiled helplessly: "Very brilliant, Granger, you are a worthy opponent."

“You surprised me too,” Hermione said, a little embarrassed. “Actually, I should have lost much longer, if it weren’t for Neville…”

“That’s how battles are; we can never predict what will happen next,” Praris interrupted her. “If you have to put it that way, then I’m the one who broke the rules and caught you off guard.”

A loss is a loss, a win is a win, and a draw is a draw.

Prarese disdained those "what ifs" statements; as long as it didn't happen, she had won. At least, that's how she thought for now.

After saying this, Prarese turned and walked towards Malfoy, pulling him up from the ground. Meanwhile, Professor Snape used a spell to stop Potter from being forced to dance.

Prarees stepped down from the stage, and the Slytherins surrounded her and Malfoy: "It's all that Longbottom's fault! Otherwise, you would have won much sooner!"

Milison, however, didn't care about that. She put her hand on Praris's shoulder and spun her around, asking, "Are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere?"

Praris shook his head: "He's perfectly fine! Where is Malfoy going?"

She saw Draco Malfoy back on stage.

“Lockhart wanted to find someone for a one-on-one fight, so the professor sent Draco.” Pansy chuckled twice. “Now look what happens. Let’s see how Potter will embarrass himself. Draco is sure to beat him to a pulp.”

Milison muttered to himself, "Thank goodness the professor didn't let Praris go up."

Prarese frowned as he saw the professor whispering to Malfoy.

Pralis is stronger now, with more spells at her disposal, but Malfoy is more ruthless. Although she has a lot of dark magic in her head, she won't use it on Potter, who has no grudge against her.

By choosing Malfoy to fight, the professor must have wanted to teach Potter a lesson. He knew that with Pralis's current talent and ability, she was confident she could win in front of so many people and would only choose to defeat him fair and square with magic like a disarming spell.

Wait a minute, a lesson?

Praris's mind flashed back to the firework debris in the Gould's cauldron and the lock on the storage room door. At the time, she was more concerned about the professor's attitude; now it seemed that chaos had occurred during class, and things were only discovered to be missing after class.

This is such a clumsy scheme! These two things were done by the same group of people: one was using a feint to the east while the other was engaging in petty theft.

Praris's lips curled up slightly. What a pity. They had no evidence; it would have been good to teach them a lesson.

"A black dragon emerges from its cave!"

Malfoy released a long black snake, and the students who were nearby screamed and backed away.

Praris was almost bumped into by the person who was walking backwards, but thankfully Milison pulled her back.

On stage, Harry Potter seemed startled and stood frozen in place.

The professor seemed to be in a much better mood and said slowly, "Don't move, Potter, I'll handle it."

Praris looked at the professor strangely. She had thought he was about to pull off something big, but it turned out to be just some harmless attempt to scare him...

Lockhart's voice interrupted Praris's thoughts. He shouted, "Let me do it!" and cast an unknown spell at the black snake.

The black snake did not disappear; instead, it became enraged and hissed as it slithered toward a Hufflepuff.

What happened next shocked everyone: Potter seemed to flick his tongue at the black snake and say something.

Before they could see clearly, Professor Snape stepped forward and broke the spell.

“He’s a Parseltongue,” Millison said incredulously. “Harry Potter is a Parseltongue?!”

Praris searched through his memories for a while before saying, "But shouldn't this be Slytherin's skill? I mean, Salazar Slytherin."

"So Potter is a descendant of Slytherin? Potter is the heir!" Millison exclaimed, his mouth agape.

Sigh! Praris patted her head. She had been too busy these days and hadn't been able to deal with the matter of the heir.

She had initially believed the notebook's original owner was the Heir, and that it had manipulated Ginny Weasley. Now, Potter's Parseltongue had made the Heir affair even more mysterious.

Undoubtedly, Parsley is a unique ability of Slytherin. Therefore, if someone can speak Parsley, they are very likely to be the heir.

So what is a notebook?

Praris began searching the library for creatures capable of petrifying, a task that always seemed to ignite her wits.

"Forbidden to Domesticate Animals for Experimentation," a basilisk... Helpo, a Greek sorcerer who speaks Parsleyan... eats spiders?

Prarese suddenly remembered the spiders she had seen crawling outwards on the wall in the hallway.

"Making direct eye contact with the basilisk will result in death, while indirect eye contact will result in petrification."

Is seeing the basilisk's eyes reflected in a puddle of water considered indirect? Is Crevy's camera lens considered indirect?

Praris sighed. "Alright, alright! Things are a complete mess now."

First, there's Ginny Weasley, who has a dark magic notebook and may be controlled by it to harm others.

Secondly, there are creatures suspected to be basilisks, which are petrified by indirect eye contact and can only be controlled by the basilisk voice.

Finally, there's Parseltongue Potter, who is suspected to be a descendant of Slytherin and has the ability to control snakes.

If all three of the above are true, could it be that the laptop controlled Ginny, allowing Potter to use Parseltongue to control the Basilisk, indirectly petrifying Mrs. Lorris and Colin?

Absolutely impossible; even a third-rate writer couldn't come up with such a ridiculous plot.

Potter grew up in a Muggle family and dared to reveal his Parsleyan speech in public, in the current tense situation.

He probably didn't know the special nature of Parsleyan; he was just eager to save Hufflepuff.

However, she now has a reason to get the Gryffindors (specifically Harry Potter) to "take care" of Ginny Weasley.

If he wants to clear himself of suspicion, he can't help but wonder if there's any truth to what she said.

Ginny Weasley’s unusual behavior can’t be hidden as long as there is suspicion.

Chapter 34 Ambitious

"Draco, you should be happier."

Potter could always sway Malfoy's emotions; if you didn't know better, you'd think he had Malfoy's emotional switch!

Now, Malfoy is brooding over the possibility that Potter might be the Slytherin heir.

Actually, this is not incomprehensible.

Prarese believes that if this were true, the level of horror would be roughly equivalent to believers discovering that the son of the witch who was about to be executed was the next pope chosen by God in a divine intervention.

The future looks utterly bleak!

So Pansy had to find some reason to comfort him: "At least now the people from the other three houses are afraid of Potter."

Malfoy snorted unhappily: "Is it a bad thing to frighten people? Only the weak can put people at ease. I bet Potter is secretly delighted. Now he's made a huge splash in front of the whole school."

Pansy looked at Praris again, as if pleading for help.

Does she think I'm Porter II?

Prarese couldn't help but think that Potter was responsible for driving Malfoy crazy, and she was responsible for shaking Malfoy awake.

Praris shook his head, "No, no, I'll focus on class."

Speaking of Potter, she did want to find an opportunity to meet them alone, but that wouldn't be easy. Just like Malfoy said, Potter was under the spotlight now; everyone was watching him.

What terrified the students even more was that the next victim appeared: Justin Finley, the Hufflepuff saved by Potter, and Nick the Ghost of Gryffindor.

Perhaps because the number of people being attacked was increasing, Praris was less worried. After all, those who had problems shared a common thread: they were "known" to be connected to Muggle families and Squibs. Praris, however, never mentioned his own family.

She may seem cold-blooded, but she really doesn't have much room to maneuver.

Who would believe that a Slytherin could have a heart that wants to save lives?

Amidst this tense atmosphere, Christmas arrived.

As usual, the Christmas dinner was lavish this year, but Prader didn't eat a single Christmas pudding—it was too sweet. Instead, she ate an old-fashioned three-tiered cake called Dwarf Cake, which had fruit fillings and a fresher taste.

When she finished eating and stood up, Crabbe and Goyle were still wolfing down their food. It seemed that every inch of flesh on their bodies hadn't appeared out of thin air.

“You two keep eating!” Malfoy stood up as well. “I don’t want to wait for you. I really don’t know how much longer you’re going to eat.”

Just as Praris was about to head towards Myrtle's restroom, he heard a voice behind him: "Hey, you've been drinking? The common room is over here."

“I’m not going back,” Praris said. “I have other things to do.”

Malfoy strode over to her and said, "I say, aren't you being a little too dedicated? Going to the office for free on Christmas? Did he promise you something in return?"

Praris took two steps forward impatiently and said, "When did your curiosity shift to me? I thought you were only jealous of Gryffindor's savior!"

"I'm jealous of him?" Malfoy's voice suddenly turned sharp, then turned calm again. "Who would be jealous of that orphan, living under someone else's roof, saint Potter!"
