HP North Star's Radiance

Winnie stretched on the sofa: "I was just saying. All the teachers at Hogwarts are bachelors or divorced. I'm not going to Hogwarts."
After saying that, she propped herself up on her arms, raised an eyebrow, and said with a smile, "Is this some kind of Hogwarts curse? Becoming a professor means you won't have a spouse."
Praris couldn't help but laugh: "Teachers can't stand hearing things like that."
"Honey, when are you coming to work?" Ms. Priscilla steered the conversation to something more serious.
Praris said, "It can be done tomorrow."
"No school this Sunday!" Winnie sat up. "Little Pley, are you going to London this weekend? I'd like to take you to my house, we can go shopping in the Muggle shopping street together, and I want to buy some new jewelry!"
The London she was referring to was the Muggle-world's London city proper.
What does London have? —Tulip Street.
Praris smiled and nodded: "Didn't you already say that we weren't allowed to go on weekends? Well, I have no choice but to help you carry the bags."
She always had to leave the snowy nights of the monastery and go to faraway places, to the new spring, to the warm and splendid summer.
Ms. Priscilla was tidying up her bottles and jars when she heard this. She bent down, reached into the counter, pulled out a small bag, and started stuffing things into it.
Whoosh—smack!
The bag was tossed onto the table in front of Praris: "In that case, I'll have to hire you, dear little Praris, to be Winnie's sidekick, otherwise I'm really afraid Winnie will be overwhelmed by all the things she bought."
"I can't..."
"Please!" Ms. Priscilla said softly, "Take good care of Winnie!"
Winnie cried out, "Please! I'm going home, not... Well, Lord Prince, please take care of me!"
She yielded to Ms. Prie's gentle gaze.
There is no time for unhappiness in Diagon Alley.
On weekdays, Ms. Priscilla only opens her shop in the evening.
Praris had a whole day to study, write letters, eat, run from one end of Diagon Alley to the other, lie on a deckchair with a book in hand and watch the time, and slip from the potted plants in the ice cream shop to the eaves.
Mr. Florin loved children, and as Praris requested, he froze the milk into ice cubes, scraped out a large bowl of shaved ice, and let her eat it with a big spoon.
While the kids are on summer vacation, Miss Winnie, a freelance writer, is also taking a summer break herself.
On her days off, Ms. Priscilla kept the shop open all day. Prarese would spend the time there dispensing medicine, reading, and bickering with Miss Winnie.
Miss Winnie is a very talented witch, but she is really naive.
She had her own cup, a super, super big skull-shaped water glass, and it was incredibly heavy. Praris thought it was more like a jar than a cup.
So this lazybones often forgot to bring his own jar and would just pick up a cup from the counter and drink from it.
Ms. Priscilla prepared a small cup especially for Winnie, but Winnie repeatedly forgot which cup was hers. So Ms. Priscilla added the step of washing the cup before and after drinking water.
Knowing that Florin had made Praris a bowl of smoothie, the childish boy went to Florin with a big skull to beg for food.
Mr. Florin said tactfully, "If you had begged me for food fifteen or twenty years ago, I wouldn't have said a word even if you came every day, but now I'm going to call for Purnell at the door."
Florin's tone was as if to say: You brat, I'm going to tell your parents!
The next day, Winnie sat on the threshold of the ice cream shop, eating a large bowl of iced watermelon in a giant skull container, making loud noises as she ate it.
Mr. Florin and Ms. Prie, who bought the watermelon for her, each covered their faces and sighed.
Even at night, Diagon Alley is not deserted, with crowds of people thronging the streets.
Sometimes Praris would inexplicably spread her arms wide in the street, enjoying the summer breeze that made her wizard robes billow.
Sometimes she would go up to the rooftop of the Leaky Cauldron, lie on a deck chair and look at the stars, using the knowledge Professor Sinesta had taught her in astronomy class to identify what kind of star it was and what kind of constellation it was.
She saw Scorpio and Sagittarius, and the brightest star in the northern sky—that was her name, the North Star.
Praris couldn't help but wonder if it was possible that Sylvia Prince had looked at the sky in the same way thirteen years ago and decided to name her daughter after this brightest star in the north.
Does she have special expectations for her, hoping that she can shine like the North Star?
No matter how people and things change, the North Star will always be there, shining brightly on its own.
Thirteen years later, Praris Prince, this lonely child, looks at the same sky under the eternal starlight as his mother, whom he has never met.
On Sunday morning, Praris sat on the ground floor of the Leaky Cauldron bar having breakfast.
Tom cooked her some oatmeal, but even though it was just a bowl of oatmeal, old Tom added two eggs to it, making it a bit too nutritious.
Who told Praris to grow so tall? I thought I'd grow some meat on her, but now she's just a stick figure again.
Winnie sprinkled Floo Powder into the fire, read out her house number in central London, and disappeared into the flames.
Pralis had never used Floo Powder before, but she had read about it in a book, and now Winnie was demonstrating. She thought to herself that as long as she spoke clearly and had a clear goal, she could just shout out her destination.
Soon, she opened and closed her eyes and found herself in an unfamiliar room.
Winnie's house was quite big. She showed Praris around the house, including the kitchen, toilet, bathroom, balcony, bedroom, walk-in closet, storage room, and living room.
“When I was little, I always thought that even if I lived alone, I would need two rooms. One for my baby, and one for me. Now I have three rooms, which is more than enough!” Winnie said happily.
Praris said, "Can I take a look?"
"Of course!"
Winnie opened the storage room and took something out of the shelf.
It was a sunflower, but there were no sunflower seeds on the flower head, only a photo of Winnie, who was about twenty years old.
Winnie patted the sunflower, and the sunflower swayed from side to side, making strange noises: "Winnie Brown, get to work! Winnie Brown, get to work!"
Winnie burst into laughter, and after a while said, "This was made by my former colleagues at the Ministry of Magic. Isn't it fun? Back then, when I worked at the Ministry of Magic, the review process was incredibly fast, so I often found myself touching this and that. Sometimes when a mission came up, I would easily miss it. So they made this."
"But I don't think it's a big deal if I didn't notice, since I can finish the task faster than them anyway. If you ask me, being lazy is the way to make money, and I deserve to be paid for my work."
"That's right!"
Winnie tiptoed again, touching here and there, and soon found two palm-sized stones. However, these stones looked more like two buttocks than she could tell.
“I use it to hold my wand, like this!”
The two "butts" are placed on either side, and the slit in the middle is aligned in a straight line. The wand is thus placed securely in the two slits.
Praris watched as the former First Spell Examiner pulled out one abstract thing after another from her "treasure chest".
Prarese had a slight suspicion that Lucius Malfoy's dislike of Winnie might not be due to her depravity, but rather because the person herself was inherently abstract.
Even if Winnie were still working at the Ministry of Magic, even if she were still the First Charms Inspector, Lucius Malfoy might not be able to accept this unconventional witch appearing in front of him.
Winnie had accumulated so many little trinkets that she really wanted to show them to Praris one by one. By the time they sat down on the sofa, it was already noon.
Chapter 41 Willing Sinking
“We went out for lunch and then went to Liberty Department Store.”
Winnie wanted to show Prareas all her interesting things, which resulted in making a mess of the house.
She raised an eyebrow at Praris triumphantly: "See, this is when the organization magic comes in handy! Put everything back in its place!"
Praris looked up as these random things spun in the air and then landed neatly back in their places.
This is Winnie Brown, a bright graduate of Ravenclaw, a former examiner of the Experimental Spells Committee, and, of course, the watcher sent by Dumbledore.
This was a gentle trap that Prares willingly walked into, and also a calculated scheme by Dumbledore.
Praliss is interested in spells, but can you imagine an extraordinary witch sharing her spell-making ideas with a first-year Hogwarts student in a pub? She doesn't consider herself to have any outstanding features, such as a lightning bolt-shaped scar on her forehead.
There's no such thing as a free lunch, but Winnie did choose her at the Leaky Cauldron.
Ms. Prim Purnell was unaware of this, but for Winnie, Prim Purnell's decision to work at the beauty salon was a lucky coincidence. Winnie didn't need to find excuses to bump into a little girl at the Leaky Cauldron or anywhere else every day; she could simply hang around at her good friend Ms. Prim Purnell's shop.
In any case, Priscilla wouldn't refuse her. In other words, Priscilla is soft-hearted towards all women.
During her chance encounter with Malfoy, Pradernes ruled out any connection to the Slytherin faction. In their conversation on the first day of the holiday, Pradernes confirmed that she was Dumbledore's woman.
Actually, she had expected this, she just lacked solid evidence.
That's easy. The only people who know about the board of directors are: Malfoy, the fickle board members, and Dumbledore.
But Ms. Priscilla is right; living with women is blissful. Prader, who only has herself to worry about and has never experienced family affection, finds a subtle sense of warmth in the beauty salon.
What is home like?
The monastery organized a craft activity for the children. One child, who wasn't very bright, couldn't seem to get it right. Her parents didn't get impatient at all; they just stayed with her, taking it apart and rebuilding it repeatedly. Finally, at the very last moment before the activity ended, they succeeded.
This happened when Praris was seven years old. Three years later, when Praris was ten and about to start high school, the girl still remembered the "little nun" (which wasn't actually a little nun) they were waiting to complete. She told Praris that she had kept the little craft all along, which had been lost by the nanny and they had found together in the trash can.
Love is staying by your side even when you're clumsy.
Ms. Priscilla tolerated her bickering and gossiping friends and buddies, allowing her friends to run around and cause her trouble, allowing her buddies to slack off in the apothecary to do their homework, making afternoon tea for them, and even sponsoring them to go shopping in London.
Rather than treating her like a boss and employee, she treated her more like an apprentice, or even her own child.
Prarese cherished this warmth, even though she knew Winnie's arrival was because of Dumbledore.
Compared to Prader, Dumbledore paid more attention to Potter. Potter probably also had someone watching him, not his Muggle aunt and uncle, but probably a neighbor or something.
She was treated somewhat like a savior, but unlike Potter's complete ignorance, she seemed more willing to succumb. It wasn't that she couldn't refuse Winnie; she simply chose to drown in Mrs. Priscilla's tender love.
Winnie led her to the wardrobe, leaned against the wardrobe door, and casually dangled a finger biscuit in her mouth.
“Little Pry, you should change into clothes that Muggles would wear. We can’t go out in wizard robes.”
After saying that, she opened the wardrobe, revealing a dazzling array of clothes inside.
"Miss Winnie, is being a freelance writer really that lucrative?"
She had wanted to ask this question for a long time. Winnie Brown's extravagant lifestyle was disproportionate to her work; she must have other sources of income, otherwise she couldn't support her carefree lifestyle.
Winnie paused for a moment, then burst into laughter: "Being a freelance writer for wizards only earns so-so, but being a Muggle novelist is very lucrative. Muggles' bodies and society are too restrictive, imprisoning their minds in a small world. As a result, adult Muggles lose the rich imagination they had in their youth."
“But we wizards are different. We’ve seen different worlds, and even a simple alteration of our own lives can seem fantastic to them.”
Praris exclaimed in surprise, "I thought the secrecy law—"
Winnie said nonchalantly, "As long as you don't write anything factual, the Ministry of Magic will turn a blind eye. For example, Hogwarts is in the Scottish Highlands, but you can say it's in the Moone Mountains of Northern Ireland."
She patted Praris on the shoulder: "Okay, go ahead and choose the clothes you like!"
Without thinking, Praris grabbed a black shirt dress, but Winnie stopped her hand: "Oh! We're out shopping now! I thought you were going to church!"
Praris watched Winnie rummaging through the closet and couldn't help but say, "Miss Winnie, does it really matter what we wear? We're just going shopping, not walking the runway."
