HP North Star's Radiance

They gathered in front of Hagrid's cabin, but Hagrid clearly had no intention of holding class there; he told the students to follow him.
"Today, I have something wonderful to share with you, something I'm sure you'll all love!" Hagrid said mysteriously.
Draco turned to Praris and said, "Want to bet? This is definitely not good stuff."
Praris glanced at him out of the corner of his eye: "What blatant nonsense are you spouting?"
“Before that, you have to open your textbooks—” Hagrid shouted.
Draco, head held high, lazily drawled, "How do I open it?"
Hagrid seemed not to understand him and made a questioning sound.
Draco, surprisingly, did not show any impatience, but instead repeated his question.
Upon hearing Draco's question, Hagrid's face was filled with disbelief, as if they were entitled to know how to open the book.
He used Granger's books as an example, telling them that they could safely open them by simply touching the spines of the books.
Draco suddenly nudged her and said in an exaggerated tone, "Look at you, Praris, you should be touching it! How can you not know how to open this book? Even though you've read most of the books in the library, you still don't know this! I feel so sorry for you!"
Praris ignored him, stroking the spine of his textbook. This guy was clearly making a veiled attack, openly saying Praris was incompetent, but actually implying Hagrid was incompetent.
"I...I thought this book was quite fun," Hagrid said, his face full of unease.
Draco unleashed his full power: "Oh, you're right, it's so much fun. I'd find them even more fun if they weren't trying to use our hands for afternoon tea."
Harry couldn't take it anymore and stepped forward, saying, "Shut your mouth!"
He had always been close to Hagrid, and in his first year, he even helped Hagrid send away the dragon.
Hagrid, who had been interrupted, looked a little confused. After thinking for a moment, he remembered that he should bring the magical creatures over.
"He just left like that?" Pansy said incredulously, "leaving the students behind in the enclosure by the Forbidden Forest?"
“I’d rather he left and never come back, then we could find a teacher with a brain,” Draco shouted. “Hogwarts is doomed! Now anyone can take on students. I thought Hogwarts was a school, not some random shelter!”
"Shut your dog mouth!" Harry Potter stood up for Hagrid for the second time.
Draco, not to be outdone, said in a mocking tone, "Watch your back, Potter! The Dementors are watching you!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than a blonde girl from Gryffindor suddenly screamed, pointing towards the Forbidden Forest, and everyone looked over.
A group of more than a dozen enormous creatures ran toward them. They had the upper bodies of eagles and the lower bodies of horses; they were hippogriffs that had appeared in the Ministry of Magic catalog.
Prarese sensed that when Hagrid tried to get them closer to the creatures, her three girls clung to her and hid behind her.
Praris couldn't help but think: I feel like a mother hen protecting her chicks...
“This is a Type XXX magical creature,” Praris said clearly. “In the Ministry of Magic’s catalog, it’s defined as something that only capable wizards can handle. It’s not entirely harmless, but it’s not that dangerous either. Type XXXX is what’s considered a dangerous magical creature. I remember there are even wizards who specialize in raising hippogriffs.”
While Prareas was explaining things to the three girls, Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle were whispering among themselves.
"Draco, what do you want to do?" Praris looked at the guy warily.
Skilled magizoologists can tell what a magizo animal is about to do just by the way its tail twitches.
Praris now felt that Draco was going to cause trouble.
“If you want to do good deeds, find a better place. Hippogriffs are no joke,” Praris couldn’t help but frown as he reminded him.
"Hey, Prince, do you like Draco?" Zabini suddenly asked. "I didn't realize you cared about him so much!"
Praris pointed incredulously at himself, then laughed angrily: "Me? Like him? You certainly have a talent for disgusting people. Is randomly sticking golden arrows into people your hobby? If it weren't for the fact that you're all causing trouble for Professor Snape, I wouldn't care if you all died!"
Praris gave a disdainful sneer and turned back to continue talking to his friends.
Draco's hand trembled as he pointed at Praris's retreating figure: "What...what did she say!"
Crabbe and Gore pulled Draco along.
"Forget it."
"Her mouth looks like this."
Nott, always eager for drama, laughed and said, "She said it was disgusting to be put next to you, and she also said—it wouldn't matter if you died."
Harry Potter flew back, and many people cheered, but Draco, his two companions, and Prarese all looked grim.
Draco's reaction wasn't just because Potter had stolen the spotlight, but also because of Prader's words. As for Prader, she was innocent and didn't like having her feelings speculated about, regardless of whether they were true or not.
Hagrid released all the hippogriffs and chuckled, "Anyone else want to try? It's not difficult. Harry did it too!"
Millison mustered his courage, selected a smaller hippogriff, and beckoned the girls over.
“Play, you have to keep an eye on it. If it happens—you have to save me.”
Milison spoke in a girlish tone, but her muscles were actually converging towards Marcus's. When she hid behind Praris, it was unclear who was protecting whom.
Praris nodded and placed his hand on the wand hanging at his waist.
"Ah! Plai!"
Pansy, who habitually glanced at what Draco was doing, suddenly screamed.
Praris quickly turned around and saw the hippogriff that Harry Potter had ridden stretching its neck to bite Draco, who was lying on the ground.
She quickly raised her wand and struck the hippogriff.
The magical creatures' defensive capabilities are far superior to those of wizards; a spell that could have knocked a wizard away only forced it to take a step back.
Upon seeing this, Hagrid quickly took out a neck collar and tightly bound it.
To be fair, Hagrid saved it. If he hadn't controlled the hippogriff in time, Praris's next spell would have been one of the dark magic and curses she had learned.
Draco lay curled up on the grass, writhing in pain and screaming.
Praris ran over in a panic, frantically rummaging through her bag. With trembling hands, she pulled out a bottle of white lime and sprinkled it on Draco as if it were free; some landed on Draco, and some spilled onto the lawn because of her shaking hands.
It was made with white saffron given to her by Ms. Sprout, and Professor Snape allowed her to finish it under his nose at the end of the first year.
"What are you standing there for!" Praris shouted. "Millie, Hagrid, either of you! Carry him to the infirmary! Do you expect him to walk there by himself?!"
Hagrid's malfunctioning brain finally rebooted, and he scooped up Draco in two quick steps and ran towards the castle.
Pansy, who had been frozen in place, finally came to her senses and lunged to hug Praris, choking back tears as she said, "Pray! Are you hurt? He'll be alright, won't he? That damn half-giant, why doesn't Hogwarts expel him?!"
A Gryffindor retorted, "Isn't he to blame himself?"
"You mean, knowing that they are XXX-level creatures, it's correct to let students taking an elective course for the first time face them?" Pansy seemed to have completely memorized Praris's explanation. "Even your Professor McGonagall wouldn't have students try to use Transfiguration on themselves in the first class, right?"
Crabbe and Goyle also glared at the Gryffindor, flexing their muscles to intimidate him.
The Gryffindor's eyes darted around, and he reluctantly shut his mouth.
Praris didn't see exactly what Draco did to enrage the hippogriff. In fact, she could deduce it—it was nothing more than his smug arrogance. But Pansy's words weren't without merit.
Draco definitely did something he shouldn't have done, just like Longbottom blew up the pot in the first year, and Harry and the others blew up Slytherin's pot in the second year.
However, compared to students who lack self-protection abilities and whose cognitive development is incomplete, Hagrid, as a teacher, should definitely bear the primary responsibility.
First, he failed to properly judge what kind of creatures a beginner should come into contact with, and second, he clearly did not make any preparations for anticipating and dealing with dangers, unlike Professor Snape who could immediately produce a large amount of anti-swelling medicine to save his students.
Praris patted Pansy's hand and said softly, "Don't worry, he'll be fine. He cost me two-thirds of a bottle of White Dye."
"I hate you, yet I feel sorry for your potion! Come with me to see Draco..."
When they arrived at the medical room, Ms. Pomfrey looked somewhat speechless.
The first aid for this child was excellent. After administering most of a bottle of chlorhexidine, the bleeding was stopped even though his abdomen had a ruptured hole, but the child was still wailing and crying.
She had never seen a boy so afraid of pain!
When Prarees entered, Madam Pomfrey knew without a doubt where all that white stuff on Draco had come from.
“Mrs. Pomfrey,” Pansy said, sobbing, “how is Draco?”
Mrs. Pomfrey said expressionlessly, "I did my best, but he still feels a lot of pain."
"Oh! Draco!"
Pansy was pacing anxiously, while Praris stood with her arms crossed against the wall, coldly watching Draco lying on the bed.
Mrs. Pomfrey gave Prareth a helpless look, and Prareth nodded knowingly.
After Madam Pomfrey left, Draco's cries immediately stopped. This startled Pansy: "Draco, aren't you in pain?"
"You try getting scratched!" Draco yelled again. "Of course it hurts! Hey you over there, are you looking at a patient's expression?"
Praris slowly walked to his bedside, leaned down and said to him leisurely, "Who is that? I don't understand—of course not, but don't worry, if that guy bites you again, I promise I'll cry the loudest at your grave, making you feel really proud."
"I'm already dead, why should I care how loud you cry!" Draco shouted angrily.
Praris nodded firmly, looking down at him: "That's right! Look, you're still alive, full of energy, without missing any arms, legs, or neck, so you don't need anything else."
Pansy looked around at this person and that person, and finally turned to Praris: "He's a patient, can you let him have a turn?"
Praris shrugged: "Fine."
She didn't stay in the medical room for long. Although she couldn't continue this class, there was another class waiting for her.
She had two consecutive Potions classes in the afternoon, followed by Astronomy after dinner. Before Potions class, she finished the Transfiguration homework assigned by Professor McGonagall, and then rushed to the Potions class.
As everyone knows, Gryffindor and Slytherin take Potions class together, and during this class, the two sides seem ready to fight at any moment. If it weren't for Professor Snape standing above them, he probably wouldn't have been able to control the group.
Praliss wasn't too bothered by the matter; it wasn't a topic for her to get involved in. She had been more than kind to her classmate Draco and hadn't taken advantage of Hagrid's misfortune—hadn't she been merciful enough?
But Granger clearly didn't think so. She wrote to Praris to inquire about Draco's injuries, hinting that she wanted to know how Draco would deal with Buckbeak—the hippogriff.
Praris was doing her arithmetic and divination homework when she received the letter, and she almost burst out laughing.
Chapter 46 Bonus Chapter
“Miss Granger, how do you define our relationship?” Prarese wrote.
"I thought we were at most pen pals who learned from each other, and at most I gave you some heartfelt advice. But that was because the secret room affected my peaceful study life, and I would rather it disappear so I could continue my studies."
"This is mostly for my own benefit, with at most a little concern for an innocent little girl. It doesn't mean I'm particularly kind, much less that I would betray my friends. If you imagine me as the Virgin Mary, I'll be so disgusted I won't be able to eat breakfast tomorrow."
"I'm sure you've heard this saying: the only lesson mankind has learned from history is that mankind has learned nothing from history. Your friend Hagrid is the same way. Because Aragog didn't die, he thinks it's no big deal to keep some dangerous creatures that can't be fully controlled around him and bring them in front of the students."
"Anyway, Dumbledore will always clean up his mess, won't he? Once it happens, it'll happen again."
"If Buckbeak is going to face any crisis, believe me, Draco Malfoy is at most the trigger. The root of the problem is that Hagrid brought them to a world that didn't belong to them, leaving them to face vulnerable students and cruel humans without understanding the dangers they might be in."
"You might think my words are sophistry, and yes, that's true. I won't deny that I'm stating everything from my own perspective. If I were Gryffindor, you would see that I'm already working hard for Hagrid. Unfortunately, there are no 'ifs'."
