The monastery will only go to the church together on October 31st to hold a "vigil" with the faithful, and then celebrate Mass on All Saints' Day on November 1st.

The "vigil" is similar to a regular worship service, but it lasts for the entire night.

So! This was the first night on October 31st that Praris was able to walk freely.

The kitchen isn't far from the auditorium; you can take a shortcut through the back door of the auditorium...

Ok?

When Prarese pushed open the back door of the auditorium, she was completely stunned.

There wasn't a single person in the auditorium!

The empty auditorium was filled only with floating pumpkin lanterns and a half-eaten feast on the table.

Praris shook off the Celtic Halloween ghost stories Father Dorian had told him and took a closer look at the scene.

Most of the chairs here aren't upright, but tilted, suggesting that the students didn't just disappear from their seats—it's absurd—but left on their own. If it was a large-scale voluntary departure, and the items on the tables were intact and not on the floor, then it definitely wasn't organized by the students themselves, but rather at the request of the teachers.

It seems something unexpected happened.

If she were a teacher and an accident occurred, what would she do to protect the students' safety? Of course, she would have the prefect organize the students to return to their respective common rooms and take a headcount.

Praris closed the back door and headed towards the cellar.

Just as she passed the Potions classroom and continued down toward the Slytherin common room, Praris nearly bumped into "a wall".

"Ah!" Marcus exclaimed in surprise. "It's you! Prince! Where have you been? Draco said you hadn't returned to the common room, so I came out to look for you."

Malfoy discovers she's not there? Is this spoken in English?

Marcus led her back while explaining the situation.

Shortly after they started eating, Professor Quirrell burst in, saying that a giant had been found in the underground classroom.

“What? A troll?!” Praris exclaimed incredulously. “You mean a troll?”

She asked more questions tonight than she usually does in a week.

Trolls are creatures with little intelligence, native to Scandinavia, and are divided into mountain trolls, forest trolls, and river trolls.

Although Hogwarts is located in the Scottish Highlands and is near the Forbidden Forest, it is definitely not a habitat for trolls, let alone the fact that a troll could successfully enter Hogwarts Castle and go down to the underground classroom—a classroom near the Potions classroom—without anyone except Professor Quirrell seeing it.

Marcus didn't understand either, so he explained as he walked.

Professor McGonagall ordered them to get all the students back to their dormitories, but Marcus felt this decision was somewhat inappropriate. After all, Slytherins lived in the Hogwarts crypts, so close to the underground classrooms!

“This is practically handing it to us, just because we’re Slytherins!” Marcus said indignantly. “But Professor Snape agreed and even escorted us back, so there’s nothing more to say.”

Besides Hufflepuff, the closest people to the Great Hall were the Slytherins, and they retreated incredibly quickly.

Back in the common room, Marcus was busy maintaining order and taking heads when Malfoy suddenly shouted, "Bersd! Are you all grown up and your brain just for decoration?! Hey Marcus, Prince isn't here!"

Marcus jumped in surprise and shouted, "Has anyone seen Praris Prince?"

The Slytherins looked at each other, clearly none of them had any idea.

Millicen sobbed, "I don't know. I thought she came back first. She never tells anyone where she goes. If she didn't see us, she would definitely come back to find us. What if she encountered a troll!"

Marcus was instantly overwhelmed: "Is there anyone else who hasn't seen their roommate and companion?!"

Everyone shook their heads.

Marcus patted Malfoy on the shoulder: "Listen to Draco for now. I'll go find Professor Snape and have him find Prince."

Unexpectedly, Marcus ran into Prince before he even reached the auditorium.

"I wasn't in the auditorium when you guys were eating," Praris said a little embarrassedly. "We're in the lounge! Ambition!"

In the Slytherin common room, only Malfoy and Millison remained. Malfoy sent the others back first.

Malfoy covered his ears and rolled his eyes: "What's the use of crying! If tears were useful, cowards would all be millionaires! You should have told Marcus when you found out she wasn't in the group. What's the point of crying now? To mourn at her grave?"

“Don’t scare her,” Prarese said.

"Play!" Milison jumped to his feet and ran towards Praris. "Are you alright?!"

“I’m fine. I went to the auditorium and found you weren’t there, so I came back. I ran into Marcus on the way.” Praris hugged her. “I’m sorry to have worried you.”

Marcus yawned: "Then I'll head back now."

"Thank you for your help, goodnight," Praris said.

Marcus is gone, leaving only Praris and two others.

Prarese looked at Malfoy, not at all hesitant to say, "Thank you."

Malfoy paused for a moment, then his eyes darted around as he swayed backward: "Why are you thanking me? It's because you're a Slytherin too."

After saying that, he turned and left, walking faster than he could run.

After that, Milison became inexplicably clingy to her, following her everywhere, whether it was to the library or other places.

“I don’t think the library is a place where trolls would appear,” Praris said helplessly.

Millison was watching "The Warrior Jefferson" with great interest: "Is it common for trolls to appear in underground classrooms?"

So Milison also discovered that she had a "nest" in the glass conservatory, which was Ms. Sprout's tool shed, where she had cleared out space for Praris to store her gloves, denim overalls, and boots.

As the weather gets colder, it feels much warmer inside the glass greenhouse.

“Look,” Prarese pointed to Millison’s jeans, “Ms. Sprout sewed a flower on me.”

Basically, you draw a flower on the fabric, cut it out, and sew it along the edge.

“I really didn’t expect that,” Millison said in surprise. “This is completely different from your usual self.”

"What am I like?" Praris asked, somewhat curious.

Millison crossed his arms and pondered, "Very intelligent, even Professor Snape thinks so, and very knowledgeable and diligent. I often feel transparent in your presence."

“Aren’t you afraid?” Praris thought of Sister Mayne’s enraged reaction.

Milison shook his head: "That way, I can be more casual around you, since you already know what kind of person I am."

Ah, Milison is right, Praris knew from the beginning why Milison approached her.

Just as Granger was asking her about the toad, Milison walked down the corridor and overheard their conversation. In the small room, Milison's eyes clearly recognized her, which is why she asked Praris if she knew anything.

Her thoughts were the same as Daphne's; Praris was a smart and capable person, which was why they were trying to curry favor with him. It's just that Milison beat them to it.

But Praris didn't think it was a big deal. Relationships are inherently about mutual benefit, and she needed someone like Milison, who was well-informed and physically strong, by her side to compensate for her social laziness and physical shortcomings.

Malfoy probably thought the same thing, so he hired two "bodyguards".

"And everyone thinks you're cold and arrogant, and you speak very harshly, hahaha, a very typical Slytherin," Milison said.

Praris was a little puzzled: "Am I arrogant?"

"It's nothing, aren't we all like that? It's just that you're like Professor Snape, you look down on everyone. So no matter who it is, they're all the same in your eyes. Well, except for Malfoy before," Millison shrugged. "What's that? Like repels like?

"Huh? Who's gay with Malfoy!" Praris exclaimed incredulously. To be compared to Malfoy was an insult.

Wait, no, she swore to herself last time that she wouldn't bully him anymore.

Milison laughed: "See? I told you you were arrogant!"

Praris licked his teeth, turned around, pulled out a pot of grass, and shoved it into her hand: "Cat grass, it'll ward off fur. Shut up!"

Millison chuckled as he accepted the catnip. Meanwhile, Ms. Sprout, watering her plants in the distance, saw the two playfully bickering and smiled kindly.

Of course, it wasn't all good news. Headmaster Snape seemed to have injured his leg and had been in a bad mood lately, which made the Slytherins much more well-behaved, afraid of angering him.

Ms. Sprout also had her deliver herbs to the professor a few times, saying they were for making potions, but Praris saw a large bundle of white licorice.

Since Ms. Sprout didn't say anything, Prarese wasn't always curious either; she respected other people's privacy, just as she usually observed many things but didn't talk about them.

Chapter 10 Quidditch Match

boom!

Praris was knocked to the ground.

Milison quickly helped her up, yelling angrily, "Harry Potter! Are you blind?!"

Harry looked extremely flustered, running back and forth apologizing, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to!"

Praris ignored his apology, reached out and picked up a basket of herbs that had fallen to the ground, saying with concern, "Look, this gill sac grass got stepped on."

"You should worry about yourself first!" Milison said, exasperated. "Running so fast! Was there a dog chasing Potter?!"

“Miss Burstdle, I assume you’re talking about me?” Professor Snape’s deep, serious voice rang out.

Milison hurriedly pulled Praris against the wall as punishment, trying to make Professor Snape ignore her presence.

Prarese held up the basket: "Professor Snape, this is for you from Professor Sprout."

Snape snatched the basket away with a stern face: "Go find Pomfrey and apply the medicine yourself."

After saying that, he turned and left.

As soon as Snape left, Millison immediately put his hands on Praris's shoulders, turned her around, and looked her up and down: "Phew, you scared me to death! Did you see the Dean's expression? That Harry Potter guy!"

When Praris fell, she fell backward, but because she was holding a basket, she couldn't cross her arms to reduce the injury, so she scraped her elbow.

“Isn’t that strange?” Prarese said softly. “Professor Snape’s office is up ahead. What could Potter be doing there? He looks flustered. He did something wrong or saw something he shouldn’t have, and Professor Snape found out. But the professor’s leg is injured, and he can’t catch up with him.”

“Those nasty Gryffindors!” Millison cursed. “Do you know what he’s up to?”

“No, some essential information is missing. But it’s clearly not going to be in the professor’s best interest,” Praris said in a low voice.

She didn't like Professor Snape's favoritism, but she was a Slytherin, and the Slytherins treated her well: Milison always stayed by her side; Malfoy, though he didn't like her, took the initiative to let Marcus look for her; and Marcus risked his life to come out and find her.

Compared to Harry Potter, whom I don't know at all, it's clear who I should choose.

Prareas suddenly wondered if Professor Snape's favoritism was similar. Since the heart is on the left, people's hearts are often biased. Just as Professor McGonagall lightly overlooked Harry Potter's mistakes, Professor Snape's praise was less than that of his beloved Malfoy.

Milison made the final decision: "Let's go to the treatment room first. As for Potter, I think Malfoy would be interested. I really hope Potter bumped into me instead, so that Potter would be the one flying through the air."

Praris laughed heartily: "Mirison is really reliable."

Dinner time.

Today, Praris ate a shepherd's pie. Shepherd's pie is made with mashed potatoes and lamb. The Hogwarts shepherd's pie has a crispy layer of mashed potatoes topped with a generous layer of cheese, and inside is a savory and rich lamb filling—it's delicious!

Milison was pulling Malfoy along with one hand while babbling on and on, while waving his other hand around.
