Prareas said softly, "Darling, do you know what's the hardest thing in the world for people like us?"
She walked up to Hermione and said, "Choosing to do something is easy; choosing not to do something is the hardest."
Dumbledore is playing a game of chess, but the pieces are living, breathing people with their own thoughts. Some pieces are clearly the White King, yet they possess the qualities of a knight.
This is good; while the king is still growing, being a knight can hone his abilities and cultivate his character. But valiant battles can also lead to the premature death of a king.
This is the relationship between Dumbledore and Harry Potter.
With each move, not only are the white pieces watching, but the black player and their pieces are too. Revealing what should be revealed and concealing what should be concealed—this is what Dumbledore must do. If a piece obtains information it shouldn't know at that moment, a piece with independent thought might act unplanned, affecting or even ruining the entire game.
Does Porter possess the wisdom of "not doing"?
Could Porter be "patient"?
“It’s not Potter’s fault. He’s the only one who has faced Vader directly,” Prarese told Hermione. “No one but himself can understand the pressure he was under walking on the edge of life and death.”
"But Dumbledore had no choice. Everyone believed in him, and everyone's fate was in his hands. At that moment, he only had one choice, which was the right choice, not the appropriate one."
Just like Prarese, she didn't want to take any risks, but she still broke into the fake Moody's office.
It wasn't the right decision for her, but at that moment she knew very well that it was the best decision she could make at that time.
Hermione sniffed. "Okay, I get it. I won't ask you to answer questions you can't answer anymore—that's the wisdom of 'not doing,' isn't it?"
“Always the same.” Prareas smiled at Hermione. “I’ve always admired you. Let’s change the subject. I’ve heard the rumors about Potter’s mind—”
Hermione explained urgently, “That’s not true, absolutely not! You know Harry is perfectly lucid. He learned all your spells, and even used some of them. He’s fine—he just gets headaches sometimes, especially when he sees—”
Prareas interrupted Hermione, finishing the last few words for her: "Saw the Mystic."
“That’s right,” Hermione said.
“Gryffindors and Slytherins take the same Divination and Arithmetic class. If I remember correctly, you took it too,” Praris said. “So you certainly know that names have magic. But you might not know that it’s not just limited to divination.”
This is an introductory course to numerology and divination, specifically name divination.
Praris recalled, "In Muggle legends, there is a witch goddess named Hecate with three heads, three bodies, and six arms. Witches who call upon Hecate's name can enhance their magic. Although this is a Muggle conjecture about wizards, it is not entirely unfounded."
After saying that, she took a roll of yellowed newspaper out of her bag and said clearly, "In the later stages of the war, people used 'The Mysterious Man' as that person's code name. This was not only because of fear, but also because many people had accidents after calling out the Mysterious Man's name. Do you understand what I mean?"
"A newspaper? A newspaper from over a decade ago?" Hermione took the dry, slightly brittle newspaper. "How come I didn't think of that..."
“The enemy we face now is the same enemy our predecessors faced in the past.” Praris rested his chin on his hand. “Although they didn’t truly defeat the Mysterious Man, the information from the past will be of great help. The only problem is that we need to figure out whether some of the statements are artistic embellishments or factual information.”
The meeting ended with Hermione borrowing Prarese's old newspaper.
In the Triwizard Tournament, Harry Potter was the first to return to the judges' table with the trophy, claiming the championship. It was exciting news; Hogwarts had won, but now hardly anyone cared about the title itself.
First, all four heroes had been lying in the school infirmary for several days, forcing the cancellation of the awards ceremony. Second, rumors were circulating at school that "Potter said 'Voldemort' has been resurrected."
Thirdly, it was because Dumbledore actually announced Voldemort's resurrection at the school year ceremony.
"After all, if the mysterious man really did come back to life, how come nothing happened?" said an older student. "It's one thing for Potter to love showing off, but Cedric actually followed him in his nonsense."
His companion chimed in, “Dumbledore made it sound so terrible, but Harry Potter looks perfectly fine, and Cedric only lost a piece of flesh—Madame Pomfrey healed him quickly, didn’t she?”
The student who spoke first agreed: "Besides, we all know Cedric's injury was caused by a misappearance during Apparition. Maybe he and Porter were scared out of their wits during the match—"
Crabbe and Gore swaggered past the two men, giving them a disdainful look.
Draco snorted and glanced at them with a contemptuous look: "Utterly foolish!"
Crabbe and Gore both laughed sarcastically.
"He was talking to Rita, and there's no doubt that Rita is in his hands... I arrested her, so she can't make up stories about others anymore... Let's see if she can get rid of her bad habit of talking nonsense and slandering others."
clap clap-
Crabbe reached out and opened the door to Harry's three-person box.
Draco stood at the front and slowly clapped his hands, saying arrogantly, "How clever you are, aren't you, Granger?"
He strode into the box, looking down at them with a mocking expression: "Look at you, you've covered a reporter's mouth to make Harry Potter the boy everyone adores again—how amazing! This is what Savior Potter does!"
Draco spoke slowly: "If you don't think about it, nothing happens. If you don't see it, nothing is wrong. Is that right?"
“Shut your mouth and get lost!” Harry said angrily.
“I warned you long ago, before first year even started. You should have chosen to be with the right people, not…” He gestured dismissively at Hermione and Ron, “these kinds of people—Mudbloods and Muggle-friendly types. Now look what’s happened, the Dark Lord has risen from the dead! They’ll be the first, the Dark Lord will kill them, and then…”
A series of crackling sounds rang out, and for a moment the corridor at the back of the carriage seemed to explode like fireworks.
Draco and his two companions collapsed with a thud, revealing the grinning Weasley brothers behind them.
“It seems we’re not the only ones who want to teach him a lesson,” Fred said.
“What great teamwork,” George said.
“What beautiful sparks,” Fred said.
After saying that, Fred stepped over Gore's body and entered the private room.
George did the same thing, raising his leg to step on Draco.
"Enough is enough?" a voice rang out. "You attacked a classmate, didn't you?"
George turned to the side and they saw the girl standing at the end of the carriage. She had changed into her holiday clothes, dressed like a gentleman from the last century, in a black waistcoat and a white silk shirt with lantern sleeves.
Her two dark eyes stared coldly at the five of them, but there was no hatred or anger in them.
She simply said calmly, "That's enough about the lesson. I'll take them away, but if you do anything unnecessary—you'll see why some Slytherins are afraid of me."
“I’m really scared,” George said to Fred with a smile.
Hermione glanced at her, then at the three people on the floor, her eyes filled with disapproval. But Hermione said nothing, simply gesturing for George to come in quickly, and then closed the door to the private room.
Praris lowered his eyes, knelt on one knee, and bent down to examine the curses on each of them, muttering anti-curses under his breath.
The more she possessed, the more insatiable her inner greed became. She longed for family, and to raise her wand to protect her loved ones who loved her unconditionally.
She couldn't help but stop and wait for Draco to approach, even though she knew he and she had never been on the same path.
"Did I tell you to do this?"
Have I ever agreed with you even once?
"Don't we all know perfectly well?"
"You can't accept him,"
"Shouldn't I accept his love?"
Praris's reason condemned her heart and mocked her absurd actions.
She repeatedly taught Draco and admonished Hermione, emphasizing the importance of reason and patience. Yet, even when Draco acted recklessly, she still kept Draco's collar chain on her own wrist, as if she were putting shackles on herself.
"Damn Potter!" Draco said through gritted teeth, holding Praris's potion bottle in his hand.
Gore grimaced, "Why does my back hurt so much? Prince! Why don't you teach them a lesson!"
Praris leaned against the wall of the VIP box, legs crossed, reading a newspaper. Hearing this, she sneered, "How amusing. The three of you can't beat the five on the other side, yet you expect me to deal with them all by myself—am I misunderstanding?"
"No way?" Crabbe scratched his head. "You can still lose? And they attacked from the shadows!"
"Shut up, all of you!" Draco stopped them from continuing. "What's the rush! Potter's good days are over! The Dark Lord has been resurrected, and he'll only be smug for a few more days."
Praris ignored him and continued reading his newspaper.
The Hogwarts train rumbled forward, and whatever had happened that year, it eventually ended with a whistle.
Praris got off the train with her suitcase. She glanced around the platform but didn't see Winnie or Ms. Prie.
“Hey, Prince.” A messy curly head appeared in Praris’s line of sight.
Praris said in surprise, "It's you, Heidi?"
"Little one, little one, your parents have important things to do!" Heidi patted her on the shoulder. "Let Heidi next door take over for a bit."
Praris asked, puzzled, "What did they go to do? Where are you taking me?"
Heidi waved her hand: "I won't call you Little Prince anymore, I'll call you Little Question Mark, you have so many questions!"
Ms. Prim is reliable, Winnie is irresponsible, and Heidi is completely unreliable.
This was Praris's first time riding the Knight Bus, which was practically driven by bandits.
The Knight Bus has no route map; it goes wherever passengers want to go. It never avoids any buildings, crashing into them as if nothing is in its way.
The Knight Bus moves as if it's rushing to its death; if Hades wants it to die at 3 PM, it wants to die at 1:30 PM.
vomit--
Praris was leaning against the wall of the Leaky Cauldron, vomiting, and old Tom laughed heartily.
After a while, Praris recovered and sat down at the front desk of the Leaky Cauldron: "Where are Ms. Prie and Winnie?"
“Ah, they said they were going to visit important guests,” old Tom said slowly. “They’ll be back tonight. Here, the key to the beauty shop.”
As night fell, the shops in Diagon Alley lit up one by one.
boom!
The two ladies rushed out of the fireplace and landed lightly on the ground.
“Ms. Priscilla! Winnie!” Praris stood up abruptly. “You—”
Prim and Winnie each pulled down their hoods and shook their hair: "We're fine."
Prim said, "We all know what happened after we went to Dumbledore's place."
Winnie's face paled. "I knew you didn't want to go. Praris, listen, you can't stay with me. I'll buy you a ticket to America. I have an older friend who's the vice principal in Ivermony, and they're willing to give you a chance..."
Rather than giving Prarese a chance, it's more accurate to say that the other side has high expectations for the students trained by Winnie.
“I’m not going,” Praris interrupted her. “My home is here, my family is here, I’m not going anywhere!”
"Come on, your family? Hill is much safer in jail than you are!" Winnie paced back and forth irritably. "The Dark Lord knows I betrayed him, he'll definitely come after me! Not just you, Prim will have to hide too."
“I’m not talking about Sylvia,” Prarese said. “Winnie, it’s you, it’s Ms. Prim, my family includes you.”
Chapter 97 The Phoenix Society
Winnie stopped and stared at her, stunned.
“Oh, I’m so sorry—” Winnie covered her face with her hands and sobbed, “I didn’t mean to bring you, to bring you… He came back to life! He summoned us with the Dark Mark, but I didn’t go.”
