Pirates on Rocks' Ship 996

After bringing Robin aboard, they did not return to the New World immediately, but instead went to the 41st Division to check on the situation as originally planned.
After returning to Marco and the others' destination, Robin stated that she had not received any news of Blackbeard Teach's arrival. Crocodile, after all, treated Alabasta as his base, so no movement could escape his notice. Just like Marco and the others, they were discovered by Crocodile as soon as they landed.
After learning that Teach had indeed not come, Marco had no choice but to turn back and head towards the New World. Robin also witnessed what kind of existence the Whitebeard Pirates were—an existence that could make countless pirate crews retreat on their own initiative just by using their pirate flag, and even ordinary marines dared not approach them.
This situation did not change until after the New World.
"The pirates in the New World are different from those in the first half of the Grand Line. There isn't as much order here. Although our Whitebeard Pirates still have absolute dominance here, we can no longer suppress them with just a flag." Seemingly noticing Robin's confusion, a crew member explained with a smile.
"I see, that explains why everyone's mental state was different after leaving Fishman Island!" Robin said with a smile.
"There's no other way. The pirates who can survive in the New World are all truly vicious and ruthless, so we have to be on our guard!"
"Is there anything I can help you with?"
"No need. Although this is the New World, there are usually no fools who would dare to provoke us! Besides, you are a guest, how can we let you help us?" the crew member replied with a smile.
Although the pirate ship encountered some battles along the way, they were all attacks launched by the pirates, who plundered a lot of supplies.
As Xuan Yue Island came into view, Robin suddenly felt a little nervous. She was finally about to meet her father, and she wondered what it would be like.
While on the ship, Robin had subtly inquired about Reina, and her image of her father had become more vivid.
Marco and the others noticed Robin's subtle actions and guessed that Robin and Reina must be related, otherwise she wouldn't care so much about Reina's news. This eased their anxiety a little.
Actually, when Robin wasn't around, they had discussed Robin's background, but they had too little information to make a reasonable guess. However, they knew one thing: it shouldn't be a bad thing for Reina. So, they were all looking forward to Robin and Reina's meeting, hoping to go back and watch the show.
Finally, when the pirate ship entered the port of Crescent Moon Island, Marco and Robin disembarked and the first thing Marco asked was if Reina was on the island.
"The first mate is on the island. He's been testing the island's defense system with the Doctor lately. My dad, on the other hand, goes out for a stroll every now and then!" the crew member who came to greet them replied with a smile.
"Great, is he on the Sky Island or somewhere else? And where's Dad? Is he on the island now?" Marco asked impatiently.
"The first mate is in the open space on the back of the island, testing some weapons. As for Dad, he should be over at the banquet square! Captain Marco, do you have something urgent to discuss with the first mate?" A crew member asked, slightly surprised by Marco's appearance.
"It's alright, everyone go back and get some rest! Robin, come with me, I'll take you to see Dad first! Then I'll have someone notify Reina to come over!" Marco waved to his teammates in the first squad behind him and said.
But those guys acted as if they hadn't heard anything, and none of them intended to leave. Instead, they followed Marco toward the banquet square.
"These guys... are a bit strange!" The port guard muttered to himself as he watched Marco and his group leave.
Soon, Marco led a nervous Robin to the banquet square, where some drunk crew members lay sprawled on the ground, while others played a pirate version of Monopoly.
In fact, Reina had designed a huge board game room for them on the second floor of the main building, but those guys just liked to play there. After Reina told them off a few times, he just stopped caring about them.
"Oh? Marco's back? How was it? Did you run into that Teach guy?" Curiel, who was still drinking with Whitebeard, greeted Marco drunkenly.
Marco completely ignored him and went straight to Whitebeard, saying solemnly, "Father, I met someone in Alabasta, and I brought her back!"
"Hmm?" Whitebeard put down the huge gourd in his hand and looked at Marco.
“Nicole Robin, this is our old man, the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates!” Marco said to Robin.
Robin took a few steps forward and stood directly in front of Whitebeard.
"What did you say her name was? Marco..." After carefully examining Nico Robin, Whitebeard's smiling expression slowly faded.
“Nicole Robin, or you can call me Benedict D. Robin!” Robin said calmly.
But as soon as she finished speaking, both Marco and Whitebeard froze on the spot.
Marco was named because Robin never mentioned his other name along the way, while Whitebeard was named Benedict D.
"Are you Olvia's child?" Whitebeard suddenly stood up and asked.
Robin nodded, tears welling in her eyes. After calming herself down, she said, "That's right. After my mother gave birth to me, she sent me to live with my uncle's family, and then went out with an expedition to find the Poneglyphs..."
After she finished telling her story, those around her who were still somewhat conscious were all stunned.
"So...so that means...you...you are Reina's child!?" The still slightly drunk Lakyo was sobered up by the shock and asked in a stammering voice.
“If Dr. Crohar isn’t lying to me… then it’s true! My mother sent me to live with my uncle’s family so that she could finish the Poneglyphs work as soon as possible. According to Dr. Crohar, my mother was afraid that my existence and hers would affect my father! So before he died, he told me not to mention this to any outsiders except you and my father!” Robin nodded and said.
"Lakuyo, go and fetch Reyna!" Whitebeard took a deep breath and said, "Child, how have you been all these years? After what happened at Ohara, I thought there were no survivors left in Ohara! I never expected you to survive!"
After Robin finished recounting her background, Whitebeard thought about it carefully and found that what Robin said matched up. After Reiner and Olvia separated, he had gone to Ohara several times, but he had never met Olvia in person.
They didn't see each other until a year later. During that time, Olvia must have been hiding with Dr. Croha's help, deliberately preventing Reina from finding her.
During that period, Reina always seemed a little unhappy whenever he returned, so Whitebeard remembered it very clearly.
Robin casually recounted her experiences over the past few years, but everyone, including Whitebeard, knew how difficult life was for an eight-year-old child with a bounty of 7900 million.
"Now that you're home, there's no need to worry. This is your home! If anyone dares to bully you in the future... let them know that the Whitebeard Pirates are not to be trifled with! Even the World Government and the Navy will make them regret it!" Hansen said with a hint of heartache.
“This is Toris Hansen, currently the captain of the Sky Island Guard, and a good friend of your father, Reina!” Marco knew that Robin didn’t know the man at all, so he introduced him in a low voice.
"Hey Lacujo, why are you in such a hurry? I'm walking, don't hold me back!" Just then, Reina's voice came from behind the impatient Lacujo.
Chapter 212 Recognizing Relatives
Upon hearing Reina's voice, Marco and the others suddenly became excited, and even the crew members who were sleeping nearby were woken up by those around them.
Robin, who had been trying to remain calm, finally began to tremble uncontrollably when she heard Reina's voice.
"Huh? You're... Robin? What brings you to Crescent Moon Island?" Reina, who was walking over, naturally saw Robin immediately and greeted her with a smile, "Ah~ No wonder that guy Rakuyo told me to hurry up and come over, so it's you!"
Reina's words stunned everyone, including Robin and Whitebeard.
"You know me?" Robin was extremely surprised. She never imagined that her meeting with Reina would be like this. She had thought that he would recognize her immediately because she looked so much like her mother, Olvia.
However, judging from the other person's expression and emotions, it was completely different from what she had imagined. The other person did not treat her as a relative at all, but rather... like an old friend.
"Reina, are you aware of Robin's existence?" Whitebeard asked, his brow furrowing slightly.
He assumed Reina knew that Robin was his daughter and that she was still alive. If that were true, Whitebeard would be furious if Reina allowed Robin to drift aimlessly on the seas.
“I know! She’s Olvia’s brother’s child. I even held her in my arms back then! She loved me when she was little, and she would smile whenever she saw me!” Reina said with a smile.
However, when he saw Whitebeard's serious expression, he understood the reason after a moment's thought and said with a smile, "As for Ohara after its destruction, I know she should still be alive, but she has her own mission, so I didn't go looking for her!"
He thought that Whitebeard felt sympathy for Robin because of her status as a survivor of Ohara, which is why he offered that explanation.
But after he finished speaking, everyone looked at him strangely, as if they were looking at an idiot.
"Hey... what's wrong with you all? Although she's Olvia's brother's child, I told you she has her own mission, which is why I didn't bring her back!" Reina immediately explained upon seeing the expressions on the faces of those around him.
"Mission? What mission do I have?" Robin looked at Reina, with countless things he wanted to say, but in the end he only asked this question.
She didn't understand what kind of mission she had to complete. Was the darkness she had encountered in the past her mission?
“You don’t understand! I’m asking you, do you know Salong? Haguval D. Salong!” Reina shook his head and said seriously.
“Salong? You know Salong?” Robin asked, taken aback.
“It seems you have indeed met him! This is the beginning of your mission! Do you remember what Salong said? A person cannot be alone forever on the sea. A group of companions are waiting for you in the future! Following in their footsteps is your mission!” Reina said with a smile.
"Reina, so you know what she's been through all these years?" the white-bearded man asked expressionlessly.
“That was a trial for her. Without experiencing that kind of darkness, she wouldn’t yearn for the light!” Reina shook his head and said.
"You know? You actually know what I've been through? Hahaha... You actually know?" Upon hearing Reina's words, Robin suddenly collapsed to the ground and burst into tears.
Robin's sudden breakdown completely baffled Reina. What happened all of a sudden?
Marco and the others couldn't bear to watch; the scene was too cruel. They were certain that if Reina knew Robin was his child, he would bring Robin back immediately, regardless of any training or mission... he wouldn't care about any of that.
Whitebeard also sighed. This was Reyner's own doing; he had no one to blame but himself.
As Robin just said, based on their experiences over the years, they could imagine that a young girl would have given up long ago if she didn't still have some hope in her heart.
These thoughts were of his great and radiant father, but Robin was indeed finding it hard to accept what Reina had just said.
“Reina… haven’t you ever thought… that she’s your child?” Marco, who was standing to the side, couldn’t stand it anymore and said directly.
“My child?” Reina was taken aback, then smiled and said, “Don’t joke around, she’s Olvia’s brother’s child… Olvia told me that herself, and besides… she… she…”
As he spoke, Reina slowly realized, "That's right!"
If Robin isn't Olvia's child, how could she resemble Olvia so much? Shouldn't she look more like Olvia's brother?
The reason he recognized Robin the moment he saw her was because she looked almost exactly like the character in the original story, and because she resembled Olvia so much.
"You...you...who is your mother?" Reina trembled slightly as he slowly walked up to Robin and stammered.
“Olvia! My mother is Nicole Olvia!” Robin, her face streaked with tears, suddenly looked up at Reina and shouted.
"Then...then who is your father...?" Reina swallowed hard, asking with a mixture of anticipation and fear.
“Benelli D. Reina! My name is Benelli D. Robin!” Robin slowly took off a necklace from his neck, which had a special metal tag on it.
Reina immediately recognized the plaque that once belonged to him. He gently picked it up, and the part he had crossed out had been restored. Judging from the handwriting, he knew it was written by Olvia.
The back of the sign had a row of other names written on it.
“Benelli D. Robin… my dearest baby…” Reina slowly read the words above.
"Phew~ I see... I see..." The moment Reina saw the sign, he completely understood why Olvia had suddenly disappeared for a year.
"Hahahaha..." Suddenly, Reina laughed loudly, but as he laughed, tears involuntarily streamed down his face.
"Olvia...you really...you kept it from me for so long!" After laughing, Reina turned all his emotions into a sigh.
"Phew~ Big brother... I need to take Robin back to the West Blue!" After calming himself down, Reina suddenly turned to Whitebeard and said.
"Hmm? What are you going to the Western Sea for?" The white-bearded man raised an eyebrow, asking knowingly.
"Of course, it's about sending all those guys who bullied my daughter... to hell!" Reina said, his voice filled with murderous intent.
"Pfft, hahaha... I wonder who was it that just said those things, mission and training?" Laqué couldn't help but laugh and tease from the side.
"Really? Who said that? Tell me... let me hear it!" Reina said this with a threatening tone, and even activated his Sharingan.
Seeing Reina in battle mode, the crew members who were about to tease him immediately shut up.
"Alright, now that Robin is back, that's good news! Remember! I have to be the godfather of this kid! Ladies... get ready for the banquet!" Whitebeard patted Reiner on the shoulder and said with a big laugh.
Reina took a deep breath, helped Robin up, and said, "I've been bad these past years. Although I know you exist, but... but... okay! Saying all this sounds like making excuses. Please give me a chance, a chance to make it up to you... a chance for me to be a good father... please?"
Robin was overjoyed. Although she had been heartbroken by Reina's words, she knew that he didn't know her true identity, which was why he made that decision. It was just a cruel twist of fate.
The moment Reina learned of her identity, he wanted to take her back to seek revenge, and her words just now deeply moved her.
"Really...is it possible? They...they all said..."
"Nothing is impossible. Don't pay attention to what they say, whether they're pirates, marines, or even the World Government! You are my daughter, Reina's daughter, and nothing is impossible for you! I know how they treated you, but all of that is in the past. Believe me, with me here, no one can hurt you! Even the Marine Buster Call... if they dare to come, I'll kill them!"
